Zodiac Force

Claire stood stone still, petrified by fear. Her eyes flickered across the room, trying to finds means of escape. As the beasts cleared a path for Advent, the doorway came into her line of sight. For a split second, she thought of running, but she knew she had no chance of outrunning the beasts or Advent.

 

Claire had half a mind to struggle away from Advent, but on more thought, she figured one enemy was better than several.

"Wait. Why do you leave with her? What use is she to you?"

 

I what? Claire thought, panicked.

"Then why not kill her now and take it?"

 

OOC: gtg my lunch is over. i'll be on later after school (i don't have rehersal for the play so i'll be on earlier than usual ^^)

BIC: "We follow your command."

Claire thought she heard submission in the voice. Is Angel's boyfriend their leader or something?

 

Angel let out a sigh of relief. "I was ready to come in there."

Claire squirmed against Advent's hold.

 

Angel smiled mischeviously and stepped closer to Advent. "Reward, huh?" She took Advent's hand and shook it. "I'll give you a cookie as a bonus when we get back to my house." She added teasingly before embracing Claire.

"Ow! Be careful, Angel." Claire turned her head away from Hannah's embrace.

Angel held Claire at arm's length. "What happened?" She asked, seeing the blood on Claire's forehead, still wet.

 

Angel nodded and put her arm protectively around Claire's shoulders.

"I'm not dying," Claire sighed. "Like he said: it's just a scratch."

"I remember every 'scratch' you've gotten," Angel muttered, already walking. "The last time you said it was just a scratch, we had to take you to the E.R. to get stitches because you cut yourself trying to cook."

"Yeah, and you haven't let me in the kitchen since," Claire said grumpily. "I'm not five anymore."

"But you're still my little sister," Angel reminded her. "And my-"

"Responsibility." Claire finished with Angel. "I know. You say it all the time."

"Because you're so reckless that I have to remind you." Angel cracked a smile.

 

OOC: That is so epically awesome!!

BIC: Angel nodded to Advent and picked up her pace.

"Angel," Claire started slowly. "What were those things? What did they want?"

"Nothing, Claire," Angel replied. "Nothing."

"But I have a right to know," Claire protested. "He said I have a power." She pointed at Advent.

Angel glared at Advent. "You told her that?"

 

"No," Angel snapped. "It came from my father's side and he's dead. Claire is my half-sister."

"But wouldn't it be cool if I did?" Claire smiled. "I could help."

"Claire," Angel sighed. "It's too dangerous. You've seen-"

"But if I had a power, none of this would have happened!" Claire protested. "I could have defended myself, fought back!"

"I won't let you put yourself in danger again!" Angel argued.

OOC: i like secrets!

 

"This is none of your business." Angel's voice was low and hard. "I'm grateful for what you've done for Claire and me, but please don't get involved in our family affairs any further."
