Yes, so this. Thank you. lol, I just have a very hard time translating the thoughts in my head into something people can understand. Basically, I agree with what you're saying completely, even if I can't write it out right. XD

Wasn't it confirmed that this wasn't going to happen? Because I seriously don't want that either. I agree with most of your other points by the way.

This is true, but it doesn't necessarily contradict the evolutionary advantage of cheating. In species where this is true, females usually aren't the only ones who actively select their partners. When we're talking attractiveness, men unconsciously look for the "reproductive value" of a female. These are traits that signal fertility and youth. From an evolutionary perspective, and keeping in mind that breeding is cheap for a guy, it is sensible to ditch one woman for another with a higher reproductive value. These females are more likely to produce a healthier and attractive child.

On the contrary, it has survived so long because of evolutionary principles. How else do you explain the lack of paternal care in so many species (including species closely related to humans such as the bonobo)?

Not necessarily. I think the population would follow a sinusoidal pattern, with periods of it booming alternating with population crashes. These crashes are mostly a consequence of those high densities and the scarcity of resources it comes with. Having many children can still be disastrous though.

To my knowledge, homosexuality in general is still an evolutionary mystery. There is a shitload of hypotheses on the very topic, including some centered around the much reviled group selection, but I don't think there is a consensus. There's also the hypothesis that homosexuality is an overexpression of traits considered attractive by females (such as lack of aggression and social behavior).

    1. The whole concept of "****s"/"manwhores" should be done away with. If one has sex more than average/with more people than average (with protection), then I don't think they should be looked down upon for doing such actions. The idea of "****-shaming" is out-dated since ****-shaming was used to keep girls from getting pregnant/getting diseases from any random guy, but now that there are condoms to keep sex safe, there is no real downside from a woman being promiscuous (aside from the possible emotional complications it might bring up, but this isn't a guarantee).

ALTHOUGH! Cheating while in a relationship shouldn't be tolerated, of course.

    2. Most Classic Rock isn't very good. Led Zeppelin is pretty good though.

I'll get back to you when I find some more stuff to be a rebel about.

    1. There's practically no need for feminism in first world countries. Differences between how people are treated because of gender is inevitable, but both male and female have their pros and cons, and it's a pretty fair trade overall. Most of the neo-feminism bullshit I see (mostly on tumblr, surprise surprise) is just the result of over-analysis, laziness, and general bitchiness of the complaining feminist themselves, not everyone around them, men particularly.
    2. Trans-gendered people, unless they've had reassignment surgery, should use the bathrooms and locker rooms for their biological gender. Bathrooms and the like are separated by gender for a reason, and it's got nothing to do with your "identity" and everything to do with convenience for yourself and others.
    3. Consuming alcohol should be illegal, and just as taboo as drugs
    4. Smoking should also be illegal. Not as illegal as alcohol, but illegal nonetheless
    5. Both of the Silent Hill movies were FANTASTIC
    6. Dogs are crappy pets, and crappy animals in general
    7. Console gaming > PC gaming. There are a few exceptions to this (EX: Monkey Island, Touhou, Kerbal Space Program), but most games only feel "right" for me when using a controller, not a mouse and keyboard. On that note, Playstation master race.
    8. The Beatles were a crappy band. I know they contributed a lot to modern music, to which I'm thankful, they're just not my cup of tea. Their music is too slow, and they couldn't sing worth ****, which ruined the very few good songs they had. (EX: Live and Let Die, Imagine, Hey Jude)
    9. The whole bullying issue is being taken too seriously by the American educational system. Bullying is inevitable, and is a part of life, in a way. Work more on building the kids self-esteem up so it won't bother them as much.
    10. The Umineko anime was really good

Might not get ten but let's see.

    1) We should still be allowed to hit kids when they misbehave (Not sure if this applys outside of the UK)
    2) No matter how weird it'll look, men should be allowed to crossdress as much as woman do
    3) I don't see why Chuck Norris is so great

.....Okay so I only got three....

    1. People blaming society for everything. "Media tells women not to dress/act/look like this, this and this." "Society tells women/thinks it's not okay not to get x jobs" "Society puts pressure on x and x groups". Statistics that show certain groups basically give themselves **** because social expectations. We apparently have a lot, a lot of people who can't think for themselves just because "society told us not to".

    2. This country is going backwards, liberal style. Back in the day the conservatives ran societal thought processes and the minorities were non-Whites, homosexuals, etc. Now after fighting for all those rights they think it's okay to bash/hate the original "majority". I'm black and I'm honestly tired of black people thinking that they're the ONLY ethnicity that gets oppressed. The whole country is "black people, white people". Why only them? Hell, why is there still not enough Asian representation in the media? Are we still going to act like the entire Eastern hemisphere is nothing but China? If you're homosexual, have your rights. But media, don't throw it in my face all day and force the agenda on me. When I was younger all the shows I watched contained tons of groups and no one said ****, they were just there. Now it goes, "OOOH A BLACK GAY MAN OMG LOOK YOU GUYS RIGHTS"

    3. On the note of homosexuality, I'm a Christian. As I said, give them their rights. I don't completely support it but there is literally no point in denying them. Jesus and the apostles didn't go around picketing the government all day. He never even went and preached to the military or officials. They went and helped the sick and the poor. Jesus sat and ate with murderers and whores. Yet modern Christians seem to forget all this because they don't come within two inches of a Bible.

    4. Double standards in the modern liberal tolerance movement, particularly under the label of "tolerance". No one is allowed to disagree with anyone anymore. If a black man says, 'I hate whites" then that's cool. Pat on the back for him. But if a white man even speaks he's an ass. Seriously, when did it become blasphemy to be born as a straight white man. I will deal with your views, but don't talk **** about mine.

    5. Final Fantasy XII is totally underrated.

    6. Can we completely legalize marijuana already? Seriously did we learn nothing from prohibition?

    7. People nowadays are glorifying negativity. I can't go anywhere on tumblr without seeing at least one post that's like "I'm dying inside." "I'm not okay." "My life is crumbling" yada yada yada. Stop. This is coming from someone who has dealt with depression and anxiety for years, since I was 11. It is not cool. It is not edgy. It warrants serious medical attention and therapy.

    8. Respect is earned, not deserved. That goes for you too elders. Especially you. Just because you're old doesn't mean you've suddenly become omniscient. On another note, why do they need to say, "It wasn't like that in my day." Society is different when you were young. Half of you lived during the Korean war, through the Vietnamese and Cold Wars, and many of them don't know **** about any of that because there were only 3 news channels if that.

    9. The 21983 different terms we have now for different genders/sexualities. You can identify however you want, but you are either objectively male or objectively female. Come at me bro. And all these terms like sapiosexual, demisexual, pansexual are really interesting but really confusing. For example, sapiosexual is being attracted to intelligence; it's the deciding factor in sexual attraction. Straight/heterosexual is just being attracted to the opposite sex. Does that mean I can't be a heterosapiosexual? If I'm straight, do I not look at these things? Apparently people are rarely just heterosexual or homosexual but that begs the question. Why all the technical terms? Instead of it being a dating preference its an entire different sexuality.

    10. "I don't get taking pride in something you have no control over. Black Pride, Gay Pride, National Pride. I'm not proud to be Irish, just glad. Damn glad." - George Carlin

If you've been keeping up with the recent police shootings, it's the same thing with that. "Poor me, poor me! They're detaining/arresting me because I'm black." Don't get me wrong. Racial profiling and brutality in general from police officers does indeed exist, but that is not always the case. However, any time there's a police shooting now, we seem to only hear about it when it involves a black person, and people automatically assume racial profiling.

Indeed. Sexuality is very much fluid and we're not 100% of any sexuality, but we're dominant in one of them. For example, people who are straight are dominantly straight, but they all have a little gay in them. Using an example my friend, who's studying psychology, and I were talking about a while ago, you can be a straight male/female, but if you ever came across a situation like, "Ooh, that guy/gal is good-looking," it would be one of those where if they, regardless of their dominant sexuality, offered sex to you, you would accept it. Outside of that, though, you're straight and have sex with the opposite sex.

    Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmppppppppppppp

    1. America is not the greatest country in the world. Because it's not. We are the best at incarcerating our citizens and making ourselves fat.

    2. Religion of any kind doesn't hold all the answers. Most of them have recurring themes, and most haven't or won't update with the times.

    3. The DNR sucks. Hunting is great and all, but when populations of animals fluctuate and decrease on such drastic levels you clearly don't know what you're doing.

    4. Humans are the worst thing to happen to this planet. What have we done to benefit other species? We only try to save one once they start to become endangered, which is 90% of the time our fault.

    5. Animals are not stupid. Yes they have different levels of intelligence, and varying sizes of brains, but no animal is inherently stupid. Your cat is not stupid because it doesn't come when you call it. It is simply intelligent enough to realize there is no benefit in coming to you.

    6. Animal abusers should be tried on the same level as child abusers. Not sex offenders, but people who abuse and beat their children. Dogs and cats have the intelligence level of a one to two year old child, and when you get one, you take on the responsibility to feed and care for them, like a child.

    7. The legal system needs to be changed. You should not have to wait months or years for your trial to commence. You should not be judged by a jury of your peers, because most of the time your peers are biased or unintelligent.

    8. Abortion should be legal. Making it illegal will not stop abortions, it will only stop safe abortions. Plus you're basically saying that a girl who is raped and gets pregnant is at fault for letting it happen and should bear the baby as a result.

    9. Menstrual care items like pads and tampons should be free. Not to an extreme amount, but they are a necessity to women everywhere, and we should be able to have access to them without paying eight or nine dollars a box. Not to mention the number of bathrooms that don't have a dispenser or waste basket is astounding.

    10. Racism is caused by racism. Once you stop seeing someone as black or white, then you'll stop racism. It only happens because we recognize that people are different and treat them as such.

    And once again. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmppppppppppppppppppppp.

I feel so stupid for having said that Kingdom Hearts II is a better game than the first, just because you can use a launcher and have near never-ending button mash combos...

Anyway, new opinions I want to get off my chest:
    1. Highly conservative Republicans, and especially Libertarians, are some of the most privileged and ignorant people I know of. Just because you're doing well and have a certain set of morals doesn't mean the world should just keep rolling the way it is.
    2. Everyone should at least try to learn another language. It's truly one of the greatest ways to inspire globalism.
    3. Tradition without progression is potentially worthless and potentially regressive to humans. Why do so many people raised in highly religious or anti-religious or areligious backgrounds often become more open-minded? Because they're opening themselves up to new lifestyles beyond what they've known for so long.
    4. Space exploration is one of the most important things we have as a species, and the fact that so many people couldn't care less about it speaks so much about a proper lack of education as well as a propagation of intellectual apathy. The fact that people care more about the God damn Kardashians than they do about water being discovered on a neighboring cosmic body or the advancements of technology that have come and will come from interstellar travel is one of the most disappointing things I've become familiar with.
    5. Religion has absolutely no place being publicized in the White House, so why give a shit if any of our U.S. Presidents isn't Christian? If you want a theocracy, move to Vatican City. If you're against a government with any religious beliefs at all, just get over yourself you causeless rebel.
    6. We need to stop affirmative action in its current state and start caring more about the skills and dedication of workers. I literally Googled "affirmative action" and it's synonymous with "positive discrimination." This is not to say that minorities do not have obstacles imposed upon them, but the way to go about it isn't taking jobs and scholarships from people who actually deserve it.
    7. Gun ownership is a right that should be earned, not freely given. Require people to go through proper supervised training and psychological tests. Never sell fully automatic weaponry to the public; you do not need these firearms for any rational recreational activities.
    8. As annoyed as I'm getting with stories about school dress codes, many of them truly are barbaric in the United States of America. There's a certain point where I do agree that people of a younger age should cover up a bit (like, at least wear things to cover your crotch and butt and chest in public), but to restrict garments just because they expose things like shoulders and legs and backs is giving into the excuses so many sexual assailants have given. Have a God damn backbone, people.
    9. College needs to stop being pushed upon the younger generations as if it is the only road to success, happiness, respect and any other positive aspects of life. There are many careers that don't need degrees and make fine money and do really good things for communities: plumbers, electricians, mechanics for heating and refrigeration, public transport operators, etc.
    10. A product is not only as good as its fan base.

    O-kay, I have some.

    1. Everyone should be required to work at least 1 year in retail/food service. This includes during Black Friday and the Christmas/Holiday season.
1a. There should be a day were retail workers can say whatever they want to customers that warrant it without losing their jobs.
    2. Christmas should not be seen or heard until the day after Halloween. ( I love the Christmas season even with working in retail but goddamn have some decency.)
    3. Celebrities privacy should be respected because they are people. This includes their significant others, their families, and their private lives. If they volunteer the information, more power to them. But if it is not volunteered, it should not be shared.
3a. PEOPLE'S private lives should be kept private. I know we love gossip in this society but put yourself in another person's position for once.
    4. There should be an 'empowering' wardrobe option for male characters in video games where female characters have an 'empowering' wardrobe option. This also applies to comic books. If a female character has an 'empowering' costume, a male character should have one too.
    5. People do not exist solely for other people's entertainment.
    6. Birth control is for other things besides birth control. PMDD, PCOS, and generally letting women have some control over their bodies.( Apparently this is really popular around here from what I've witnessed? )
    7. Female birth control should be covered by health insurance plans since viagra and male enhancement devices are covered. ( Figured I should get a source for that one. )
    8. There needs to be better sex education in schools. Because I didn't know menstrual cramps could make me think my appendix had ruptured. [ My sex ed was pretty much abstinence, 'you have sex, you die', and here put a condom on a banana. The rest I learned from the internet. ]
    9. This kind of ties into 6 but a woman's body is her own damn business. Not some 80 year old male to decide.
    10. Suicide prevention should be taught on a high school level.

    1. More videogames should lessen their amount of in-depth story given (especially if it is a shoot-em-up because they just use it for filler to make the games longer). I don't care about the whole history of the made up world, I just want to get to the part where I get to play and have fun (hopefully). For example, the Dark Souls series is minimal in its storytelling and can be very cryptic, but they are very well made games. I can also list Shadow of the Colossus, Spyro (PS1 games, Lengend of Spyro trio for PS2 is the worst), and the older Pokemon games (haven't played any new ones) as good games that have simple story lines but are really good games. In SotC you are just killing the colossi. In Spyro you don't get a long exposition about each area's history branched off of the homeworld. And in Pokemon you just become the very best trainer and beat everybody.
If you have a really good story that can be both in depth and give the game plenty of play value, though, you are golden. Looking at you Okami, you beautiful game you.
    2. Abortion should be legal. Some women either do not want children or cannot afford them.
2a. Sterilization should be widely accepted and be a discussed option for those who have decided that they do not ever want children. Doctors are dodgy about the topic and instead discuss other methods of birth control. One BS excuse is that it will "hurt their psyche if they want kids later." Well if they want kids there are plenty already out there looking for homes.
    3. Company dress code should vary based on the seasons. I live in the desert and holy moly does it get hot, but we have to wear pants at all times. Why can't we wear like knee-length shorts so we don't die of heat?
    4. People who turn into "vegetables" after an injury should just be passed on into death. It takes too much energy to keep them in a stagnant stage of "life."
4a. Same applies to people with mental disabilities who cannot fend for themselves. Why spend so much effort on those who cannot survive on their own? Animals leave those behind who cannot keep up, why can't we?
    5. Skinny villains are way sexier than the buff heroes. For example, Joker is much sexier than Batman.
    6. More people should dumpster dive. Huge stores like Walmart constantly throw stuff out that could be worth a pretty penny to others, such as metal for recycling. More money to the individual, and less trash in the landfills.
    7. THERE SHOULD BE LESS BRANDS IN U.S. STORES. It is so confusing to have so many brands with similar products, especially if you stock them on the shelves. It just wastes time and energy.
    8. News about disastrous storms and mass shootings do not affect me. Didn't happen to me so why should I care?
One story that I have: The choir conductor of a church that my parents would take me to got stabbed right in front of our eyes. My mom was crying, and I was trying to see past the crowd to see what was going on.
    9. There should be more group housing (apartments) or smaller homes. Better on the environment, and easier on peoples' wallets. Plus it would discourage large families from developing.
    10. Parents should have a limit of 2 children maximum (preferably with one having been adopted). There are already too many people in the world.

If there's no hope of recovery, perhaps, but on the family's time; people need to grieve.
Because we're not animals. We also have these cool little things you may have heard of called "compassion" and "empathy" and "valuing life." People have value regardless of what they can or cannot do. Casting a person's life aside just because they don't meet some arbitrary criteria of "usefulness" is highly immoral and unethical.
More brands=more competition=no monopolies, so big companies can't just jack up prices to make more profit. If only Johnson & Johnson is allowed to make adhesive bandages, they can rocket the price to whatever they like. People won't have other alternatives, so they'll be forced to buy at whatever price is set if they want to have convenient and simple first aid options.
See second response. Also, allowing it to happen to someone else means it can just as easily come around to you.
Adoption is good. Mandating limits on childbirth, I think less so. Also, we don't need limits if we adapt to sustainable and renewable energy, housing, and eating.

Technically we' re animals period. Social animals. They all display "compassion", "empathy" and "valuing life", we' re not unique in that regard. We' ve even witnessed those traits emerge in species that didn' t display them before when we' ve forced them to live together in cages. What truly separates us from the other social species is not our intelligence per say, which isn' t all that awesome, nor empathy, which is a survival driven biological imperative, it' s our superior capabilities for language. They have allowed us to carry our knowledge from generation to generation instead of having to re-invent the wheel every time, especially in civilizations who discovered writing.

Yeah I know, it' s a bit of an idiom, the French use that one too.

I wouldn' t want to put words in his mouth but he (?) might have meant that such events don' t register on an emotional level for him, whether it does on an intellectual level or not. I' m very much the same. Everyone is. Of ****ing course you' ll care a lot more about what happens to your child than what happens to complete strangers. No need to beat yourself over it, we' re biologically programmed for that as well. Not that everyone is honest about it.

I got my bf to give me his own opinions. Muahaha. I agree with all but #6.

"1. People are too content to live mediocre lives. They wallow in self-pity, spend more than they earn, covet things they don’t have. They put their lives on hold, always saying they’ll ‘get around to it’ or they’ll ‘do it later.’ When they ponder death, they might think of the things they wish they’d did or want to do, but soon dismiss those thoughts. And so they sleep-walk through life. They age. They die.

    2. Adult prostitution should be legal and institutionalized. It provides a safer environment for women, allows for health checks and insurance for the workers. It’d be no different than women working in the porn industry. Of course, every business has a seedy underbelly, but measures would be taken to curb these.

    3. Some holidays should be cut since they’re taken advantage of by capitalistic fat cats. Every day should be Mother’s Day or Father’s Day (by which I mean, love your folks every day), not just because it was arbitrarily decided to be celebrated/marketed on a particular day.

    4. Cybernetic implants should be the norm, but not the law. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll reach an informational singularity.

    5. No one should be circumcised, unless it would somehow save the person’s life. For some reason genital mutilation is treated as a traditional thing.

    6. No one should be tortured, nor executed. No matter how grievous their crimes, people can be reformed, if they so choose. If a criminal decides to take his own life it’s within his right.

    7. Art shouldn’t be censored to appeal to foreign markets. Censorship is thought control. If people are worried about ‘corruption of the youth’, limit access to the artwork in question to those suitable instead of butchering the product.

    8. Religious teachings can be beneficial to people. Religious zealots are another matter. Multiple religions should be taught in schools, but not instated as a ‘national policy’. Let people choose their own schools of thought.

    9. Moral good can lay outside the realm of law. Oftentimes the law infringes on civil liberties and ethics.

    10. Nothing should be illegal which does not infringe upon another person’s liberties or cause anyone else intended or unintended harm."

    1. I believe there's such a thing as having bad taste in anime. Yes we do have our own tastes and likes/dislikes but deeming a show with no plot and overall a bad show better than most shows without even trying them is what draws the line.

    2. Twitch is fundamentally wrong. There's just so much wrong with some of the community, people believe that you HAVE to donate to the streamer or you're considered a free loader. The majority of the members stream with the intention to only become famous, and most of the famous streamers happens to be an attractive female. Now I'm not saying that's all the female streamers, but a huge chunk does use sex appeal to attract more viewers and subscribers. Also alot of social injustice happens on Twitch, famous streamers can pretty much treat people however they like because they can get away with it. Granted there's alot of streamers that do deserve the recognition they get, and there's some streamers that deserves more attention than what they're getting. I still watch a couple streams on Twitch and sometimes I do stream, but I just believe there's alot wrong with the community and the website itself.
Oh and Twitch created LowTierGod and DSP.

    3. Sometimes I dislike the Kingdom Hearts fanbase as a whole. Alot of the time it gets very toxic and I hear nothing but negativity towards the franchise. In my mind I like to believe that Kingdom Hearts is the greatest game that existed and there's nothing wrong with it (Though in reality that's not the case). So I just try to appreciate more than hate it. I kinda wish more people praise it than point out it's very flaws but oh well.

3.5. Honest to god it bugs me SO much that people bought 2.8 to only play 0.2 and disregard the other two games when they've never played it nor heard of it. Even on Twitter there's nothing but tweets that encourages people to buy 2.8 to only play 0.2. I understand how good 0.2 is but it's not the only game in 2.8, and the fact that people bought 2.8 for a three hour game really irks me.

    4. Nostalgia is bad to some extent. Because it takes over your personal biase and it doesn't allow you to appreciate the newer things today. Especially for older series in media such as anime, video games, and TV shows. It's almost impossible for an older series to start it's own thing without appealing to nostalgia or else. If it's entirely new without any nostalgic references, it'll do absolutely terrible even though it turned out amazing (Cough DMC Remake) (Cough Digimon).

    5. I don't like difficult people, or better put dealing with difficult people. You try to tell them one thing, they disregard you and immediately try to contradict everything you say in an one sided conversation that ends with them choosing not wanting to understand .

    1. I don't believe cheating within a relationship is THAT bad. It's not okay, but some people see cheating as an unforgivable heinous act and I believe sometimes it's a little more complicated than that. (some people cheat for the thrill of it that I don't agree with) but those who say "it just happened" well, sometimes it does. It's a reflection of the kind of relationship you have when the person cheats due to some kind emotional, physical or mental stress and they couldn't talk to you about it or they felt they shouldn't so they turn to someone else and one thing leads to another. We're only human. I'm just saying that before one goes "I can never forgive you" perhaps they should hear out their partner and try to understand, put themselves in their shoes and then decide where to go from there. Coming from someone who has cheated and has been cheated on.

    2. I'm also fine with consensual incest. I enjoy reading about it and watching it in anime and other forms of media. It makes me curious as to how one can mix family with romance.

    3. I believe masturbation should not be frowned upon within religion.

    4. Sex ED should be taught more often and more in depth in middle school.

    5. The whole cisgender thing is dumb to me. Did we really need another name for it? Male or female works just fine.

    6. Bullying should be dealt with more harshly. Detention and suspension just don't cut it.

    7. You're never too young to fall in love. The whole "you don't know what love is, you're just a kid" isn't always true. I had my first real love at 11 and although rare, I have seen some kids in relationships with a love just as genuine as one shared by adults.

    8. I'm not really a big fan of KH2. I find it a little bland in comparison to KH and BBS.

    9. I would not be mad if my future kid(s) sent nudes so long as they understood the possible consequences and only sent them to people they trusted.

    10. I actually loved both endings to How I Met Your Mother but I prefer the original ending. (the one that aired not the alternate)
