Allison got up and went downstairs to see what there was for breakfast. Nothing much. Well nothing much to her. She had come across her parents and after greeting them they drew her attention to a letter they had received. Something from school. It remained unopened, since it was kind of for her. She went to the letter and after a few minutes of trying to open the letter without the top ripping, Allison opened it up and read it. Brookbridge Academy? Her parents asked what the letter said. She explained that she was to go to Brookbridge Academy since the school got flooded. They were delighted as Allison went back upstairs to her room. Brookbridge. Technically, Allison lived in Brookbridge and probably would've gone to Brookbridge Academy had it not cost some money as well as requiring a test. Those who passed the test were eligible to be granted a full ride scholarship and not need to pay. Though the acceptance pool was quite large, there was still a lot of competition. Not to mention the test was very similar to an IQ test. Allison had some beef with that place obviously. Before she had gone to Bellhurst High, she had made some friends in junior high that were all also Chinese. Thus, in a way they were all "friends of sorts" since their respective mothers all knew each other. Except one was not a "friend of sorts". She was a best friend. Clarise was a friend that share all of Allison's interests, except she was far prettier and talented than her. Clarise was an artist, a writer, a dancer, and a gamer. She was funny and smart and sociable. She was truly a great friend and it was no wonder that she was also good friends with the other kids that Allison filed as "friends of sorts". They were all also quite smart and true Asians. However, Allison was not. At the middle school she had gone to, they were all in higher class levels than she was. They were in "gifted" classes, while she was in "honors" classes. Thus, even though Clarise was a good friend, she never could understand or hang out with her enough to further cement their friendship. Their friendship was sturdy as a string. Easily cut. And it was cut when they all took the test for Brookbridge's scholarship. They all received it and entered Brookbridge for their high school, except for Allison. She didn't make it and was forced to go to Bellhurst instead. Not that there was anything wrong with Bellhurst it was just seen as less...presitigious to the critical eyes of the crows that made up the Asian mother gossip circles. She hated how word spread fast through the moms. And she hated hearing about other family's Asian success stories about their kids. Oh so and so got into medical school, oh so and so did this and that. Allison didn't need to hear any of this crap, but her mom always told her anyway. She never outright asked the question, but Allison could tell what it was that she was wondering. Why can't you be like them? Why can't you make your parents proud? "Heh." smirked Allison as she lay back on her bed remembering and pondering all this. Well she could stop worrying about that. Her days were numbered after all. No more need to worry about any of that crap with bringing honor and glory to her parents. And it wasn't like Clarise and Allison stopped being friends all of a sudden, they just weren't as close anymore. And to think I used to grieve the day our friendship would dissolve into something like this. Well it's happened already and I don't feel much of anything. Going to Brookbridge probably wasn't going to be that bad, she probably wouldn't even see any of those people, the place was so huge. And they probably wouldn't even recognize her. It had been a few years after all. However there was this dorm situation. Should she stay there in the dorms? Or commute? Commuting would be a pain, and Allison got the feeling that her parents would want her to really experience the setting. Guess I should hope for a good roommate.

 

Heidi watched as the old man left to take a nap. i hope he's okay. Don't worry about them. But they're nice to me. Forget about it. she cautiously stepped down the staircase and towards the kitchen,following after altair. The carpet squished between her toes, almost as if it were absorbing her bare feet. She peeked around the corner, noticing a familiar letter in altair's hand. h-how...wh-when...i threw it away? her mouth hung agape and eyes wide.

"Uh...um..." she entered the kitchen cautiously, hair still dripping onto her robe. The belt loosened just a bit, and her hands flew to her waist, pulling the belt tight again once more. "Is he okay?" She glanced up at him with bashful eyes. Her lashes fluttered as she moved around the breakfast bar and to the refrigerator. The sudden realization that she was virtually naked dawned on her and she blushed after turning away.

i...i should go get dressed. This is wrong... yeah. Why would he want to see you like this? Look at you. You saw your reflection. Disgusting. I...i know... she bit down on her lip as she pulled open the refrigerator. Suddenly, the large kitchen felt very small.

 

John could feel a rush of excitement flow through his body. Starting in his heart and surging to the tips of his toes. He watched her intently! This is it was all he could think as he safeguarded her mittens while she stood up and discarded her scarf. He wanted to focus on her entire body but when she suddenly revealed a wand he watched it, riveted by one part of himself while loathing the ease in which she believed and was about to display her power.

Her words hit his ears and he shivered, he couldn't catalogue that language she spoke even though he tried. He would ask her about it later. After hearing her repeat her phrase again and again she still had him captured. Even when she stood frozen and he sat tensed swearing he could feel nothing happen. Slowly John's head tilted left then right, maybe time had frozen.

Nope, time still moved forward, people kept enjoying the park. And John began to harden up his face, his fist clenched up as she timidly whispered someone's name. Simon? Whatever! Grasping her mitts in his left hand he began to walk towards her in indignation. How dare this fake! Trick him like this! He moved slowly but closer, how dare she lead him on with her talks of magic and rainbows! How dare she...make a rapidly purpling bruise form on her right shoulder. Her scarf would have covered it completely but with it out of the way he could see it since he was right infront of her. It was strange, so strange and sudden that John stopped and stared dumbly at it. It was red, then a bluish purple, and now it was staying that color. How did that form there? She didn't get touched by him or herself. Maybe she was allergic to the sun. But she was fine at the hot springs and other places. How was this happening?!

He noticed her walking back to the sidewalk.

"Hey! Where are you going?"

John's hand reached out to stop her, grabbing her small wrist and then there was a flash of light that made him flinch and let go. The sky turned abnormally dark and an angry rumble of thunder could be heard from a far off place. When he opened his eyes again, it seemed Eleanora had completely vanished and a much older looking girl stood in her place.

Bronagh yawned as she walked down the stairs after waking up after a rough night. She had to wake up at 2 am to go and get her mother from her friend's house, because she was too drunk to drive and to drunk to walk.She does not have her license, so she had to walk about a block with her mother passed out over her shoulder.​

Bronagh took off her hat and shook her head to allow her hair to breath for a few minutes. She took a brush to it and turned on her computer with her toe. When she finished brushing her hair she logged into her username and walked over to a counter to sort through yesterday's mail. She opened up a notice from her school and read the message out-loud before writing a small note for her mother to wake up to.​

When she finished writing she looked over at the clock on her wall and sighed, walking into the kitchen and putting a couple pieces of bread in the toaster. Groans slowly approached her coming from the hallway and she rolled her eyes and belted, "Go back to bed mom, it's too early for you."​

Her mother still walked out older her head and looked over at Bronagh and mumbled, "I just wanted to wake up and tell you that you're going to Brookbridge Academy."​

The toast in the toaster popped up as soon as there was silence. Bronagh raised an eyebrow and said, "Because of the flood... right?"​

Her mother nodded as she trudged back into her room shouting, "Don't get yourself killed!"​

"That's not funny mom!" She shouted back as she started to butter her toast. She was going to have to deal with another school now? She just got used to her best friend moving to New York, now she had to get used to a new school. She closed her eyes and she placed her head on the marble counter and stayed there for about 4 to 5 minutes before her head shot up and she shouted.​

He was running out of questions and his palms showed how panicked he was, his higher pitched voice did too. "This is a game to Crestatia... Just what rolled his eyes at her responses. Not another sarcastic bitch, just as conceited and bored like the other one. Catastrophe 's became much more obvious to his senses as she spoke. A screech of tires here, a roar of thunder there. He did this. He brought this all on them. His fist were once again curled up as his sides and he glared at the bored Witch. "I brought you here to answer a few questions and help me. Help!" He yelped the word help. After all another tree fell. And this one was much closer. [ LEVEL FIFTEEN - BGM14/2 - STATUS: ??? - UPDATE ]​

Before beginning his search Anthony replied to Cherno.

After scrounging around Anthony managed to find an old gameboy, once lost from the times when he used to spend the nights at aunt Victoria's house. Finally, something mobile. Well, other than his phone, but games on that sucked. And with this new triumph he felt energized enough to find a gift for Altair before leaving.

However what promised to be an uneventful walk turned into something quite horrifying.

First it become increasingly hot, to the point where he had to remove his jacket and tied it around his waist. Though even that did little to assist his cool down rate. Then it got worse.

It felt like something out of one of his dreams, the rain and snow falling at the same time even while the sun was still shinning. Perhaps he never really did wake up. He was content with believing that than the reality of things up until the ground began shaking. Even this heavy sleeper would wake during something like this.

Stumbling around he soon lost his footing. Backside planted on the sidewalk now the boy could only watch as things around him began spinning out of control. Quite literally, as a car began coming his way. This sent the boy in a frenzy as he shouted and hurried to his feet, making it out of the way just in time. Just like at Lacey's. Hm...maybe his speed stats were maxed out...

FOCUS.

Right! Running around to the driver's side Anthony peered into the broken window to see an injured female inside. However, despite running into a pole the driver was considerable lucky. These new cars really earned them safety awards, huh?

After helping the woman out of her car and asking if she was alright - to which she replied with a 'yes' - the sky began to darken. This caused both of them to fall silent as they watched the moon, suddenly oblivious to whatever other dangers that laid about them. About two minutes later and the silence was finally broken, the woman saying something about the world ending.

"Maybe not the world...but the game..." Ignoring her confused look Anthony began moving again, finding the sidewalk much harder to walk across now. The cracks, branches, and darkness. All of it. It was just awful. And with each step he became increasingly worried for the others. A mass text, then.

When the light came back navigating his way through the panic and mess became much easier. In fact it was pretty fun. It felt like a true game now, one without death and just saving people and obstacles. Of course this wasn't true, but if believing in it for the time being helped then he was going to do just that.
Why, he would even be laughing again if it were not for his worry about everyone else. Waiting for replies was awful...however he could at least check on Altair and Heidi in person. He was already almost there by the time all of this started, having went the hour long walk on his own. Could have gotten a ride, but why? At first he wanted to be alone on the way so he could use the time to prepare himself to face others again. Though now he was grateful for walking, since he got to help that woman.
Now at the address given to him by the Jr. Hero (Yeah that's right, he's only a Jr. Hero now. No one surpassed Anthony.) he knocked on the door, turning to see a fallen tree near by but noticed how the place seemed mostly intact.

But what had happened? What caused this in the first place? He was hardly connected to the others as he'd like, something he now wished to fix, so it was impossible to tell if someone had broken a rule. Wasn't this a bit too extreme for a broken rule though? Normally only the rule breaker died. Then again...the demon in charged loved dramatics. Though, it felt like something else. But if not a broken rule then what?

Crossing his arms he continued to ponder this while waiting for someone to answer the door.

 

Heidi released the fridge handle as the world began to shake around her. She dropped to a ball on the floor, hugging her knees tightly to her chest. What was going on? There were never earthquakes. She quickly began hyperventilating as her heart rate sped up. Why was this happening, why?

As quickly as the earthquake came, it left. She was a ball rocking on the floor. It was so hot in the kitchen too, but she was already down to her bare minimum. She felt the water from her hair mix with the newly found sweat on her body creating a finer layer of water beneath her robe.

BLACK. heidi thought she must have lost her sight for a moment. Everything went black. Even that ended as quickly as it came. What was going on? She remained as a panicked mess on the floor until there was finally a knock at the door. This was good. It was a distraction. She used the edge of the counter to pull her up and stood there, knees shaking. Heidi inhaled deeply before slowly making her way towards the door. She counted her steps. 27 in all. There were 27 steps from the refrigerator to the front door.

Her fingers wrapped around the handle. It was strange, how warm it was. Everything had become so hot so quickly. She twisted the knob, opening the door, and her expression fell. "A-anthony...?" She asked confused. Why was he here. She was happy that he was here, but she was still only wearing a robe.

Heidi turned to flee upstairs, leaving the door ajar and a confused Anthony behind. Her body felt hot again, but for whole new reasons. She was so exposed. It was bad enough she came down and altsir saw her, but now someone else has too?

it's a good thing you've run away deary. They don't want to see you like this. Am i really that repulsive? You saw yourself in the mirror. Why even bother asking? her bedroom door slammed shut loudly as she dove for the protection that was her new bed.

As Alyssa prepsred herself some insta-oatmeal, the world began to shake and the oatmeal started spilling out of the bowl. ​

"Earthquake." Lisa said, then took cover under a table. Alyssa did so as well after she put down her oatmeal. ​

Then as the earthquake ended, the blackout began, which Alyssa assumed was to be because the earthquake must have knocked down a power line. ​

"Everything is gonna be ok Alyssa, just calm down." She told herself.​

Bronagh was still waiting for her mother's reply as she felt the ground shake below her and she grabbed onto the counter and slowly brought herself lower to the floor. When she got to the floor, she covered her head in case her pots and pans fell out from inside the cabinet.​

When the shaking was over she looked around, her computer(Which had finally loaded up) had shut off and all the lights around her. She crawled over towards the living room in case there were after shocks and her world went dark.​

Wait, what is this? I understand an earthquake maybe happening at random but is there a eclipse outside?​

Bronagh jumped up and tried to remember where the door to the street was. When she knew she had it right she ran to the door and opened it up. Just as she opened it however light shone again and she covered her eyes. She looked up and took a step outside, her eyes getting adjusted to light again. When she got outside she turned and saw one of the trees in her garden knocked down on the ground.​

"No! Not my dad's tree!"​

​

She ran over to it and kneeled on the ground. She examined it and sighed in relief when she saw it was uprooted and not snapped. Since it is a small, lightweight Weeping Cherry tree she lifted it up and started to bury the roots of the tree once more.​

When she was done she got up, wiped the dirt off her hands, and looked out onto the road and mumbled to herself, "Now, that's very odd.... very very odd...."​

 

As Alex headed back upstairs to wake up his mom, he suddenly felt the earth start to shake. Even though he was in a bad place for an earthquake, he managed not to fall down the stairs by grabbing a hold on the rails. When the earthquake finally stopped, he let go of the railing. Only to have his entire house go black with darkness. His attempt to navigate up the stairs ended with him falling all the way back down to the kitchen. Which was were he noticed out of the kitchen window the eclipse. "Just what the heck is going on."

With a smiled Altair walked out of the kitchen nonchalantly. With nothing to fear Altair continued to walk until the dreaded earthquake took place "Earthquake? NOW?" Altair said as he held onto the wall for support. Though the earthquake was short the sudden rise in temperature immediately caught the teen's attention and caused him to rush out the back door.

"What the hell?" Altair muttered as the darkness enveloped the area. "what kind of friggin ******ation did the others do to get her pissed like this" Altair said narrowing his eyes. Soon enough everything came to an end and Altair walked back into the house.

"OIIIIIII ALTAIR.....DID YOU FART OR SOMETHING" yelled the old man from his room

"YOU FRIGGIN TROLL HOW THE HELL CAN I FART AND CAUSE SUCH A EARTHQUAKE" Altair yelled back as his eye twitched.

"AH SO YOU ALRIGHT THEN, THAT MEANS I DON'T HAVE TO GET OFF MY ASS TO HELP YOU....MAKE SURE HEIDI IS ALRIGHT" the old man yelled

"WHY DON'T YOU DO IT YOURSELF I-" Altair began to yell as he suddenly noticed Heidi opening the door and running off. Glancing over at Anthony, Altair closed his eyes a smiled "Hey Anthony glad to see you" Altair said. The change from an utterly pissed off face changed to a pleasant one in a mere second.

[ LEVEL FIFTEEN - BGM14/2 - STATUS: ??? - UPDATE ]​

There was a bit of shouting before someone finally opened the door. By the looks of it, it was Heidi. But she soon became a blur as she ran away. Had he done something to offend her? Frowning he stepped inside and closed the door behind him, assuming he was allowed in now.

"Hey," blink. Hm. He missed something just now, though he was unsure what it had been. "You alright?"

Looking around proved that this house made it out okay, though things were surely fallen. He would help but...messing with other people stuff normally got him yelled at. Plus he was suddenly wondering why Heidi was here as well, since he never saw Jr. Hero with her before the springs.

"By the way, are you two...related or something?" with that he gestured to stairs.

"Ah nothing to worry about, I'm perfectly fine...it'll take much more than a mere earthquake to do me in. I'm just glad to see nobody got hurt around here" Altair said as he glanced over at the staircase and let out a small chuckle "ah you must mean Heidi,no we are not really related. Heidi had now where to go so I merely took her in. Isn't that what a hero should do?" Altair said with a smile towards the senior hero.

"Heidi should be getting dressed now so she will be down in a bit. Why don't you take a seat for a bit and rest?" Altair said as he led the boy over to the living room.

She was going miss this place once she left. She liked it better here than at her old orphanage, and it was starting to grow on her. She wasn't moving out permanently- coming back to visit wasn't the hard part. Finding time to do so once school started again would be.

Cristina stood up and mouthed a 'thank you' to Mrs. Kerring. She was probably the most caring person she had ever met since her parents, and Cristina appreciated it. With a smile she began walking out of the dining room. Still feeling lightheaded, she stopped, put her hand over her forehead and closed her eyes for a moment. The floor shook causing her to nearly fall and hit the wall. An earthquake? She decided to stay away from the walls. Suddenly all of the lights in the building shut off. Luckily it was day, otherwise it would've been pitch dark. Perhaps I should stay here in case anything happens. For awhile, Cristina noticed that the light outside was slowly becoming dimmer and then there was none. What? She looked out of the window closest to her. There's an eclipse?! Where's my sketchbook? It was upstairs. Oh. That's great. She did not want to walk up the stairs. She was afraid that another tremor would occur while she was walking on them. Golden opportunity lost.

Soon enough, everything went back to normal. The lights went back on and the sun disappeared behind dark clouds. That was definitely not normal. She wondered if it was the doing of the strange email. The guy did say that it was giving them trouble...Cristina sighed. She cautiously walked up the stairs, holding tightly onto the railing. In her room, she saw Tamora beginning to pack her belongings. There were still a couple of weeks before they had to leave. Is she that eager to leave? Hearing her walk in, Tamora looked up, "Ew, your sick germs away from me."

Cristina ignored her and walked to grab her bag. She quickly placed her phone, speech device, sketchbook and pencils into it. Cristina left the room without even acknowledging her roommate's presence. She had given up on her attitude. She put on her shoes and walked outside. It was a bit warmer than she had expected, but otherwise it seemed normal enough. Where to go today?
