Brotherhood is a completely different reality than the 2003 anime. It's the actual story.
No because this is before the promised day, but in a different reality than Brotherhood.
And, I wont tell you how he regains his eyesight.

Ok. and as far as Brotherhood since I started at the final story arc since the library doesn't have those volumes.
Greed and Wrath Continue their fight as the Promised Day begins. Edward and Alphonse Elric, alon with their teacher Izumi curts and their Fathe Van Hoenheim have been taken by Father as Human Sacrifices. Mustang was forced to do human Transmutation by Pride and is a human sacrifice, paying the toll with his eyesight. Now Blinded, Mustang is pretty much Useless. As Father swallowed "God", Greed managed to stop him. Pride fought Edward while everyone else took care of Father, who powered up to his last form. Ed destroyed Pride's vessel, and left him on his coat sayin, "I'll have to apologize to Mrs. Bradley."

On Saturday it'll be episode 62 I believe and We'll see what happens next.
