When did they say it was gonna be a trilogy

I guarantee they never had that in mind

You know how I can tell? Because there's NO SYNERGY BETWEEN THE FILMS

Not this one. Don't intend to, either

It's not so much the property that bothers me

    More Michael Bay in general

Transformers died when Michael Bay was allowed to direct it.

Then don't complain. It's actually a legitimately good movie.

...No. Just... no. I'm not even... What? No!

You confuse me. You should be outraged that such terrible things are being done to one of your favorite series.

Do me a favor. Do you have any of them on DVD? If not, get one, and hit pause during an action sequence. Can you actually tell what's going on onscreen? Is there any focal point, or is it just lots of fire and flying shrapnel? I'd put money on the latter.

Baww I have a different opinion, are we really doing this again? You haven't seen the third movie yet are complaining about it. I don't like TF Animated but I don't tell people to be outraged about it instead of liking it.
Dark of the Moon improved a lot of things that were lacking in the previous ones, and yeah, it's not perfect, but it's not Revenge of the Fallen.

And actually, yes, I can tell what's going on onscreen.

Only people born in the 70's get to be elitist about the Transformers. B|

It's not elitism. It's a valid point of concern.

I like how they just changed Megan's name with the blonde model chick's name and through that completely destroyed what little good there was about Sam's character :3

Not that anybody actually cares about the human characters.

...I... I can't believe you're defending this. The plot is flat and uninteresting, not to mention clogged with enough cliches to fill an entire solar system, over half the Transformers are solid silver which makes it difficult to figure out which ones are which unless they flat-out tell you their names, all the humans are boring and detract from the films, the filmography is amateurish and unfocused, pacing is off... They are objectively bad films. Were I to speak purely from opinion, I might actually be a bit nicer to them! Their only merit is preying on the baser instinctive stimuli that cause people to enjoy these things and shell out money for them, instead of engaging their minds on any level above "OH MAN SO MUCH FIRE." I can't bring myself to believe the director has improved so drastically as to make the third worth watching. That's really asking a lot from me.

Cliches? *Looks back at the original series* >>

Anyways, I agree that Michael Bay hasn't done the series justice. If it were up to me, it'd be all about giant robots kicking ass and less squishy humans. I'm saddened that you haven't complained about the fact that Bumblebee basically took over Hot Rod's position. B|

If you really can't bring yourself to respect someone's opinion that has seen all three movies, hated the second one, and likes the third, then I'm not continuing this. Cool to see you haven't changed at all, bro.

Yeah, honestly it's not even that good for the only thing I'd expect it to really excel at: the mindless robot violence. If it was just trying to do that and did it well enough, I could be forgiving.

And cliches can be charming, if given sufficient substance.

Wow, are you like, taking the moral high ground or something? What's this "you haven't changed at all" mess? Are you taking this personally or what?

Hey dude, that's really cool and all but she likes the ****ing movie. You're just making yourself look like a butthurt kid who's mad because it doesn't look like the Transformers cartoon he watched back in 2001.
