[Welp, it looks like I'mma be a freshman in High School this year, I'm getting a job when school starts at the animal hospital near school, my bro is going away for college (actually, nevermind, he's staying and going to a closer college), I'm gonna be in an honors class for the first time and I'm starting an anime club with a friend of mine.]

First of all, how different is an honors class to a regular class?

I'm taking an AP class myself (which is pretty much the same thing) and all my friends who took the class last year tell me that it's a lot harder and requires a lot more working and thinking. But, in the end, you'll know a LOT more than your friends in the CP/regular classes. Think college level work.

Good luck on the Anime club. It may be hard the first couple of years, but if you keep going, you can turn it into something awesome. Also, if you want to try and convince parents to let their kids join, don't just sell the anime/cartoon stuff. Sell the fact that you teach Japanese culture through animation, and that the Japanese culture is highly respectful of elders. They'll love it.

God damn it, I really hope I don't flunk out of it...

And thanks! That's a really good idea.

On Friday, some of my club members and I were trying to advertise to this one freshman, then his mom walks over, and she's all like "So all you do is sit around and watch cartoons all day? Oh hell no." then she started to take her kid and leave. Then Ebner, the guy in charge of the club, steps in and starts talking about culture and stuff and also event planning because we do a convention in March. After he was done talking, she turned to her son and was like "I think you'd better join this club." My friend Jorden and I jaw-dropped.

Meh, since it's a math class, you should be fine as long as you're really good at math.

Wow, that's actually a pretty good idea.

Also, tell me more about what you guys do at your own anime club?

Let's just say that I want to show my school that there are other things than Naruto and Bleach.

Having taken honors classes for the past 4 years I honestly say they're not that much harder than regular. All they do different is go faster in the books, like you might do a chapter each day instead of spend a week in a chapter. You seriously cannot fail an honors class unless you're seriously ******ed.

AP classes are much harder depending all on your teacher. I had a teacher who made us memorize pages of notes only to ask us like 20 out of the 100+ questions we thought we were going to be given. Dude was a fucking ******.

I prefer honors though because it still looks good on your records and I'm way too lazy to read those horrible books and do the work they make you read in AP classes during your breaks. Plus at my school most of the kids in AP are hypocritical ****** bags and I'd rather be with my friends than them.

I wish you aren't serious about the anime club.

Well, that's good to know. So, I won't have to worry too much, then?

    I am.

Not at all. You'll be doing the same stuff the regular class is doing with the same book just a little bit faster. AP is the only one that has their own special book.

Good for you making Honor classes, VGN. Its not really that really that much different from regular classes except the speed you will be going at.

And did you order the stuff from FUNimation and Right Stuff...they do help out anime clubs ^_^ .

I might start an anime club at my school also, since I do need club activties in my school that are acutally fun.

    Weeeellllll.....not really

Honors and AP classes are on different levels (AP's are higher)

Im not exactly sure if honors/APs are necessarily harder, but the workload is heavier in both classes than in a regular class.
