What's with all the necro bumping!?

The past few days I've noticed that more people are necro bumping. It's getting very annoying. Especally since other people don't seem to notice it. And it's only in the area's where posts count. Are they really that desperate to get posts? Isn't there a rule against necro bumping?

Sorry for this rant, I just got sick of seeing old threads continuously popping up and seeing the same people being the ones doing it.

 

*looks pointedly at Departure and Welcome threads*

I know, its ridiculous. And you're not the only person who has noticed.

Its all the newbs desperate to get posts >.>

 

It's not just those two areas. I've also seen it in the KH and KH2 threads.

Good point, but what I'm sick of, is people blaming me for it, I did that like once or twice like 5 months ago.

I know all the people who did it, heres an abreviation NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBS! and a few idiots.

I know, but everyone else is. I just post on whatever's on the front page, other people do it, then I post the necrobumped thread not knowing, then everyone's like, stop necrobumping JD :/

 

This is why I always check the dates before I post.

 

That really sucks when you have to check the dates on threads cause people are idiots. I'm sort of a Noob and I don't do it, so that's no excuse for these people. lol

 

Heres a new question, do you do the same for whats in your fridge? Don't answer the question, its not serious

Maybe because its not against the rules if your post is on topic and helpful.

 

That might be true, but I saw one person had posted in a intro thread for a banned member. That's not exactly helpful.

Most of the time, a necrobumb is a no no if it's just a post for the sake of posting something. If it's part of the discussion of the topic in question it's more OK you know? Or that's how I feel regarding bumps, if it's something that can live on and isn't just temporarly.
