A few years ago, Mario saved the Mushroom World from the evil, weapons-based Smithy Gang. During this adventure, Mario was aided by Princess Toadstool, his new friend Prince Mallow, his foe Bowser, and the enigmatic Star warrior ♥♪!? (known as Geno). During their descent into Mushroom World, the Smithy Gang shattered Star Road into seven Star Pieces. With Star Road broken, the wishes of Mushroom World were unable to be granted. Geno was tasked by "a higher authority" to help Mario restore Star Road and return the world to normal.
Before Mario's gang defeated the Smithy Gang, they faced an inter-dimensional being known as Culex who was sent from his home dimension of Vanda by the Dark Mage to conquer the Mushroom World. Fortunately, Culex discovered that Mushroom World was uninhabitable to his kind and departed, but not after challenging Mario, the world's "strongest knight," to a fight.

Unbeknownst to Mario and his friends, upon his final moments before Star Road was fixed, Smithy made a wish. His wish was inexplicably granted, allowing him to return. Biding his time without his gang, Smithy found himself in the fantasy dimension of Vanda, Culex's home, and defeated the Dark Mage, Culex's superior. Merging with the defeated Mage, Smithy has now returned, years later, to exact his revenge on Mario. Using his now seemingly-unlimited power, Smithy caused several different dimensions to crash together into the Mushroom World, bringing characters and monsters from each into his new kingdom. Geno has returned and has summoned heroes from the different universes in order to combat Smithy and the villains from other worlds, as well as to return the dimensions to normal. However, Geno immediately noticed that Mario...is missing! Now with the help of the other heroes, Geno plans on recovering the magical "Something-or-Others" that were scattered among the land. The Something-or-Others are filled with magical, extra-dimensional energy and are the key to undoing Smithy's evil magic.

The Mushroom World has changed drastically since the revived and empowered Smithy returned, crashing several dimensions into the Mushroom World. The steel wizard returned not just with new powers, but with a new appearance, twisted by the dark magic that now powered him. While Dark Mage Smithy may not have been familiar with those other worlds originally, he wasted no time laying claim to them as well. He vowed to make this new amalgam of worlds his own kingdom and now, with the Dark Mage's powers, it was more than possible...it was under way. He cast out his old gang, replacing them with magically-powered machines, appearing to be a combination of crystal and steel. However, old habits died hard and each of his new mindless soldiers still resembled weapons. His army was able to destroy most opposition easily. In addition to his new immense power and vast army, Smithy was now aided by the villains of the other worlds -his new gang. Smithy was sure that not all of his new comrades followed him out of loyalty, but he couldn't care less as long as they followed. Besides, with his new power, he could easily destroy any opponent.
Now, heroes from different dimensions find themselves trapped in this new world, without warning or explanation. Lost and without direction, they have started to look for answers before a mysterious figure in a blue hood reaches out to them in different ways, beckoning them to join him.

Calem gasped, out of breath, as he skated into the forest. Next to him, his pal Sylveon ran gracefully, not quite at full speed. His fists were clenched tight and his knuckles white, but Calem pushed on. He continued to run through the forest, noting the larger-than-normal mushrooms around, until he ran into a clearing. Making sure nobody (or nothing) was around, Calem slid into a stop and crouched, hands on his knees. Sylveon rubbed its face against his legs, purring with half of a whimper.
"What the heck was that, Sylveon?" Calem asked between the breaths he struggled to catch. Receiving only a whimsical cry in return, Calem couldn't help but smile. "At least they didn't catch us, right? They're no match for the Kalos Pokemon Champion and his trusty Sylveon!" He said enthusiastically as he fell onto his rear against a tree. 'Though it'd be nice if I knew why my other Pokemon seemed to have disappear,' he added to himself as he opened his bag. There were several items inside, mostly medicinal, but Calem was searching for Pokeballs -either vacant or occupied- and failed to find a single one. Noticing his Mega Ring, Calem grabbed it. He had deposited into his bag after realizing the only three Pokemon that he had on his person -Chesnaught, his starter; Sylveon, one of his evolved captures; and Yveltal, the Legendary Pokemon that Team Flare attempted to use as a weapon- were incapable of Mega-Evolving. However, something told him that the whatever force had invaded Kalos should not be allowed to harness the technology of the Mega Ring. Thus, Calem quickly snapped it onto his wrist. He raised the wrist to his eyes as Sylveon started to walk around, checking the perimeter. As he stared into the empty stone slot, Calem recounted the events that led him to his current predicament.
He was searching Kalos for Articuno, a Legendary Pokemon that Calem was attempting to catch, but kept fleeing. After Articuno fled one of their several battles, Kalos was hit by what Calem had assumed was an earthquake. Strangely, bright light erupted from the cracks in the ground, blinding Calem. When the Pokemon Trainer was able to see again, Kalos was changed; he had assumed that he was in some strange new world, but he had found himself in what was obviously an abandoned Vaniville Town, right in his bedroom. He received a Holo Call from his mother, who said she had sought refuge in Professor Sycamore's lab in Lumiose City. Calem attempted to travel to Lumiose, but the path outside of Vaniville was...different. Sharp-fanged plants had replaced the flowers of the region and the path to Aquacorde Town now led straight into a forest, but not one Calem recognized. Before he could explore the forest, he received a Holo Call from a strange, blue-hooded figure who demanded his help to save not just the world, but the very fabric of existence. The figure asked Calem to meet him at the center of the forest. Though Calem was skeptical of the figure's claims, he had no time to think about them as he was soon attacked by a walking spear with some sort of crystalline texture. Wondering if it was some form of a Honedge, Calem checked his Pokedex, but the machine didn't recognize the creature. Without warning, the spear-creature attacked him and Calem responded with Sylveon. His Pokemon's Fairy Wind shattered the creature into tiny pieces, but it had started to reform instantly. Not wasting time, Calem donned his Roller Skates and took off, now finding himself in this clearing.
Calem sighed; too many questions ran through his head. What was that earthquake and that following light? What happened to Kalos? Was his mother alright? What was that creature? Where were his other Pokemon? And why, despite his mother and that hooded figure calling him, could Calem's Holo-Caster not reach anyone else? Any time that Calem tried to call Professor Sycamore or Serena or his mother again, he only received static. The Trainer dropped his arms onto his knees and looked around for Sylveon, but his Pokemon had disappeared. "Oh no..."

Ritz had insisted she could check it out on her own.

She and Shara were in Nubswood Forest to fight against Clan Dip, who just didn't know when to stop challenging them, and Ritz was only getting close enough to spy on their positions and observe the units they had. But then the earthquake had struck, she'd been blinded, and the forest had changed. Her first thought was that she'd stumbled upon the resting place of another Totema, but from what she'd learned from Marche, they were all in stone caverns or temples. Ritz was still in a forest, though, even if it was different from Nubswood.

"...Shara?" she called, even as something inside her told her that it wasn't likely that her Viera friend had been taken into the same realm as her. Wary of her new surroundings, Ritz grabbed her rapier's hilt, ready to draw it out if danger presented itself. She slowly wandered through the forest, looking in all directions around her. At one point, she spotted a strange plant with sharp fangs, but it didn't seem to notice her, or she was too far away from it to attack.

Her foot crunched on something that sounded like glass. She glanced down and the crystalline shards under her foot swirled around each other before floating off somewhere ahead of her. Curious, Ritz followed the crystal shards...but quickly regretted it. The shards rejoined with a larger vortex of similar shards that eventually formed into a walking spear. Ritz arched an eyebrow at the thing; she might have seen some strange things in Ivalice, but walking crystal weapons were new.

Suddenly it lunged at her, and she barely had time to draw her rapier and parry its strike. A little bit of crystal chipped off at the strike, but it easily reintegrated itself into the spear.

"Great," Ritz huffed, moving into a more proper swordfighting stance.

Saving Terra and using the crystals to end Chaos once and for all was the least of his problems. Even when he almost died, he managed to pull through for the planet he loved and the light of harmony he longed to protect. Now The Warrior of Light was in a different type of situation, a strange situation. Last he remembered, he was returning home, returning to the kingdom of Cornelia. He had recently woken up from what seemed like a long fall, a fall that could have killed him normally, but then again, a guy like him was not normal. The knight shrouded in blue made his way through the strangest forest he had ever been in. Giant mushrooms, in his travels, he had never seen such a sight. No, this was something different. His eyes immediately went to the carnivorous plant but the plant wasn't what caught his attention, it was the crystalline shards coming towards him. It passed by him, then reformed into something he couldn't discern. It was humanoid, having the features like a Mannequin than anything else. It started to approach him, shakingly and awkwardly and the Warrior could immediately tell that it was a threat. He reached to his side and drew the longswordfrom the side sheath that hung around his waist. With his sword in his right hand and the shield in his left, he pointed the sword towards the foul creature that dared to stand against him, only utterring three words as a prayer to both his sword and to Cosmos. "For the Light." He charged into battle.

It had been several days since Serena successfully defeated Diantha and became the Kalos Pokemon Champion. After a long and tiring journey, Serena decided it was time to go back home to Vaniville Town. Serena was more than excited to finally see her mother and Rhyhorn again. Ever since the events of Geosenge Town, Serena wanted to hug her mother very tight and tell her how much she loved her. Walking through Route 7 along with her starter Pokemon, Fennekin, the two passed by the Battle Chateau. Serena and Fennekin both reminisced the days they spent here together, training hard every time to get stronger to be able to face any challenges that the two would encounter. 'Good times,' Serena thought to herself. Suddenly, Serena and Fennekin felt an earthquake around them. And before either of them could react, Serena and Fennekin started to feel drowzy. A few seconds later, both were lying on the ground in a deep sleep...

Slowly opening their eyes, Serena and Fennekin looked at the scenery around them, shocked at the fact that not only it wasn't Route 7, but that it didn't seem like a place found on Earth. "Fennekin, I get the feeling we're not in Kalos anymore," Serena commented. The two were in what seemed to be a forest full of huge mushrooms. While still confused as to what was happening, Serena heard a ringing from her Holo Caster. Grabbing it from her bag, Serena noticed the Holo Call was from a mysterious blue-hooded figure. He demanded help in not only saving the world, but the very fabric of existence, and asked Serena to meet him at the center of the forest. Confused even more, Serena decided to ignore the figure. Last time she met someone claiming to try to save the world and humanity, the person insisted on doing so by committing some kind of massive holocaust of humans and Pokemon. "Not this time," Serena said as she put the Holo Caster back into her bag, but while doing so, noticed something was missing. And something was indeed missing. Serena noticed she only had two Pokeballs in her bag, and that three were missing. Shocked by this, Serena began to hyperventilate. Worried about her trainer, Fennekin approached Serena and tapped on her foot, wondering why Serena was acting the way she was. Calming down a bit, Serena looked down at Fennekin, and told her, "I don't know how Fenny, but three Pokeballs are missing! The only Pokemon with me now are you, Hawlucha and Xerneas. Looks like I won't be able to Mega-Evolve for now... or ever..." Serena and Fennekin then noticed crystalline shards appear in front of them, swirling and swirling, until they joined together, and formed into a walking spear that was ready to attack them.

"You have got to be kidding me," Serena complained, "Fennekin, hit it with your Flamethrower!" Jumping in front of the spear, Fennekin unleashed her Flamethrower attack towards the walking spear, which shattered into many different crystalline shards, only for the shards to reassemble once again. Backing off slowly, Serena and Fennekin were now really worried. "This is bad..." Serena said.

"Yo. I found one. ... Some tiny girl. Looks human,'cept for that hair color. ... Hm? Well, she has some sword. You sure she's one? Looks really young. ... Whatever you say, dude. I'll get her. Leave it to me!" The Battletoad known as Zitz shut off the communication device in his gauntlet and rested his hands on the branch below him between his feet. He was crouched, knees above his head, near the point of a tree. If it wasn't obvious by his 6'8 bipedal toad appearance, his posture definitely revealed his nature. Like his roommates, coworkers, and best friends -Rash and Pimple- Zitz loved being a 'Toad. Yeah, there were times that he missed being a human (having to crouch to fit through doors was a hassle), but what was there to hate about being a Battletoad? In fact, that was exactly what they were talking about just a couple of days ago. Professor T. Bird and Princess Angelica revealed that they found a way to revert the 'Toads back to humans, if they so wish, but Zitz didn't want to go back to being simply Morgan Zeitler. Being an 'intergalactic, kick-assing, Princess saving 'Toad' was just too much fun! Luckily, his friends agreed. Just moments later, however, Zitz' communication hardware on his gauntlet went haywire. In the distraction, the 'Toads, Professor, and Princess didn't realize that the Vulture, their ship, was flying straight into what appeared to be a small black hole, one of many opening up around them. Zitz blacked out and woke up to find himself next to a hooded figure who revealed to him the nature of portals and what happened to, well, reality. Unable to find his friends, Zitz agreed to help the figure track down other warriors to aid them in restoring the universe back to normal. And now, here he was, high above some human girl who didn't appear old enough to drive a car, but was staring down one of Smithy's weapon-creatures. Zitz prepared to jump down and rescue her...but then decided to see if the girl really was a warrior that they could use. If she could take down the spear, awesome! If not, he would save her and be on his hoppity-merry way. "Come on. Show me what ya got!" He cheered to himself, ready to pounce.

"Sylveon!" Calem whispered loudly as he searched through the forest for his Pokepal. "Sylveon! Where did you go?" He moved slowly, hoping to not run into any other strange Pokemon...that spear thing was a Pokemon, right? Pushing the question to the back of his head, he reached for a Pokeball, gripping it tightly just in case he had to call out another one of his Party. Within a matter of minutes, he noticed a furry and pink curved tail sticking out from under a bush. "There you are!" He exclaimed, dropping to his knees and diving into the bush. Sylveon noticed him and purred quietly before sticking its nose in the other direction. "What? What do you see?" Calem whispered as he pushed through the bush's leaves to see what was on the other side. "Hey, that's..." There she was! Sylveon found Serena, but... she was wearing a hat. Calem couldn't recall ever seeing her in a hat; that was his thing. Also...was that a Fennekin? Serena's Fennekin had evolved to a Delphox long ago, just like Shauna's Froakie had become a Greninja and his Chespin a Chesnaught. Maybe this was a newly hatched Fennekin? After all, Shauna had traded her starter's egg to Calem after he defeated the Pokemon League. It wasn't too far of a stretch that Serena's starter also laid an egg. Still...something was off about her. Calem got the idea that Sylveon suspected the same thing. Silently observing, Calem stuck his head out just a bit to see more. 'Oh no!' Serena was facing off against a reforming spear-creature! Could it be the same one that he fought earlier? Forget observing. Time to battle! "Let's go, Sylveon!" He ordered, jumping out from the bush. "Serena!" He called out his rival as Sylveon pranced out from behind him.

As the spear-warrior was struck down by the Warrior of Light's blade, a voice called out from the darkness of the trees. "Well, well, aren't you just the image of valiant?" Suddenly, a door of swirling shadows appeared in front of a tree and a hooded man walked out, clapping his hands slowly. As the door disappeared, the man took off his hood, revealing grey-streaked black hair tied into a long pony tail, pointed ears, an eyepatch over his right eye, a very noticeable scar, and a strangely golden eye. "You remind me of me, you know?" He said, pointing to the armored man and then to himself. "You like you..." he looked around the forest, his eye dropping to one of the mushrooms, "just don't quite fit in." He glanced back at the Warrior, smiling. "Sucks for you, though. Higher-ups don't really want you here. People like you, they tend to get in the way of bigger things." He pointed to the shards of the spear-warrior that the Warrior had defeated. They were reforming quickly. "See? Time for you to go away."

His blade struck and shattered the crystal being. It was a one-strike and suspiciously easy. He held his blade up straight and then flourished it to his side. He then heard a mysterious voice and his blue eyes looked up, glancing around. Then his gaze drew to a dark portal materializing infront of him. He gripped his sword, wordlessly listening to the man's words. He took in the man's appearance, tied back black and grey hair, black coat. His gaze drew to the scar running down the man's face, the eyepatch, and the golden eye. He narrowed his eyes and gripped the hilt of his sword, was that a threat he just heard? "Whatever your type is up to, it can't be for good."He hissed calmly. He then turned his head to see the crystal mannequin slowly reform. He turned to it and frowned, persistent enemy..he didn't have time to fight. He needed to find the source of this anomaly and stop it. He pointed his sword at the walking spear-man."I'm defeating this fiend, and then I will come after you."He side-said to Xigbar. He gripped his shield and rushed the crystal man, swinging his shield and knocked the crystal into the air.

Ritz waited for the spear to strike again, holding very still. She thought she heard something behind or above her and her eyes flickered in the general direction, and that's when the spear chose to lunge. She quickly leapt to the side, then jabbed her rapier at the spear—not easy; spears are too thin, and rapiers are for stabbing. Maybe she should've switched to a Red Mage...

She did manage to catch it, though. The spear stumbled as part of it splintered off, and Ritz took advantage of the lapse to rush in closer and attack the spear furiously. Crystal burst out in all directions as she struck, and soon the spear was in tiny pieces. She'd seen the spear reform once already, so she stamped as many shards into powder as she could, then tried kicking and scattering the dust, hoping it would keep the spear from reforming, or at least slow it down. She wasn't going to stick around to see what happened, though. She sheathed her rapier without letting go of the hilt and took off in the direction she'd heard the sound come from, heading into the cover of the trees.

    --

    ...

    ...

    "...Nngh..."

Miles Edgeworth sat up slowly, rubbing his eyes with one hand and propping himself up with the other—

    (...Wait...is that grass?)

He immediately opened his eyes and looked around. "This...this isn't my High Prosecutors' officeeee!!"

    !

Edgeworth quickly answered the phone (the realization that he shouldn't be able to do so in the middle of a forest only niggling at the back of his mind). "Who is this? Where have you taken me?" he demanded, standing up. The person on the other end (insisting that Edgeworth knew he was wearing a blue cloak, for some reason) spoke quickly, jabbering some malarkey about saving the world, nay, the fabric of reality itself. "Join me in the center of the forest," the mystery man finally requested before promptly hanging up.

"...I have a very bad feeling about all this..." Edgeworth sighed. "But it seems like the only way I'll get any answers is by meeting this strange fellow.

"...But, which way is the center of the forest...?"

    "Where...on Bionis am I?"

It was such an odd place he was in an area that was so bizarre and held many mysteries to the young blond haired boy.

Reaching such a place was a big blur, but at this point all he really thought about was how his friends were doing with his absence and could only hope that it did not cause them too much trouble. "I hope Reyn and the others are okay...hmm, but I'd best start moving in order to find a way out of here, I cant keep them waiting any longer" Shulk muttered as he begun to walk onwards.

His mission was an important one, but even so he had no idea where he was going and as he walked on it just seemed like he was going nowhere. Eyes closed, he slumped and let out an exasperated sigh before opening one eye and stared over at one of the giant mushrooms that were all over the forest. Unable to help but fall prey to his curiosity, Shulk ran over to one of the giant mushrooms and kneel down next to it as he began to examine it. "Fascinating, I've never seen such mushroom on Bionis before, I wonder what caused them to grow so big? was it the soil? or perhaps some form of ether in the forest" Shulk said before pausing as he closed his eyes and let out a small chuckle "heh..now'd be the time that Reyn would say something like stop being a nerd or something..." Shulk said rising up to his feet once more at the thought of his friends. When it came down to the land he always couldn't help but feel fascinated with it, after all it was his home and the Bionis held many secrets.

Opening his eyes, Shulk prepared to leave once again, but his eyes widened and immediately his eyes began to glow blue. In his vision he saw it, he saw was seemed to be a spear being flung straight towards him and pierced his chest. His eyes stopped glowing and his eyes remained widened in shock "A vision?!" Shulk said before immediately jumping backwards as spear had flown through the air and hit the spot that he had previously stood upon. "An enemy?!" Shulk said grasping the red blade resting upon his back and narrowed his eyes as he searched for his opponent.

Finding nobody, his eyes immediately returned back to the spear that was lodged into the ground the moment it begun to move. "What the?" Shulk said the moment the spear got it head out of the ground and stood on its feet. "A mechon?! no..its different" Shulk said pulling out the blade on his back "Whatever it is, its no match for the Monado!" Shulk said as the blade of his sword opened up, letting a lazer blade burst forth. Rushing forward Shulk jumped forward raising the blade upwards slashing downwards, slicing the spear in half. With opponent down, Shulk stood and sighed "that was easy...but what exactly is it?" Shulk said ready to place the Monado away, but immediately prepped himself once more the moment the crystalized spear moved and began to repair itself. "Self reparation!?" Shulk said preparing his sword. "Very well, come then, you are no match for the Monado's power!" Shulk declared rushing forward to defeat the spear once more.

Hearing a familiar and friendly voice, Serena and Fennekin turn around and find Calem with a Sylveon. "Calem!" Serena happily called out to her rival, running towards him while followed by her Fennekin. Serena noticed quite a few things about Calem that didn't seem right, like him wearing a hat and having a Sylveon, but none of that really mattered to her at the moment, because Calem's very presence eased Serena's troubled mind for the time being. "Nice hat," Serena said once she and Fennekin reached Calem and Sylveon, "Listen, there's no time to explain, but we gotta get away right now before that thing attacks us!" The walking spear was approaching them, with Fennekin constantly using her Flamethrower attack on it, only for the spear to reassemble itself over and over again. Once it was close to them though, the spear was attacked from behind from a lightning attack of some sort. This time, the spear didn't reassemble itself after breaking off into many crystalline shards. "What the..." Serena said, surprised at what had just transpired. Trying to spot where the attack came from, Serena and Fennekin notice a hooded figure wearing a black cloak approach them...

"Wh-who are you?" Serena asked the hooded figure, reaching for Xerneas's Pokeball in her bag in case things were about to get ugly. Once he was a few feet from them, the hooded figure stopped walking and replied, "Just think of me... as a friend." "A friend?" a confused Serena questioned. "Indeed," the figure answered, "Saving you from that monster wasn't the only reason I came here. I have come to warn the two of you." Serena walked towards the figure until she could see part of his face. She wasn't entirely sure if he could be trusted, but seeing as how he saved them from the walking spear, Serena was hoping he could be trustworthy enough to provide some answers. But one thing bothering Serena was the fact that he covered his face as though he didn't want Serena and Calem to know his identity. "First of all, if you really are a 'friend' like you say you are, why cover your face? I mean, it's not like you're hiding something from us," Serena asked the figure. Grinning, the figure began to remove his hood, commenting, "You make an excellent point, Serena..."

Once the figure revealed his long silver hair and amber-orange eyes, Serena was shocked, not by his appearance, but at the fact that he knew her name. "Wait wait, hold on a sec," Serena said, walking back-and-forth, trying think of all the questions she wanted answers to, "Ok... lets start... What were you gonna warn us about? Where the heck are we? What's going on here exactly? What was that thing that attacked us? And how do you even know my name?" "Patience my dear," the figure replied, "You will get all the answers you desire by doing one simple task. There was a message left on your Holo Caster as well as Calem's, instructing you to go towards the center of the forest. Go there, and you will find all the answers that you seek." Serena was disappointed at getting virtually no information from the figure other than to go to the center of the forest as instructed a little while ago by the other mysterious figure. "And if we don't?" Serena asked. The figure turned around, and started walking, saying, "Then you will have no choice but to keep fighting monsters like that spear that attacked you." Serena was now lost on what to do. It was either obeying instructions from someone she wasn't sure she could trust, or to continue fighting those monsters unsuccessfully over and over again. The figure summoned a shadowy portal and was headed towards it. "Wait!" Serena called out to the figure, "What's your name?" Before disappearing into the portal, the figure turned around to face Serena, Calem, Fennekin, and Sylveon, and replied with his name, "Xemnas." Xemnas then disappeared along with the portal, leaving Serena confused more than ever. "Xemnas..." Serena said to herself, trying to make sense of him, and wondering whether or not he was human. Fennekin went over to Serena, who picked her up and asked her, "Any idea what's going Fenny?" Fennekin shook her head in response, which made Serena chuckle a bit, something she hadn't done much of since defeating Lysandre in Geosenge Town. Facing Calem and his Sylveon, Serena asked, "So Calem, what do you think?"

Zitz grinned as the battle below him ended quickly. Okay, so this girl is totally a hero. He wondered what dimension she came from and what her world was like. Imagining a world where coliseum battles dictated the government and the warriors were the children of the political candidates, fighting for their parents' seat in offic- "Hey, where'd you go, little warrior dudette?" He exclaimed, realizing he was too busy fantasizing to notice the little girl leave. Seeing a flurry of pink scurry awaying in the distance, Zitz leaped down, landing on a pile of crystal powder before they reform. "Hey, wait up!" He yelled as he leaped high in the air, flipping over the girl and landing in front of her. "I gotta talk to you!"

Luigi's bright eyes watched the man closely. He tilted his head curiously as he stared from behind a tree at the man's back. 'Wow, he's tall...' Luigi thought, noting the man's superior height. The red suit reminded Luigi of something, but he pushed the thought to the back of his head. He gripped the tree tightly, pulling his head out a little farther. The weight of the Poltergust on his back was heavy, but he was used to it by now. In his pocket, the Dual Scream was quiet. Luigi wasn't entirely too sure what he was doing before all of this happened -the adventures with his brother were starting to blur together- but he knew he wasn't haunting ghosts or currently communicating with Professor E. Gadd. He had finished repairing the Dark Moon a while ago and returned the equipment to his scientific friend. But here he was, in a messed up version of the Mushroom Kingdom he's helped save with the Professor's equipment and Mario was nowhere to be found. Before everything could digest, he received a message on his Dual Scream, but not from Gadd. The same hooded blue figure had told Luigi to meet him in the forest. Something about him seemed familiar. Not questioning it as much as he should have, he followed his Dual Scream's map towards the coordinates, but had snuck up on this red-suited man instead.

"Um...uhh....well, ... what?" Calem stood, open-jawed at the scene that had unfolded before him. Sylveon gave him a curious purr, obviously sharing his sentiment. "I...don't know. How did he do that? Do you think it was a Pokemon's illusion? Can any of them do that? I mean, I read about this one Legendary Pokemon that ate people so mayb-wait, not important!" He rambled. Truth be told, he was extremely curious as to what Serena's relationship with the silver-haired man --after all, he was completely ignored by the man-- but that was not the question of the day. "Serena, are you -I mean, are you okay?"

Xigbar shrugged as he watched the warrior attack the reforming weapon. "As if! Take me on, huh?" He grinned and raised his right hand near his face. "Sorry to tell you, but you're not gonna get that chance," He replied, snapping his fingers. Several more portals of darkness opened near him and a group of more walking spears walked through. Without an order, the spears marched towards the Warrior.

Leaning against one of the giant mushrooms around them while carrying her Fennekin, Serena heard Calem try to come up with theories about Xemnas, and then asking her how she was. "Well... ignoring the fact that I have no idea where we are, what's going on, or whether Mom, Shauna, Tierno, Trevor, my missing Pokemon, and everyone else we know in Kalos is alright... then yeah, I guess you could say I am okay," Serena replied, "Though I am a bit relieved to see you here. That way, Fennekin and I won't feel so alone in this strange place. And... I'm just glad to see that you're safe." Thinking back to the enigma known as Xemnas, Serena pondered at Calem's theories on whether he was a Pokemon's illusion. "Anyway, to be honest, I don't think that Xemnas guy was a Pokemon's illusion. But... I don't think he was human either," Serena theorized, "He said you and I both got the same message on our Holo Casters. So maybe us being here together isn't a coincidence." Looking at Calem's Sylveon, Serena wondered when Calem even acquired another Eeevee and evolved it. "So... when were you planning to tell me you evolved a second Eevee, hmm?" Serena asked Calem, trying to change the subject, "It looks adorable. Wait... I just remembered something." Walking over to Calem while still carrying Fennekin, Serena was wondering whether some of Calem's Pokemon were missing as well. "Calem, when I arrived here, three of my Pokemon were missing. Did something similar happen with you?"

The Warrior of Light defeated the crystal fiend. The only problem was that this would lead to more enemies spawning. As much as he didn't want to, he would have to fight. The man spoke again and he turned to him, pointing his sword at the gun slinger. "I have no time to deal with you or your cronies. Tell me where I am."He said, but before he could make his threat clear, even more of those crystal beings began to saunter out of dark portals, wordlessly walking towards him. His eyes sternly sharpened as he looked at the summoner of these monsters. "Fine, it looks like I'm going to have to obtain my answers by force."The Nameless warrior said, slight annoyance laced his stoic tone. He flourished his sword to the side and brought his shield up, bending his knees and then charged into the crystal beings. He wasn't specifically targeting them however, he was targeting the summoner who brought them here, Xigbar.

Suddenly a burst of flame roared past the strange-looking warrior, consuming several of the crystal spears.
"Nice job, Typhlosion!" Gold cheered. The Fire-type Pokémon grunted, pumping its fist. "Use Flamethrower again, to the group on your left!" the trainer instructed, and Typhlosion readily obliged.

When Gold, wandering through Ilex Forest, had seen a Paras freeze and suddenly grow into a strange sort of mushroom that was definitely not a Parasect, he knew something was terribly wrong. The changing of the forest itself only cemented that realization. Almost immediately he'd received a call on his PokéGear from an unknown number, the caller urging him to meet him at the center of the forest to help save reality. So he'd reached to his belt to call forth his Noctowl...only to find its Ball missing. He checked the rest of his belt, his bag, the ground around him, but three of his Pokémon had indeed vanished. He was grateful he still at least had Typhlosion, Umbreon, and Azumarill. Even if fixing reality wasn't incentive enough to go meet this guy, Gold figured he might find the rest of his Pokémon along the way.

On his way to where he thought the center of the forest might be, he saw a figure in ornate old-looking armor fighting against a glass spear. What? And then this other guy (pretty creepy-looking) appeared from a swirling dark portal and summoned more of the things. Gold quickly decided that Eyepatch-Guy was bad and sent Typhlosion out to help in the fight.

Gold nodded at Knight-Guy. "We got this! Go get Eyepatch-Guy!" He pulled a second Poké Ball from his belt. "You help too, Azumarill!" The blue Aqua Rabbit materialized from the Ball and happily unleashed a Surf attack on another oncoming group of spears.

Ritz gasped as a giant humanoid toad hopped in front of her and shouted that he had to talk to her. (It wasn't the humanoid toad part so much that surprised her; rather, it was the shouting and the sudden appearance.) Instinctively, she started to draw her rapier and started looking for exits—she hadn't survived in Ivalice as long as she had without learning how to strategize—until the rest of her mind caught up. If the toad had wanted to attack her, surely he would have done so while she was fighting the spear. Also, he hadn't drawn any weapons.

"...Hi," she said carefully, shoving her rapier back in her sheath, but not letting go of it. "Who are you? What do you need to talk to me about?"

Edgeworth had finally decided on a direction to walk in, but the instant he took a step forward, a crystal spear stepped out from the trees in front of him. (W-What in blazes...?!) Before he could fully digest what was in front of him, the spear lunged at him. "Nnggooooh!"

He managed to sidestep, but not entirely; the spear had grazed his upper arm. Fortunately, the thing had managed to embed itself in a nearby tree. (I wonder what would happen if I tried to pick it up...?)

"Uh, well," Calem folded his arms as he took in all of Serena's response. "If he's not human or a Pokemon, then what could he be?" The Kalos Champion ran several scenarios through his head, using his newfound deducting powers taught by his former partner, Looker. Could the man have been some kind of Team Flare member? He didn't dress like one nor did he act like one, but who else could have the technology to -"Wait, what do you mean about Sylveon? She's not my second Eevee, Serena, she's my first," he responded, matter-of-factly. It was true that he had most of the other Eeveelutions, a project he had given himself after defeating the Pokemon League (Only two more evolutions left!), but Serena had battled against his Sylveon before. "You know that, I used Sylveon against you in Kiloude, right after I fought the Pokemon League..."
Whatever was off about 'Serena,' it was starting to bother Calem more and more.

"Well, well, looks like we've got a party crasher," Xigbar noticed as the newcomer's pet blasted Smithy's warriors with fire. As another wave of the spear warriors were repelled with another creature, one utilizing water, Xigbar thought of a former teammate, which reminded him of his mission. "Sorry, but we're going to have our fun another time," he taunted as his Corridor of Darkness opened behind him. "Be a good boy while I'm gone~" and with that, Xigbar disappeared.

"You can call me Zitz, tactical genius and Battletoad extraordinare," Zitz replied enthusiastically with a bow. "But uh," he grinned shamefully, "I'm not the one you should be talking to. You're not from here, right?" He asked, waving an arm to showcase their surroundings, "You see something's wrong, too. Well, I know a guy that can help us with that, but we gotta get movin'!" He pointed to his right, where he knew the center of the forest was located. "And what should I call you, little warrior girl?"

Luigi yelped when the spear attacked the man. He then gasped when the spear barely missed the man and the man proceeded to pick it up?! "Oh, no! No, no, no, no!" Luigi hopped in urgency and ran around towards the man, waving his Poltergust furiously with one hand. "Don't touch it!" He demanded in a timid and high voice as he aimed the Poltergust towards the spear. "Umm, we need to l-leave," Luigi told the man as he sidestepped away from the spear.

"Zero?" X looked around the unfamiliar territory. One minute his red-armored friend was by his side and the next he wasn't. This must have been yet another one of Sigma's traps. The old maverick never knew when to give up no matter how many times they had to put him down. "Alia are you there?" Silence. There were no transmissions he could feel. He was in the dark.

He stared at the grass beneath his metallic boots and tilted his head as he scanned the terrain. None of it was artificial and he knew this was neither a residential sector nor a park watched over by any Reploid he knew of. He looked up towards the sky and continued his investigation on where he was transported to. Despite the fact that it was day his eyes were still capable of seeing the stars above. None of them matched any known constellations. This was not Earth.

"Very well, come then, you are no match for the Monado's power!"

A male's voice was clearly heard not too far away. X rushed ahead knowing that it sounded serious running in to find a boy fighting against some kind of crystalline weapon. His right hand morphed into his X-Buster but as X aimed down towards the thing attacking the boy he hesitated in firing fearing that he would miss. Despite the fact that he seemed to be holding his own he still appeared to be human and X could not just stand back and do nothing.

X knelt down and held his aim steady as his power began to concentrate within the buster as it charged up.
"Hey! Move out of the way!" He shouted towards the boy. After waiting a moment he unleashed the stored energy in his buster in one brilliant surge of blue light.

Roxas dropped Oathkeeper and panted as he watched the blade vanish into bits of light. He had just beaten down that hooded guy who was using his powers of darkness when he was suddenly jumped by some strange creature. It wasn't even a Heartless nor a Nobody. Maybe if he hadn't been so tired he would have done better fighting something so weak but...

"Gah!" Its blade cut through the sleeve of his cloak. Roxas jumped back and gripped Oblivion with both his hands. Was this all some kind of illusion? No, that couldn't be it. Zexion was dead and even Xemnas did not have the power to do something like this without him noticing. He shook his head and backed up several steps. "I should stop asking myself questions. That's not going to get me out of here. I'll just portal back when I'm done here." He tensed up and winced when he did so. This was not going to be easy.

When the strange creature appeared to help him, breathing fire to singe the crystal spear men, The Warrior of Light was momentarily surprised, though he kept his charge, using his shield to knock away the crystal mannequins that dared stand in his way. He gave Gold a light grunt in response, acknowledging his plan. A diversion sounded good right now. A portal of darkness appeared behind Xigbar and the Warrior raised his sword to strike at the gun slinger, striking at nothing as Xigbar vanished, leaving little vapors of darkness in his wake. His forehead wrinkled in frustration. "He got away.."He murmured, standing up and sheathing his sword in the sheath on his side. Then he turned to the boy who summoned those monsters to attack his enemies, walking towards him."I suppose you're an outsider to this land as well."He surmized."Those monsters are powerful..where do you hail from?"He asked.

"Hey! Move out of the way!"

The sudden voice calling out to Shulk immediately caught his attention and immediately glanced over at the source of the voice. What he saw was what seemed to be a man dressed in something that looked like a mechanical armour. His right arm was shaped as a canon and from what he saw it seemed like it was about to shoot something from it. In such a moment there was no time for him to ponder about this stranger and immediately leapt backwards in order to avoid the blast.

"Did that do it?!" Shulk said watching the beam hit the crystallized and destroy it. Closing his eyes, Shulk let out a deep sigh before lower the Monado and stared over at the newcommer. At this point Shulk had to be weary of anybody he met, but the fact that he had warned and helped him was good enough for Shulk. The lazer blade of the monado vanished and the blade closed as Shulk walked up to the stranger. "Thanks for your help, my name is Shulk...do you happen to know where we are?" Shulk asked keeping out his sword in case any more enemies would appear.

Ritz smiled, feeling more at ease with Zitz's easy-going manner. Relaxing, she decided to remove her hand from her rapier. She giggled when he bowed. "My name is Ritz," she answered, playfully curtsying. "I'm...actually getting pretty far removed from my home by now; it's sort of a long story." She played with her hair absently, thinking about how far from St. Ivalice she'd traveled—or, perhaps, been taken—in such a short time. When Zitz mentioned knowing someone who knew how to fix what had happened, she snapped back out of her musings. She looked in the direction he'd indicated, further into the forest. Well, long treks were hardly new to her by now. "Lead the way," she grinned.
"An outsider? Well, I guess so," Gold shrugged. "I never thought of it like that." When Knight-Guy made reference to Gold's "creatures," he tilted his head. The guy didn't know what Pokémon were? But then, in fairness, the guy made it sound like he wasn't from around this place, either. But a place without Pokémon? This was just getting weirder. "Typhlosion and Azumarill have been my partners for a long time," Gold explained. "We've helped each other through some pretty rough times." Hail from? Man, this guy talked really formally. "I'm from New Bark Town, in Johto," he answered. "What about you? Oh, my name is Gold, by the way." He held out his hand for a handshake. "Nice sword and armor."
When the little man in green burst out of the trees shouting, Edgeworth let go of the spear as if it had suddenly burnt him. The crystal being actually seemed more offended than anything, hopping around angrily. "Am I to presume that you also received a message to meet in the center of the forest?" he queried of the green man. "If you have any idea where it is, I'd be most grateful if you could point me in the right direction." The spear still seemed mid-silent rant, so Edgeworth picked a tree branch off the ground, hefted it to get a feel for its weight, then swung it through the center of the spear.

...And yet, the spear suddenly began
    reforming?!

    [

"I'd introduce myself," Edgeworth said hastily, "but I'd rather wait until we're somewhere safer."

"Yes Roxas..." Xemnas's voice creeped through Roxas's head, "Fight that creature. Strike it down with your Keyblade, just as you've struck down countless Heartless for me before. Once you've succeeded, go to the center of the forest. I will be there to instruct you on what you must do here."

Serena and Fennekin looked at each other with confused looks when Calem said that Sylveon was his first Eevee, how they battled in Kiloude, and that he took part in the Pokemon League. "Umm, Calem, did you hit yourself on the head," Serena asked Calem after he mentioned things that contradicted events as Serena remembered, "You actually had a Flareon first. Also, I've never been to Kiloude in my life, though I was planning to go there about a month or two with the pass Professor Sycamore gave me after I took part in the Pokemon League. You never did that. And just to refresh you memory..." Serena took out two photos from her bag, and showed them to Calem. One photo was of Serena and her Pokemon (which included Fennekin, Xerneas, Hawlucha, Lucario, Charizard, and Ampharos) being inducted to the Kalos Hall of Fame after becoming the Kalos Champion. The second photo was a group selfie Serena took of herself with Fennekin, Shauna, Tierno, Trevor, and Calem (but without a hat). "Please tell me you remember all this," Serena told Calem.
