At least I know now, that I'm not the only one sick of all this ****ing bull-****...

It starts with people like you, and me. Get enough independent thinking people, and we might just be able to stop this ****ed up place from becoming worse...

It is ironic that considering our race thinks of itself as all knowing and all powerful, it is ****ing ******ed on so many levels xD

I wonder what it would take for the world to really change, or even if it can change now.

Of course clothing has become a trend, if you don't wear the right clothes from the right store you are a loser.

Even things like the books you read and the movies you watch, the games you play. Everything is about fitting in and looking the part. I thought once I left High School that that **** would stop, but it doesn't. It is the same in Uni, some of my friends think I am odd because I am a gamer, gamers aren't looked on all that well here o_O same regarding anime, I <3 my anime but it isn't very popular here so a lot of people are biased against it.

In a way it is like a plague as you put it, humanity will destroy itself in an endless quest to fit in not realising that by conforming they are ruining one of the few things that makes us who we are, our own mind and freedom.

That is how it would be in an ideal world. Sadly we don't live in one of those. I would rather be hated for being who I am, than be loved for being something I am not.

I feel bad for the people who are too scared to think for themselves, what will they do when there is no-one to guide their opinion anymore?

Then that's what I am. That's what I'll always be. I will never conform. To conform, would be to be somebody who isn't you; someone whose feelings are not his own, but shared among a general population. These people today, who are afraid of being different are ****ing pathetic in my eyes. As long as I can function for myself, I will think for myself.

I think it is because the way the media it is, it is kind of drummed into a lot of people what they must like. It is hard to have your own mind in the society that we live in now. If you don't conform you are an outsider xD

I'm glad someone else shares the same views... God, people like us are hard to come by nowadays.

Those are the true musicians, the ones who spent their early career playing in ****** little bars and clubs and basements not caring about how low key it was because they were getting to perform and get their music out there.

Money makes the world go around, but it sucks because a lot is being lost to over-hyped talentless morons. It is the same in anything really now, like sport, sport is now more about the advertising and spectator appeal than the actual sport. I love my F1 but the new tracks they have added in recent years ****ing suck because they don't enhance the cars ability, they slow it down :/ and more money goes into making the spectator stands all nice.

I actually fully agree, like look at the generation growing up now, they think that if they have the looks that they don't need anything else. If people put as much effort into achieving stuff as they did with their hair and eyeliner then maybe more people would be able to achieve more.

Of course there are some very attractive people in the music industy who are very talented too, but they focus on their music (which is an attractive personality trait anyway, when someone loves their music with a passion its sexy), unlike the people in pop who pout and lip synch their way through a performance yet somehow manage to achieve greater acceptance.

I can relate x_x it isn't about music anymore :/ it is about how hot the singer/group looks. Sex sells I guess at the end of the day, but I would rather listen to good music from someone with talent than listen to some peice of crap that only hit the charts because it has boobs or nice abs.

That is a good one too, but I think I like Pitiful more than Issues. I don't know why, there is just something about it that I find highly addictive.
