1st Day of BbS

And also the first of what will likely be many "BbS Tales" threads, because I'm having a ball with this game and I'm pretentious enough to think my gaming antics are worthy of being put on display.

Terra makes me lol so hard. He's pretty much the exact opposite of Sora. Sora arrives on the fringes of a Disney world that doesn't even know he exists and goes, "Hey, let's go help everybody not suck at remembering how their story goes! :D" Meanwhile, Terra pretty much gets dropped into the heart of a world that knows he's coming and already has stuff for him to do and says "BITCH I DON'T GIVE A FUCK TELL ME WHERE XEHANORT IS." Best example is in the Dwarf Woodlands:
"Hey you go steal dis bitch's heart"
"Haha whaaaat"
"Here's a box, get out loser"
"Kk"
-later-
"Wtf dude where's the heart"
"SHUT UP BITCH DIS SHIT'S MAH NEW LUNCHBOX NOW ASK THE MIRROR WHERE XEHANORT IS"

Also, I am already the king of Command Board, like srsly? Just picture this: I'm on the Keyblade Board, runnin' around on the little keychain squares on the left, right? And then I notice the prize cube on the exact opposite side of the map has one move left before it drops a prize. And we've been runnin' all over those squares so the thing's gotta have a craaaazy payout by now. So Aqua rolls, lands RIGHT on the square, and I'm like FFFFUUUU. So what do I do? I Stun her once, pass a checkpoint and get another attack card, Stun her twice, then use Three Dice. I move all the way across the board before she can take a single step. The prize cube payout is 1,700+, enough to push me over 10,000. I circle back around to the Start square and win the game. Also, from that same game, I got a Ragnarok card after hitting the purple square on the right side and soaring aaaall the way over to a bonus square on the left side. Feels good, man :'D

tl;dr: GET OUT NEANDERTHAL, I DON'T GIVE TLDRS. YOUR BRAIN COULD USE THE EXERCISE.

Oh, and quick question: Anyone know if X-link Kai requires your PS3 to be hooked up by ethernet cable for it to work? I wanna play online but all I have atm is Adhoc and that's one of the prereq's to use it.

Dude, I'm stunned that I haven't. It's soooo fun, and I'm really happy that there are benefits even if you lose. It's nowhere near the mind-numbing addiction of the Item World, but it's up there as far as mini-games go.

I'm honestly confused about MX. Is he just faking the personality, or is he faking faking the personality? It's definitely weird.

I gave up on the Item World when I realised how OBSESSIVE it could make me. I then promptly gave up on Disgaea, although I think that's because my friends started playing Monster Hunter.

That is an incredibly good question. I've read a few reports, and he doesn't sound like a terrible person. Plus, he makes very valid points, though they do tend to lead Terra a bit astray. Plus, what with the gradually escalating maturity factor of Kingdom Hearts with each new installment, I wouldn't be surprised if the antagonist turned out to be not so bad, y'know, before all the memory-losing and Heartless/Nobody-becoming.

Hahahaaaa, I am a shameless addict <3 Reminds me of something one of the NPCs says to Adell: "You're a battle maniac, right? Careful not to lose yourself in there," or something to that effect.

So far the best board for level grinding on is Cinderella's. There's only one opponent, and it's easy to place and level up the commands.

Lol, I'm playing now. Cinderella just rolled a triple 1, and I just rolled a double 6.

The antagonists were arguably good in KH2. It's rather difficult to tell, what with the lack of information we're given, and the way in which Sora outright attacks anyone in a black cloak. It all depends on what Kingdom Hearts actually does, and what happens to the hearts that make it up.

If Nomura REALLY wants to get crazy, I get the feeling Kingdom Hearts is gonna be the System Reset. Maybe it'll tie into a "6 dispensations" motif. I mean, that would be nice, it's mostly wishful thinking.

Beat Terra's story. I was just about ready to destroy my disk until I discovered the final boss's ultimate attack could be blocked. Someone tell Harriet I won if you see her around. <3

No, just a universe reboot. And I guess a series reboot, were someone to succeed in coming into contact with Kingdom Hearts, but ideally we'd want to avoid that.

The "6 dispensations" is one name for a concept which spans eons of different cultures, religions, and philosophies. It's the idea that the universe at large has expanded and contracted 6 times, and we're currently on the seventh. Or is it 5 and sixth? Eh. Anyway, those "expansions" are what we view as creation and those "contractions" are what we view as apocalypse, but all the universe's energy remains intact and is simply redistributed upon expansion.

Nomura already tried to pretend he knows philosophy with the Organization XIII, which is basically a rogues gallery of existential crises; I'm just wondering if he intends to take it up another notch. Again, likely wishful thinking. It'll probably be something much lamer.

So pretty much, KH causes the apocalypse? Could be interesting, but I'd much rather see a single fleshed out universe, as opposed to two different 'verses.
