Note: This RP is (obviously) based on the video game, Legend of Dragoon, for the Playstation. I made this RP as a far-off sequel so those who aren't familiar with the series can still participate. All of the information you'll need can be found here or in the story thread. Also, I will be using Fairy Tail names for Dragons (Fairy Tail is a manga/anime), but these are not the same dragons from the series)~

Avatar - Avatars are warriors given the power of a strong beast. Technically, Dragoons are Avatars of dragons. Avatars are different from Dragoons as they are not natural. The King of Serdio has found a way to make Avatars of known beasts: Golems, Griffins, Phoenixes, Leviathans, Angels, Werewolves, and Chimeras. While not as powerful as Dragoons, King Nuvola has made his entire army into Avatars. While a Dragoon can summon the spirit of his dragon as his ultimate magic, Avatars are able to summon the spirit of their beast with ease.

Dragoon - Dragoons are warriors given the power of dragons. There are two ways to do this: by defeating and killing a dragon or by being chosen by a dragon. Dragoons are given heavy armor, flight-capable wings, and magic centered around their dragons. The new Dragoons chosen by Queen Rosa will be chosen specifically by their Dragons, granting them additional abilities that the past Dragoons did not have. Dragoons can be Winglies or humans. Dragoons can summon the spirit of their dragon for a short period of time as his/her ultimate magic.


Endiness - Simply, the name of the continent that this takes place at (map above). There are four countries: Serdio, under kingship of Nuvola; Tiberoa, whose king has surrendered the country to King Nuvola; Mille Sesau, where the haven of dragons exist (in secret to the other countries) and is ruled by Queen Rosa; Gloriano, the icy kingdom west of Mille Sesau and Mille Sesau's ally in the war. There is also the Death Frontier: a vast desert devoid of civilization that stands between Mille Sesau and Tiberoa.

Haven - The name given to the society of dragons. The dragons have been bred and watched over throughout centuries by select individuals and, even though there are only 7 living dragons, Haven is filled with large dragon eggs (each larger than an average person). Haven is underground in Mille Sesau, located near the Mountain of Mortal Dragon (those have played the game know this location. Now, it's just a normal mountain). It is an extremely vast area with forests and rivers running through it as well as small mountains. It is far enough underground that the dragons are able to fly freely. Using magic, Haven is able to produce an artificial sky and sun to give it the illusion of being outside. The plan for Haven is to breed a whole race of dragons who coexist with humans and the other races before introducing the dragons to Endiness, under the eye of the current living dragons.

Lancer - Lancers are members of the group of people that watch over and raise the dragons in Haven. They are a small group (roughly 20 of them) and are each hand selected by older Lancers. Lancers live in Haven alongside the dragons, though they are allowed to leave to keep up with world news and with humanity. Lancers come from all four kingdoms, but their loyalty lies with the mission of Haven. Their identities must be kept secret so they wear long cloaks and a golden horned helmet that reveals only their mouth. Lancers are able to communicate with dragons easily, due to having been raised alongside them.


Wingly - Winglies were born from the 107th fruit of the Divine Tree. Winglies have platinum hair, but otherwise look like normal humans. Their true nature is shown when they reveal their wings, made of light. Though during the Dragon Campaign, they were capable of long flight, they are now only capable of flying short distances. Winglies are now more in number than during the Serdian War, where they almost mythical, and coexist among humans.

• Phoenix - The Avatar of fire, Phoenix Avatars don red armor with four bright wings. They get long, feathered tails. They are able to generate and control fire. They can also withstand any type of heat. The phoenixes that grant them their powers are the 91th fruit of the Divine Tree and look like

• Golem - The Avatar of earth, Golem Avatars don golden or gray armor with a single pair of small wings. Their armor is the heaviest, but their blows are the hardest. Dragons​

There are currently 7 living dragons, one of each element, living in Haven. The dragons are watched over by the Lancers. The 7 dragons will each choose one person to be their Dragoon. Unlike past Dragoons, who received their abilities by defeating dragons, these Dragoons will be granted two additional abilities: a basic ability accessible in regular form and a special ability used in Dragoon form. Each dragon looks for a specific attribute in who it chooses.

• Igneel - The Red-Eyed Dragon (male). Igneel represents courage. Igneel is the oldest of the seven dragons and thus can be considered their "chief." Igneel will choose the most courageous warrior presented to him and turn him into the Red-Eyed Dragoon. Igneel's Dragoon must wield a sword. The Red-Eyed Dragoon's basic ability is to surround his sword in fire and control the fire. His special ability is the firebreathing. (Angelo/Boy Wonder)

• Ultear - The Blue Sea Dragon (female). Ultear represents heart. Ultear is the oldest of the female dragons, but decades younger than Igneel. Ultear will choose the warrior that has the biggest "heart" out of those presented to her and turn him/her into the Blue Sea Dragoon. Ultear's Dragoon must wield a weapon used for bashing, or smashing. The Blue Sea Dragoon's basic ability is to extend whips of water from his/her body and control them. His/her special ability is turn his/her body into water.

• Metallicana - The Golden Dragon (male). Metallicana represents loyalty. He is physically the strongest, despite his smaller size, and can be the most vicious. Metallicana will choose the warrior that will be the most loyal to his/her allies in their mission and turn him/her into the Golden Dragoon. Metallicana's Dragoon must wield a large weapon that requires strength to wield. The Golden Dragoon's basic ability is superstrength. His/her special ability is to molding the earth through sheer will (Think, Earthbending). (Stark/Krowley)

• Grandeeney - The Jade Dragon (female). Grandeeney represents knowledge. She is the proudest of all the dragons, holding herself to a high status due to her intelligence. Grandeeney will choose the warrior with the highest capability for knowledge and intelligence and convert him/her into the Jade Dragoon. Grandeeney's Dragoon must wield a spear, javelin, lance, etc. The basic ability of the Jade Dragoon is flight without the need of wings. His/her special ability is wind control.

• Weisslogia - The White-Silver Dragoon (female). Weisslogia represents commitment. Weisslogia is friendliest of the dragons and the one most dedicated to their cause. Thus, Weisslogia wants to end the war in order to protect Haven. She will choose the warrior that will be the most dedicated to ending the war and change him/her into the White-Silver Dragoon. Weisslogia's Dragoon must wield a either a bow or a crossbow. The White-Silver Dragoon's basic ability is to heal minor injuries as well as making his/her arrows/bolts invisible. His/her special ability allows him/her to heal greater injuries and become invisible himself/herself.

• Skiadrum - The Dark Dragon (male). Skiadrum represents trust. Skiadrum is the largest of the dragons. Skiadrum is as dedicated to ending the war as Weisslogia, believing King Nuvola broke the trusts of the other nations. Wiesslogia will choose the warrior that is the most trustworthy to his/her comrades and believes in them in return. Skiadrum's Dragoon must wield a bladed weapon. The Dark Dragoon's basic ability is control over shadows, able to darken the surrounding area to hide himself/herself and allies. His/her special ability allows him/her to control and mold shadows into objects, solidifying them. (Alaric/Machina)

• Dreyar - The Violet Dragon (male). Dreyar represents honor. Dreyar is the smallest of the dragons, about twice the size of a horse, and is the fastest. Dreyar will choose the warrior that is the most honorable and will stand by his/her name and status, as well as their allies'. Dreyar's Dragoon must either wield a small weapon or rely on his/her own body. The Violet Dragoon's basic ability allows him/her to generate electricity around their body to increase his/her attack, defense, and speed. Their special ability allows him/her to generate large amounts of electricity that he/she can control.

Rules

1. Obviously, no godmodding or powerplaying. Keep content pg-13. Follow the site's rules. Be polite to each other. Be active. Rules like that.
2. You don't have to play the game to know. I've put all in information here.
3. No characters from the original game can be portrayed.
4. Your character (if it's a Dragoon) must actually have the attribute. Don't say your character is the Dark Dragoon of trust, but he/she doesn't trust anybody.
5. Only one Dragoon of each is allowed. No others. This can and may change in the future.
6. The Avatars are not restricted to just one so no limit here.
7. Only three characters max. No more than two Avatars.
8. You can be royalty of any country except Serdio. Queen Rosa will be portrayed by me, but other royalty from Gloriano, Tiberoa, or anyone besides Queen Rosa from Mille Sesau is allowed to be played, even as a Dragoon.
9. Lancers are also able to be Dragoons, if you want one.
10. You can be human or Wingly, nothing else. Just state if you're a Wingly in your character bio.
11. No Divine Dragon or Divine Dragoon.
12. You don't have to be a Dragoon or even Avatar. You can be a normal knight, person, etc. The main characters shouldn't consist of all Dragoons/Avatars.
13. I reserve the right to add/change/break rules, but I will inform you if I do and why.

Personality: Rash, reckless, vengeful, and angry. If cowardice is the lack of courage, then Angelo is the excess of it. He's the "strike first, ask later," kind of guy. He'll stare down any monster without flinching and never backs down. He doesn't respect authority that he feels doesn't have jurisdiction over him. He's headstrong and tends to take the reins of any situation.
Weapon: A round shield on his left arm and a sword in his right.
Biography: Angelo, a Wingly, comes from a semi-abusive home in Tiberoa. His father was a soldier who wanted Angelo to follow in his footsteps. From an early age, Angelo's father put him through several physical trials to strengthen the boy and taught him the art of war, to the point of exhaustion and injury. Regardless, Angelo loved his father and his mother. However, before he was of age and able to join the army, his village was lost in the first battle of the End of Days War. He was sixteen when the town was attacked by Phoenix Avatars. He was one of the few survivors, though his parents were not. During the fire that burned down his village, he saw the face of the leader of the Phoenix Avatars. lAt this point, he decided he would personally hunt down and murder the man. Angelo became a mercenary for the next five years, feeling the army of Mille Sesau is inadequate to handle the threat of Serdio. Rhyswick found him the Death Frontier, exhausted after fighting several monsters. Believing this was the warrior of courage, Rhyswick convinced him to follow the young knight to Haven.

Biography: Rhyswick had a modest upbringing. His father was a retired soldier and his mother was a nurse who died in childbirth. He has an older brother, a doctor in Gloriano. Though he had no idea what he wanted to do with his life, Rhyswick decided to follow in his father's footsteps as his brother followed in their mother's. He was nothing special as a cadet, but slowly worked his way into knight in the last year, during the war. Six months ago, he heard his father had died due to illness and he attended the funeral, alongside his brother. He was the lone survivor in his squad when they were ambushed by a group of Avatars on their way back from battle. He survived by falling from a low cliff into the water and washed up on a shore. He found his way to the Queen and she decided the young knight would be tasked with gathering the Dragoons.

Biography: A Lancer sent with Rhyswick. He kept quiet about his own occupation. It’s something that he was essentially pushed into, just like his father and his father before him and of course, his father. He is the last of his family, as they all died in less-than-tragic ways. Though not fueled by any sort of revenge, Alaric is very much concerned with his duty and responsibilities left to him by his ancestors.
Being amongst the youngest of the Lancers, he was given an opportunity to prove himself by joining Rhyswick to gather the dragoons.

Personality: Often quiet and reserved. He speaks mostly when spoken too and has a strong disposition towards loyalty. Stark is a troubled soul due to his past but will do whatever he can to redeem himself and assist where he can. Despite his brute strength, he dislikes battle.

Biography: A feared and powerful warrior who had slaughtered many men in the heat of battle. Ruthless, he severed heads and left no body alive. This had been his way of life for nearly 15 years, where he had drawn weary of the guilt and sorrow that consumed him. In his 15th year of service, he was blindsided in the right shoulder blade by an avatar. Despite his injury and dislike of killing, Stark wished to stay with his troop. He was, however asked to resign. He is currently a retired blacksmith in the kingdom of her majesty.

Personality: Crazy and arrogant. Azra believes that no one can beat him...because no one has.
Weapon: A claymore that he wields one handed.
Biography: When Azra was 15, the house next to his was struck by a lightning bolt, causing a fire during a night storm. The fire spread to his house and Azra was saved by his parents rushing him out. However, his parents urged him to run while they tried to help others. Azra quickly left the town. He returned upon daybreak to find it had completely burned down and, though there were many survivors, his parents had died, along with most of his friends. This incident caused Azra to have a mental breakdown. One of the surviving neighbors took him in and they moved away. Two years later, Azra, on a whim, returned to his town. Once there, he saw a grass everywhere, as if the earth had healed itself. It had become a beautiful meadow, quickly recovered from the fire years earlier. It was then that Azra realized rebirth is possible through destruction; the old must be done away with to bring out a better future. Through a series of events, he became one of the first Phoenix Avatars, as well as one that could grasp his new powers easily. One of his first missions for King Nuvola involved burning down a village in Tiberoa, giving Serdio a foothold.

Personality: Rilia is a very friendly person, who always wishes to end the war. She sometimes goes out to help the poorer individuals by giving them food, or helping them with simple matters that they're dealing with. She fights to end the war that troubles all of the people and will always fight for peace.
Weapon: Bow & Arrow
Biography: Rilia grew up in a simple home in the city, with all the simplicities of life. She never asked for more than she was given, and was always happy with what she got. While growing up her family came upon hard times, so Rilia learned how to use the bow so she could get work and help pay her family. While only being self-taught with the bow, she was very gifted with it, being as good as some of the veterans. When the war came up, she signed up immediately because she didn't want any person or family to lose what it was that they owned. She new what it was like to lose something precious, and she doesn't want that to happen to anyone.

Personality: Though she can be immature and childish, she is always kind and caring towards all and never judges no matter who you are or where you come from. She is very giving and puts everyone before herself. She is pure-hearted and would do anything if it meant she could help another.
Weapon: War hammer
Biography: Although she was born into wealthy Tiberoa Nobility, Mizu was never cruel or rude to those of any class. She was equally as kind to anyone she met and even the meanest of people would grow to like her. Despite the fact that her parents were constantly against it and scolded her for not seeing her rank, she still continued on helping, even if it got her grounded for weeks at a time. When the war broke out, however, her parents were taken prisoner by the Serdian Army and she was forced to leave her home. Though she had helped many around her from rich to poor, not one of them would take her in. But she didn't lose her strong heart and spirit and though she lived on the streets for a bit, she found work and grew stronger. She was working as a carpenters helper before being found by Rhyswick as she swam in a pond behind the shop. She is determined to fight now and free those who have been captured along with their country, including her parents.

Personality: Cold and cruel to all those around him. He is very distrusting even towards King Nuvola and will bring down anyone who gets in his way. He is never hesitant and is very calm when even doing the most difficult tasks he is assigned.
Weapon: Bo staff
Biography: Abandoned when he was a child, Luke was forced to stay in an orphanage for most of his currently life. He was constantly bullied by all the bigger kids for his weak and girl-like body. The beating got so bad sometimes that it left him unable to walk right for days. Without even a single adult to help him, he began to go mad and eventually came to start defending himself with mops or brooms. He grew stronger and more cold, eventually coming to almost beat one of the kids to death. Being feared by even the elders, he came to get whatever he wanted. But one night, the kids ambushed him and tied him up. They took him to the highest cliff of Mille Rossa and threw him into the oceans below. Miraculously, he survived and washed up on the shores of Serdio. He was discovered by King Nuvola days after when Luke severely beat a guard for just touching him.
Other: Will not tolerate being looked down upon. Only gets along with Raikou even though they have an unspoken communication.

Personality: She is rather mute and hardly responds to anyone unless it is absolutely necessary. She keeps to herself and no one knows what she is thinking but she gets every job done clean and quick.
Weapon: Sword hilt only
Biography: Not much is known about Raikou and no one even knows how she became a part of the army of Serdian. However, even if she is on the bad side, she will not kill anyone unless ordered to due otherwise. She doesn't seem to be much of a fighter but for those who she has faced in her short time with the army, she has beaten without flaw and without much effort. She refuses battle that are brought to her and will not fight anyone who challenges her of their own free will to become stronger.
Other: She likes to be alone most the time but is very loyal to the king and will be seen with Luke every once in a while. Again, a wingly haha.
