A drawback could be that they can become fixated on things they like, to the point where it can be obsession. It'd include people too. There's a lot of comedy value to be had with that.

I don't see why if one idea didn't work that giving the Sphere to another of my characters would suddenly mean that I can think of a better idea.
Anyway, another idea was to work the background legend into a sort of power. Though I'm indecisive on it.

How about the ability to create complex illusions with imagination alone for the power.

Perhaps something to do with being able to manifest memories into the present somehow then? Like, remember in the end of the last book, when Harry has the spirits of those who died with him. Something like that. Maybe a bit more useful somehow.

You know DT, I just thought of something that could have been used in ME3's ending. What if when talking to the Catalyst he changed his appearance depending on your Paragon/Renegade rating.

That would have been good. Or maybe appeared as somebody that died in ME2 if there was anyone.

That's how the idea work, the people it's appearance and voice are changed to that of those who died over the course of the series. For example, if you're renegade it could turn into TIM, Saren, Maleon (if you killed him), etc.; while paragon you could get dead squadmates, Anderson, members of the Council if you let them die in ME1, etc.

okay what if it started to rain all over Disgaea, but instead of the precipitation being rain, it was a whole lot of Black/Dark HDD Disks that fell all over planet. It then causes more Goddesses/Gods to be born out of pure evil and causes a sort of power struggle [of course it's a not finished idea, but the gist is that it rains HDD disks]

That sounds more like a subplot for later than anything. I'll consider it, but there's other things going on right now.
