I watched the Overwatch trailer because I was curious about Nate's sig and thought it looked so good, and then watched some gameplay vids and thought it looked so bad. I can't help but think it would be better as a film. I saw real potential for compelling characters in an interesting setting that would be wasted in a video game.

like, as it's own thing it' fine, but there's no reason it couldn't have just been the nova force. i'm watching a movie with a talking not-raccoon and an anthropomorphic alien tree in a universe where norse mythology is real and new york was invade by aliens with magical kill-everything artifacts floating around, so clearly my disbelief is willfully suspended. it could have just done it and it would have been fine. and what's so odd is that marvel's been good about adapting things straight off the page and i dont understand why nova of all things was treated so poorly. and as much as it makes sense to have them in a guardians movie, i would have only seeded them here, and then let sam alexander have his own movie and explore the entire corps there.
when I saw Guardians, I just ****ing knew that it would take such liberties as to have Groot say "we are Groot" or some bs like that. you didn't earn that, movie, you can't just do things. and I really just don't like Chris Pratt. and again wtf is with Zoe's Gamora. god i still can't get over how awful the hair looks. and would it have killed the movie to give her the black and white space-suit? come on. and ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THAT NOVA STUFF i watched Guardians for a second time earlier still one of my fav Marvel movies
