For the year Sora was asleep and everyone forgot him, his own mother probably forgot. And when Destiny Islands was being destroyed/taken over, The ones he worried for were riku and kairi, not his MOTHER!!! He never even went LOOKING for her.
i always wondered that too, i would probably save my mom before my friends if i had the choice lol. His mom must have been a bitch.
Here we go again with the mother issue. He 's looking about his friends because he knows that they are out somewhere. Both Riku and Kairi disappeared, he knew that he could find them somewhere. The world was destroyed and so its residents right? Anyway i guess we have to wait until Mr. Nomura decide to give us more info on the matter. @shmilo: You have a point there.
It's not really important in the VIDEO GAME. However, of course his own mother forgot. Everyone did, except for maybe a few who could only remember "a boy" And after he figured out what was going on (haven't played KH1 in years so I'm not sure if he realized this) but he would know that Kairi and Riku are out there somewhere while his mom, along with everyone else, was inexistent (or whatever happens after a world falls to darkness) and the only way to save her was to defeat Ansem
It's kinda funny that everyone is worried about the realism of Kingdom Hearts and how Sora doesn't care for his parents when he is running around with a talking dog and duck and hitting shadows with a giant key.
It's his mom. They're still connected. He knew her, she knew him, they lived together so they must have spent time together, ergo connection. And oh shit, this is in the spam zone. It's always bothered me that Goofy can walk on two legs and talk while Pluto can't. And why did Donald and Goofy need to transform into OTHER animals?
Well, let's face it, you don't find too many ducks and dog-type things in the serenghetti...and I have a horrible feeling I totally mangled that word. Anyhoo, they're not supposed to be "suspicious"...y'know, like they totally were in PotC land. As for his mom, maybe there's gonna be a huge plot twist with her, like she slept with Mickey and Sora's the Disney Prince!!! :/gasp:
She probably did. Imagine her walking into his room and going "...D: WHOSE ROOM IS THIS?!" That's not his fault, actually. Notice how it's not until after they finish Wonderland, Coliseum first visit and Deep Jungle that they even find out what happens to worlds taken over by the Heartless. He wouldn't have known he had to go looking for her, only asking about his playground island - where he got to see both Riku and Kairi disappear right in front of his eyes. That would call for him to worry only about them but not everyone else.
He ended up on a freaking other world. I doubt he really though they were nearby, especially with everyone telling him they had no clue who they were. Slight difference between doing that and having a part of his world go bye bye. Slight difference.
