I've been searching for a solution for this conundrum for a while, but I haven't found one.

Basically, for whatever reason, YouTube's quality options for videos only go up to 720p, when I know the video is meant to have quality options up to 1080p.

Is there a way to fix this for Firefox? I'm still able to watch 1080p videos in Chrome...

You are able to see 1080p on the same video that shows only 720p in Firefox?

In Chrome, yes, the quality settings go up to 1080p. In Firefox, my quality settings only go up to 720p.

Are you using Flash or HTML?

I think Flash? I tried the HTML thing, but that plain broke Youtube for me, with a ton of visual glitches.

hmm. Its either a flash problem or firefox. I would reinstall one of the 2 and vice versa if one of them doesn't work

Try Uninstalling & Reinstalling firefox either that or maybe trying to clean your cache? those are the most basic things to do.

    1 - Try HTML5 YouTube.
2 - If that doesn't work, switch back to flash, and uninstall then reinstall using the latest flash installer for your OS.
3 - If that still doesn't work, try reinstalling firefox.
4 - Still no results? Try installing Firefox Aurora or Nightly.
