Chain of Memories Zero Cards

Okay, I'm confused here. Leon explains at in Traverse Town that the cards with zero on them can beat any card if they come last, right? Well, I always use the card last, and it is constantly canceled out by enemies. Am I just being stupid and overlooking something really obvious?

 

I don't know what you're doing wrong, but if you use a zero card right after your opponent, you cancel his card. But if you use a zero card right before your opponent uses any card, he cancels your card.

 

It wins against anything and also loses against anything.
Unlike bosses, enemies counter those very quickly, so that's probably what's happening to you, they counter it right after you play it.

 

What Toshi said. You have to play it AFTER yr opponent's card.

 

a zero can cancel out any card, even sleights, but any card played after a zero can cancel it out.

It works well, you just have to get the timing of it right.
