What of German/Spanish? Did you give it up? I assume, given that you listed only English on my thread. I don't like Spanish. Perhaps I have grown sick of it given that we live in FL, perhaps, but I just... don't like it. Maybe I am grudging because I can't trill my r, and everyone else in this damned state can.

It's fine. I have an interest in the Scandinavian countries, but all I know of Finland individually, is that it is mother of the saunas. And the language sounds nice, fluid. Also, Finns are generally nice people, the few I have met.

I've a question for you: what do you think of the Czech Republic, Russia, Finland? New Zealand? All possible countries I am considering studying abroad in, and you are probably wondering why I would ask a mere drinking buddy this. I do not even know myself tbh, but your opinion would be valued. This is perhaps a question better suited for What, given his interests. I've narrowed it to three so far: Czechoslovakia, Russia, and Finland. But I can narrow it down no further. Very difficult decision. If we are going by language, by how difficult a language to learn, the order would probably fall something along the lines of (least to greatest difficulty)... Czech > Russian > Finnish

And if we are going by how beneficial a language, might be something like...
Finnish > Czech > Russian

But they would all be rather difficult, so really, that is not saying much. New Zealand pertains to some interest for me, but the native tongue being English has me thinking otherwise; too easy almost, the language assimilation is a large factor in charm. Too western. I think, I should not factor in language when choosing, for if I do that I will scare myself silly. Finnish is an intimidating tongue, Russian is no less.

I don't know how that would go. I was surprised to hear Teddy considering meeting me, very nice of him.
