Nope, Books 3 and 4 were both 13 episodes, and Book 2 had 14. Only Book 1 had 12.

The most sequel wise we'll get from the series will probably be delivered via comics. There's currently a whole series of comics written by Gene Yang about the ATLA gang's adventures following the war, and considering their popularity thus far, Korra comics are definitely in the realm of possibility.

When they first introduced the idea of the Colossus I was afraid it was gonna be dumb but man it was so good to be proven wrong. The strategy was great; seeing everyone do their own part in taking it down, no Jinora Christ saving the day with a ball. And just the sheer collateral damage from the fight! The Unalaq Kaiju fight made the vines but nothing else really happened, which is bullshit all things considered, lol. But here everything was getting wrecked. Kuvira and Korra basically set off a ****in nuke in the center of the city. This is the kind of high stakes a giant battle should have and it was amazing.

Yeah I thought the same about the heart to heart too. The look on Kuvira's face before the cut back to before they walk back into Republic City makes me think they talked more offscreen possibly, but agreed that it's fine.

I also really liked that Wu stepped down and decided to let the states govern themselves! It's great for showing his maturity as a character but it also ties back in that Great State of Yi or w/e from the first episode this season, which I completely forgot about till he mentioned the states.

This is definitely my vote for Korra's strongest finale. I think I enjoy Book 3 a bit more as a whole product since Book 4 got a little sluggish to me around midway, but Book 4 was really solid, and with Korra Alone and The Last Stand, easily had the two single best episodes in the show.

Characters that are probably dead, from most likely to least likely to me:
Wing/Wei -> Mako -> Bolin -> Opal -> Tenzin

Characters that are definitely alive: Korra, Su, Bataar Jr.

I think Su's gonna live because I swear Bryan or someone from the crew posted an image of her and Lin from color correction during the finale. Korra has guarenteed plot armor till she fends off with Kuvira (plus she jumped pout of the way of the blast & debris) so I'm not worried about her. One of the twins or Opal dying would definitely hit Bataar's "WHAT HAVE I DONE," not to mention one of the twins dying would further the Weasleys parallel~

Mako has a high chance of dying since he was the closest to the window and whatever else was going on. Which is sad because I really started liking him these last two seasons and WUKO ;~; There is literally no reason to kill Tenzin anymore; the best point was when he was fighting off Zaheer & co. and the plot was about the Airbenders, could have hit home for Korra and Jinora, and allowed Tenzin to really feel like he made the impact he was always chasing after.

Anyway, I don't really care about the Colossus or Kuvira's role in the plot? As a character she's great, but it feels like there are no real stakes to this? Republic City is on the line, yeah, but...I don't care about Republic City, lmao. Maybe I would care more about the fate of the city if she was actually destroying it, but all we've seen so far is her sink a couple of boats and a building.

Speaking of which, is it me or does she just really want to kill Korra, lol? As soon as Kuvira saw her on the bison she immediately tried to blast her out of the sky. It would be interesting if Kuvira was doing this so she could control the next Avatar (since they'll be born in the Earth Kingdom), but there's been 0 buildup to that.

All that said, I do think they're handling it well despite my apathy towards it & I am preferring this a lot more than the UnaVaatu mess (although that thing is much bigger than 25 stories, c'mon now).

Me & friends celebrated the last day of classes by going out to Taco Bell, a frozen yogurt place, and then ordering calzones while watching High School Musical (within the span of 3 hours). My stomach bouta turn up in the morning but idc, tonight was great.

tale posted a link where Bryan K. explains in depth why, but this episode being a clip show was more or less because Nick slashed the Book 4 budget and Bryke would've had to fire a number of the crew to make a ~normal~ episode (since even though Nick slashed the budget, they still wanted all 13 episodes of the season). This is probably the worst they've handled either Avatar series by far; ATLA Book 3's latter half all being released in a single week and Book 3 of Korra airing one week after it was finally promo'd by Nick are pretty up there too.

Mako's section was hilaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarious. It was pretty much "Mako you suck" and it was wonderful. Grandma Yin and Wu are the best things to ever happen to Mako.

Korra's section was kinda boring but the Korrasami was strong. Until tenzin showed up out of nowhere??? Not cool AirDad, give these kids some time to get the smooch on.

VARRICK THOUGH. VARRICK. oh my god. oh my god. That was so great. Vaatu getting called a kite. EVERYONE HATING UNALAQ. BOLIN'S FACE PHOTOSHOPPED ONTO KORRA AND THE DRAGON. That and the Ryu scene from Book 3 are definitely the humor highlights of this show.

Korra Alone: TOO REAL. My personal favorite episode of Korra ever.

The Coronation: kuvira is ridiculous and i love her. why is toph acting like an *******??? pls stop. lmao su YOU HAD ONE JOB.

The Calling: Meelo being written so sexist pissed me off, lol. The Ikki stuff was good; ATLA and Korra do random guards so well. lmao Toph basically gave out the thesis to the show with Powerpoint slides. Korra and Airbaby reunion :')))) Bending of the posion out was nice, TIME TO WRECK KUVIRA. It was weird how Toph shifted from ******* to strict yet caring, I think they could've transitioned better between that? The ATLA episode summaries though omg. "I threw rocks at the Avatar, he got all whiny, and Sokka fell in a hole" p e r f e c t

Enemy at the Gates: ZHU LI IS THIS THE RIGHT THING. Lavabending is so ****in OP goddamn. also **** BATAAR JR. THAT'S NOT HOW YOU TALK TO YA MOMMA OR YA DADDY. skrillex beifong what a gem. "KUVIRA IS CRAZY" u just now figurin this out.

Battle for Zaofu: Figured Korra would lose all things considered, but did not expect Miss Dark Avatar Korra to reappear. Korra must really see herself in Kuvira. Also, pretty rad all the major players in the battle were women~ Opal and Jinora must've hit the gym hard 'cause that tornado looked just as, if not, stronger than the one they made in the B3 finale against Zaheer. KUVIRA WITH HER HAIR DOWN MY PANTS FLYIN OFF AT MAXIMUM VELOCITY. also bataar jr needs to get his ass whooped with a switch the size of Kuvira's ego. glad to see bolin was standing up for himself at last.

Also, and I may be alone on this, but I don't like how they've suddenly made Kuvira literally Hitler. It's been a weird thing this show's been doing with antagonists, painting them as super morally gray and then launching them into very unambiguously evil (worst offender by far being Unalaq). I thought Kuvira was a lot more compelling when it appeared that she, while incredibly hasrh, was still effective and still not really doing anything horribly wrong. I wouldn't mind the prison camp if/when we actually see one (telling and not showing things show also been weird about), but the purging just seems out of place and I don't see how it factors into her plans as we know them currently? Like, she probably does want the Earth Empire to just be all Earthbenders/Nonbenders, but she has said nothing to that effect or had anything hinted towards that at all until it was just matter of factly said here like we were supposed to know. I dunno, I still like her character a lot, but this does dampen things a smidge for me in regards to her arc currently.

Just for future reference tho, if you guys are wondering the status on these two, it's best to ask me directly since I'm working on them. To give an official statement, as you've probably noticed, I haven't been very active the past couple of months, due to a lot of different things happening offline. I could talk about it here, but it's a long story and I'll probably make a post about this semester when it's over. Most importantly, I've not forgotten and have been trying to work on it when I've been able...which hasn't been very often, tbqh. v:

At this point looking at what is on the table concerning school and life (essentially the same thing at this point), I would say that there is a good likelihood that Question Time and the User Award results might not be up until I am on winter break (mid December). I know it's ultra ******, and I feel exactly the same (HOOOO BOY LET ME TELL YOU), but unfortunately that's the way things look from here. I may be able to make a decent enough dent to start posting things up, but I wouldn't take that as a solid promise of things happening then.
