Well, Starkiller is obviously more powerful than Vader, right? In a drawn-out fight, Starkiller would completely trash him. And normally that would be fine, except... well, Starkiller is too powerful. Allowing him to strike down Vader is like throwing a rogue element into the plan. It could go in favour of Barthandelus's goals, but it's far more likely to go badly for it.
So, just when Vader's about to lose... Barthandelus makes him a l'Cie.

Also, I have an idea of something that could really make CC seem dangerous. I need to talk to Droid about it too, but did you want to hear it?
