~: Camping Trip :~

Tyler shook his head

"They also say it is statistically impossible to die in a plane, but that doesn't stop reality."

 

Ken started to laugh happily as he patted the mans shoulder. "see your talking about machanical problems not mythical life forms" he said to tyler. "also if we did get attacked ill be there to help now i havnt known you for long but i can tell you would do the same for me" Ken said giving him an smile. They continued walking getting deeper into the forest.

 

Not knowing what else to say, Tyler followed the weird kid into the forest. His thoughts weren't of mechanics, it was probability. Anything could happen in this world. Sooner or later, everything probably will, even the bad stuff.

 

Aly fell to her knees, gasping. She had run as far as she could, away from the whispering, along the river, but now she was lost. Her breath slowing, she listened. Not hearing any whispers, she took another breath, and another, trying to slow her heartbeat. "Why is this happening now?" she whispered, closing her eyes.

 

Ken noticed the kid was silent maybe he said the wrong thing. He oppend his mouth to say something but he decided to stay silent as they continued walking. An smile spreaded across ken's face as he saw an open field with lightning bugs shinning brightly all over it. Ken ran over there and stood in the field looking at the lightning bugs "see how could anything dangerous be around if there beuty like this" he said to tyler happily.

 

Tyler nodded.

"Yeah... yeah that is where they are the most. They hide in plain sight."

 

"I'd bet that the lake is in or beyond the forest." He looked out the window. "We could try to find it, i'm sure we'll be fine. Even if there are monsters..." He grinned again. "And we can scare anyone else in there. I just hope you know how to hide or fight if we do come across something."

 

Rhone walked towards the door, anxious to see the lake. "Let's go, then." Opening the door, he wondered how he would fare in an actual fight. "I don't know how well I can fight, but trust me," he couldn't help but smile before continuing, "I sure can hide." Blocking his eyes from the sun with his arm, he thought to himself, Hopefully it won't rain.

 

Aria looked up into his eyes as she thought about it. She bit down on her bottom lip and closed her eyes after, trying to remember certain things about the camp from last year. Then she shuddered and opened them again, her mind wandering off to those creatures.

"Well," Aria started. "Maybe...By the lake." She finally said, smiling a bit and nodding in confirmation. "Would you like to?" She wondered aloud.

 

Ken looked at the lightning bugs and then tilted his head up looking at the stars. "life is too short to be scared use the time to be happy not be afraid" he said to Tyler as an lightning bug landed on his forehead an started to glow happily. Ken continued looking at the stars then he looked at Tyler giving him an smile "so want to head further or head to the cabins so we can see who we are sharing an cabin with" he asked the man.

 

Jasped followed Rhone out of the cabin. "Good, cause i'm no good at hiding, but I can fight." He chuckled and began walking towards the forest, scanning the camp as well. "Still no one in charge eh?" He quietly asked himself.

 

Aly slowly got to her feet, then wandered down the stream, slipping into the water, her shirt sticking to her body. She just let the current carry her, closing her eyes. No one would bother her here. It occured to her she might look like a body, but the thought only brought a smile to her face. She slowly slipped into sleep, letting the current carry her where it would.

 

"HOOOOYAAAAHAAA!!!! BOOOMMMMSHAKALAKAKALAKAKAKA!!" was the noise that was yelled, as in the dark, Leo chanted. He was approaching the forest again to continue his......awkward attempts to see something happen. He carried a short stick with him, that looked as if it had 20 short lines of shredded pieces of paper clipped together, waving it around. In his own way, he believed this to be some sort of a ritual that would bring out spirits. Thank God though, he didn't have any fire. Given his strangeness, such things would not be wise to give him, or so most would think.

 

Aria nodded with a smile. "I remember that. You also helped me swim." She mused, tilting her head upward a bit in thought and smiling more as she did so. She stepped out of the door, folding her arms across her chest lightly before yawning and wrinkling her nose. It still amazed her that he was able to do those things.

She waiting for Alaric to reach her before taking his hand lightly and beginning to walk in the general direction of the lake. She took a deep breath, taking in the fresh scents and glancing around the familiar camp site. She wondered briefly where everyone else was before she glanced back up at Alaric, squeezing his hand a bit.

"So how are you? How's your brother?" She asked thoughtfully, walking beside him.

 

"Cabin, definitly cabin." Tyler replied. This was too much. He was already creeped out as it was. Everywhere he looked he saw imaginary beasts and monsters, just waiting to tear at his flesh. He needed something safe and far away from here as he could get.

 

Waking, Aly cursed loudly. She was soaking wet, getting colder, and still had no idea where she was. The current still carried her, but she shouldnt' have fallen asleep. Still cursing, though softly this time, she reached for the bank, to find it was now a cliff like embankment. The curses became louder as she realized she couldn't get back out without some serious hand holds.

 

Mizore sipped the last of one of her cream soda cans and glanced around to see if she saw any trash cans. It's getting late. I minds well find the cabin I left my stuff by and get my things set up...Who am I even sharing a cabin with?!

 

Rik wandered to the river that run near the edge of camp. He sat at the side crosslegged and looked at his distorted image in the water. The water is as I remember, guess that's one of the things that stayed the same, he said in a sort of inner monologue. Something still felt off to him but so far everyone seemed calm and everything was peaceful. This wasn't what was expected.
