Ha, it's ok you don't need to feel obligated to do it. I am the Staff here, i'm the one doing it for the site and all. Still it's up to what you feel like doing, but I won't say no! : )
I'd welcome the help. If you wanna do some work whilst i'm busy till weekend, I can assign you a job.
Catalogue the first 3 or so pages of the section and tell me what threads you think should be reworded and/or merged into other threads.
Then PM what you got and i'll edit them ASAP. Makes my job quicker, easier and a good rhythm to the clean up can begin.
