"Are James and Matt okay!?"

His gaze fell upon the two in question. He kept waiting for them to stir, but he knew that he could wait years and there'd be no change. It became too painful so his eyes closed. If only he had been faster. Or took more initiative. Then they wouldn't be lying there so still. But he did live through it, and one still breathed. Is this was they meant about pride?

He wasn't the first to diee. Or the third or fourth. Someone might remember him now.

"I'm sorry."

He had no idea how to respond. He was so upset that they were dead that he could cry, but at the same time he knew Ethan tried his best to save them. Above all else, he was grateful to be able to live for even just a little longer. Marilyn still felt sick from the whole drowning thing, but he was trying his best not to keep throwing up. He looked over at Ethan and the rest and said, "It's fine... it's... it's not your fault. Thank you for still coming to save me."

He tried to say that in a happier tone, but it did not come out like that in the slightest. He stood himself up and wrung out his outfit and shivered from being cold. The blanket wasn't entirely helpful but he wasn't going to pretend it was doing nothing, so he wrapped in around his shoulders and shook, "S-so what are we going to do now?" ​

It turned out that the key that they'd found in the room that Ethan was found and Jenn had died in was for a well where the rest of Ethan's group was at. Upon opening it, they saw three heads eventually pop up from the water. Only one of them was still alive though. They'd had lost four people in total now and they still weren any closer to finding a way out of this place.

"S-so what are we going to do now?"

There's wasn't all that much tat they could do at this point. Going back to their respective groups, or what was left of it in some cases, and waiting might as well meant that they'd given up and were just going to sit around and wait for death to come to them. If they decided to continue to explore, there was still no telling what else they would come across and who would survive it.

"We could backtrack and continue to look for something of help." Kaied suggested. Being quiet wouldn't bring them closer to a solution and so he decided to throw in his 2 cents on the topic.

Being thanked left a strange taste in his mouth. He couldn't reply to it so instead he stayed still and kept his eyes closed. Only when the next line was said did he open them, turning to the speaker.

"We could backtrack and continue to look for something of help."

He now stood, more than eager to move away from the two bodies of ones he failed to help.

"There was a fork in the path... One led to the gas room and one I don't know where it went. Could just be a dead end though."

Everything was just too silent for Dominik as he sat on their along with the girl named Rae Anne. He didn't know what he wanted to do, should he go on and see what was up there, or perhaps he should just stay there in where there didn't seem to be any danger. Perhaps he should have followed the others, they were probably swimming with something interesting. He begun to envy them, but it was too late for him to join them now.

Glancing over at Rae Anne, there was a thought that popped up in his mind and he couldn't just ignore it. He was far too curious to learn about what had happened, there was far too little detail to really of satisfied him. "So....about them red socks" Dominik said scratching the back of the head. If he wanted to break the silence he needed to open up with something.

"err...yeah...they're really great or something...woot they scored a lot of goals...or something" Dominik said closing his eyes as he crossed his arms "so err...what exactly are we going to do...I mean I don't mind sitting around talking about basketball" Dominik said

Marilyn followed the group rather thoughtlessly, still recovering from the fact he just nearly drowned. As they went to back to exploring, he finally realized there were new people with them. It almost gave him a bit of comfort knowing that there were other people around still and that they were okay.

When they took the turn in the direction they desired, they came across the exit. At least, it certainly seemed like it should be their exit. However the exit was walled off with barbed wire and boards. Upon further inspection, he noticed rusty nails sticking out of these boards. If they wanted to get out of there it would come at the cost of losing skin and getting tetanus.

Marilyn continued staring at the exit and whispered, "Of course leaving here wouldn't be that easy..."​

A vulgar curse word was uttered loudly from the mouth of Derron, but Aeron sighed and shook his head. At this point he figured Derron would have been quite pissed off and attempt to punch the barred wall, but Aeron was actually quite surprised to see that he managed to restrain himself. Even if they managed to get out of the place there was still the possible chance that the shock collars might go off and kill them either way. With that if they could ever dream of victory they first needed to take off the collars.

"Lets keep this place in mind and head off someplace else..." Aeron said pulling out a sheet of paper and begun to sketch his own small map to keep note of. While he was doing that he glanced out at the group and raised his eyebrow before staring over at Marilyn "Hey...was there anybody else in your group?" Aeron asked before staring over at Derron "You remember the challenge right? Each group had a representative and was equipped with a weapon..."

Derron raised an eyebrow and glanced over at the group once he realized just where Aeron was getting at. "Oi thats right, none of these people were in the challenge" Derron said glancing over at Ethan,Marilyn, and Brady. "So who was it in your group? That dead girl Sanic or something? the glasses guy with the knife? or that girl with the gun?" Derron said. The glasses guy was not an issue since they all had knives now, but the gun would be a huge problem.

"...you...already forgot there names?..." Aeron said rubbing his temples

"SILENCE! YOUR LUCKY I EVEN REMEMBERED THEM THE FIRST TIME!" Deron said not amused before turning back at the newcommers and crossed his arms.

Marilyn listened to Aeron's question and was going to answer but listened to him explain details. Then he heard Derron say something about a girl with a gun. Based on all other descriptions he had said, it was clear who he was talking about when he said girl with a gun. But he became so confused. Marilyn got chocked up and looked over at Ethan and said, "R-Rae Anne has a gun?"

Rae Anne was perfectly okay with the quiet. She was still composing herself, and the silence was welcoming even though she knew it wouldn't last. However, it seemed Dominik was not comfortable with it, and attempted smalltalk. She sighed because he tried to talk to her about sports, and that really wasn't her forte.

Rae Anne shook for a moment before she stood up from where she was sitting and she said, "They've been gone for a while now... do you think they're still alive?"​

As the group made their way back in search of a way out or anything of use to them. Eventually they did managed to find a exit, but it was sealed up to keep them from getting out and as it stood now, there was no way for them to remove any of the nails, wood and barbed wire. So we know that there is an exit to this place, maybe there's another one that we cane find. It was reasonable assumption that there possible was one exit that they overlooked or didn't put as much effort in sealing it up.

It had seemed that while Kaied was in his thoughts that Derron had asked about the ones who participated in the first challenge, forgetting the names of who had participated as well. What was brought to light was that the ones who had participated still had the weapons that they used in that challenged and Rae Ann had a gun.

"If she still has the gun that she was given, then it may be a problem if one of them were to start attacking everyone else." Once again he would simply just have to hope that it wouldn't come to it, no matter how unpredictable the situation was.

Finding the exit only to see that it was impossible to go through really did its number. He almost began to cry, accepting his death one more. But with the others here he managed to show no signs of any tears or pleads for death. Who knew if one of them would grant it or not.

What really prevented a melt down was hearing there was a gun in play. That pulled all attention towards that fact and away from the one that his knees felt weak.

"Should watch out for her... Even if it was an accident she already used it once."

Looking around once more it became painfully clear that being here was useless and a dead end. The need to get away from it gave him the energy to pull it together.

"We should also move... There was a hall across from our starting point I was curious about. We can head there, if no one else knows where to go."

"That damn well was no accident. Though she was upset the fact is she was the one who shot and killed Sonic" Derron said closing his eye as he took a step forward. "During that challenge we all went at it to kill each other. If those bastards tell us to kill for our lives I wonder who will ignore that order..." Derron said before glancing over at Ethan "well then its best we head there. This place shouldn't be that big and if anything we can find something useful or even more people..." Derron said.

It seemed his plan had worked and the lack of knowledge when it came to sports did not actually hinder him as he thought. This pleased Dominik quite a deal and he was glad to see the girl speak to him. Crossing his arms, Dominik place his hand on his chin "well...a whole bunch of things could have happened to them" Dominik said before staring back at her "so..um...what exactly happened in the challenge" Dominik said. He was far too curious about it and he wanted to know, his body was bursting with curiosity but he refused to show it.

 

A small red laser light came out of unseen hole in the wall. There was barely time to acknowledge its existence and run before three shots were fired. Two in the starting room for Group One and one in the starting room for Group Four. Three people had small perfectly round holes straight through their foreheads and out the back of their head.

The speakers in the two rooms crackled.
"You have sat idly by for too long. This is your only warning."

The silence in the room was abysmal following Brandy's leave. While Lester did say something, overall it was quiet in the room. More time had passed and the silence remained, that was until he heard a scream come from behind him. When he turned around he was greeted by Allen's horrified face and Casey's now limp body.

A closer look showed that there was a small hole in her head. What the hell just happened?

"You have sat idly by for too long. This is your only warning."

Warning? That word didn't leave a good test in his mouth and to make the feeling worst, he turned to see Lester with the exact same hole in his head that Casey had. Those bastards! Was this their means of motivations, killing them off. If not even this room was safe, then it was clear that there was only one option left for them.

Lucas took a quick sigh in the now deathly silence before moving to his brother. He lightly tapped his shoulder to get his attention. "Come on, there's no point in us staying here anymore." Especially not with them witnessing what they were capable of doing if they were to staying in the room.

It took a few moments and some help from Lucas, but Allen managed to get to his feet. Then the two of them did the one thing that they could think of, leave and see if they could either find anything of use or anyone else.

Rae Anne was aiming to answer Dominik's question when the speaker crackled and she quickly jumped, involuntarily, in fear. After a moment she listened to the rest and decided she wanted more than to get out of that room, and she walked over to where the flashlight was placed and she looked over at Dominik and replied, "I'll tell you as we move out of here, because I'm afraid of what will happen if we stay."

She turned on the flashlight and walked in the hallway, waiting to Dominik at first before she spoke, "Honestly... it was awful. Four of us were sent to a room and we had to kill somebody. We ended up killing a girl, I don't know her name but I know her face and I just... I don't think I can handle this... having to kill other people to survive."

She set them on a path that lead them all the way up the hallway, then it turned to the right, and she went up a hallway rather than continue down the hallway they just turned into. Because she knew that was the challenge room, and she didn't want to go there.​

Dominik's eyes widened the mere moments the speakers went off and Dominik jumped up to his feet staring around the area as he did so. There was no challenge, but even so they had to do something. If anything the others had the right when the chose to move about instead of idly sit around. It was disappointing that Rae Anne was interrupted, but it wasn't like she wasn't going to speak so he did have a chance to listen to her.

His interest was truly captured by the girls explanation of the event but even so it felt lacking. His body wanted to twitch, to burst from curiosity, but he had to restrain himself, he knew the girl was mentally scarred by the moment and badgering her would have only made it harder for him to find out anything.

Just what awaited them in the future? he wanted to see what would happen next and as they walked on he noticed something up ahead "whoa?! what the?!" Dominik said as he rushed forward and kneeled down towards the two bodies resting on the ground. "Whoa..looks like their dead..." Dominik said poking James' cheek "wheres all that kill or be killed stuff?" Dominik said as he continued to poke the body before he looked up at Rae Anne "Their bodies are wet...wonder how they died..." Dominik said nonchalant as he stared at the bodies once more and placed a hand on his chin while pushin up his glasses "mystery" Dominik said

Rae Anne stared in absolute horror at the bodies and she pointed at them with the flashlight, she continued to scan the room and noticed the trap door in the floor and the rug that was thrown in a rushed manner to the side. She kicked at the rug and answered, "I don't know, I'll assume it has something to do with this rug... and I don't wanna just sit around here anymore thinking about it..."

She looked at the two bodies and then realized... someone was missing. She quickly shined her flashlight around and questioned, "Where's missus man at?" she nervously questioned whether or not Marilyn had somehow killed them which... didn't seem like something he'd do but she never knew... she didn't except to have killed anyone. She shook her head and looked at Dominik, "Let's just go back the way we came and head somewhere else... alright?"​

 

Instead of going from bad to worse like things normally did, things went from bad to nightmarish. The only two known people of the group that he was in that were alive were himself and his brother. Since the people who placed them in to hell hole made it pretty clear that not ever the starting area was safe for them, they were left with little choice but to explore the death trap that they were imprisoned in.

After walking for what seemed like forever the duo soon found themselved to be in a different room. It was too dark to make anything out and since they didn't have a flashlight with them, it was anyone guess as to what was in the room with them. If it wasn't for that small detail he would've gave out a sigh of relief. But the reality was that they weren't out of trouble yet. Hell at this point he'd be glad us to find some other people. There's safety in numbers as they say.

Ever since the bus got hi-jacked and they were put into this dark and mysterious place, the tennis varsity player had prepared himself to be in a calm, levelheaded mind so that he could get through this torture without having to panic, mess up and increase his chances of dying. He had kept his cool during the first challenge - making sure to think logically not just for his safety but also his team - and even through their exploration through this dark place, making sure to try and take note of his surroundings despite how dimly lit the place was so he could somehow get a mental landmark map in his head. He had kept it together when they found the unconscious Ethan and tried his best to offer his help and even help out the others afterwards but this all changed when they entered that room because that room had a well and all he could do was have his turquoise eyes stare blankly at it. His breath was caught in his throat and his heart hammered in his chest. The water was so, so dark - just like everything around and it seemed to go on into oblivion.

He nearly jumped and gasped out loud when three heads bobbed up to the surface. He knew it - the water had swallowed them up and spit them out as corpses. His fellow schoolmates all rushed to help the floating, limp bodies but he couldn't find himself to move. He forced himself to look away from the well and saw that one life had been spared but that didn't let him breathe easy just yet - only when the group finally left that room and left that well behind alongside the dead bodies did he feel the tiniest bit better (although at the same time, not at all).

Anthony had become particularly quiet from then on. No more of his calm reminders exited his lips, only shaky breaths. His heart beat still seemed restless and maybe it was because he had finally come to terms with reality. All this time, he hadn't been intelligently guiding himself to be the thinker of the group. That was ridiculous, and he could see it now. He just wished it didn't have to take seeing the lifeless bodies of his schoolmates for him to finally figure it out - perhaps it was the dark waters that did the convincing. Nonetheless, he had been avoiding it this whole time - the truth. It registered in his brain that people were going to die but it didn't register that lives were actually going to be lost. For some reason, a part of him didn't really accept that they were really dead - like this was all just a video game or a nightmare.

They stopped by what seemed to be an exit. He was used to having so many things in his head but this seemed to bring it to a while new level - How long had they been standing there? He took a breath before stepping forward a bit, finally a bit ready to join into his group's conversation.

"Should watch out for her... Even if it was an accident she already used it once."

He was honestly a little skeptical with what they were saying. With what he's been witnessing now, everyone had been helping each other out. He remembered that he said to be careful and weary earlier but part of him honestly just wanted to see if the other groups still had living members. For some reason, just thinking that there were other students out there made him a bit hopeful.

"We should also move... There was a hall across from our starting point I was curious about. We can head there, if no one else knows where to go."
"Well then its best we head there. This place shouldn't be that big and if anything we can find something useful or even more people..."

Anthony cleared his throat, it felt so clammy from his nerves and not speaking up for so long, "We should arm ourselves with things... a-anything. It would be best for challenges, getting through doors like this one perhaps, and other surprises." He looked at the others with a serious expression, despite the small stutter in his words. He swallowed a bit and gave a small nod then, turned to face the direction they came and began walking slowly with his group.

Rae Anne had brought up quite an excellent point and Dominik began looking around the area looking for the missing person "Hey! your right! Heshe is not around..." Domnik said jumping up to his feet and gave her a salute "but if we're to leave then lets not waste any time!" Domnik said. It was odd, the more he went on this travel, the more easier it was for him to speak. It was quite interesting really. "Alrighty! off we go!" Domnik said walked back through the path they came from.

Aeron noticed the claim that Anthony had made and closed his eyes with a sigh "yes weaponry.." Aeron said pulling out a knife. "Me and Derron brought a couple of knives we found in the supply room. Jen was acting strange and trying to hide them so we had to sneak them from the supply room...there is no point in keeping it a secret. Me and Derron got 5 each so that leave 10 in total...we can always go back to the supply room if necessary..." Aeron said. Keeping the knives a secret was advantageous, but hiding them and being caught was something that could have ruined him. He was not in it to kill them, but he had to be cautious.

Brady was more than confused as he zoned in on the final part of his group's conversation and noticed them walking away from what looked like the exit to this hellhole. "Uh, why exactly are we walking away from the exit? If we go back some more things could... go wrong. We may not even make it back here. Are you sure that this is for the best?" Maybe what he was saying made no sense, but Brady didn't really care honestly. He just wanted to get the hell out of here. He was tempted to just leave his group and leave through the exit, but he'd seen enough teli shows to know going off on your own in a scary situation like this was far from smart. Hopefully he could convince everyone to turn around instead. He doubted it though; they all seemed pretty bent on finding more weapons, or whatever.

The pit in the boy's stomach only grew with each step he took away from the exit. What if this were his only chance to escape? Thoughts flooded into his head, making him doubt his decision. He'd become very indecisive; in fact, he even stopped as the group continued to walk and looked back to the exit, which had been fading away rather quickly. Common sense, combined with fear of being alone, knocked him in the head and he immediately rushed back to the group.

Maybe this was the right thing to do. He didn't know what was right anymore. This place left Brady feeling hollow inside. Even if he were to escape, he don't think he'd ever be the same.

Still, he continued to walk.
