What the Hell are Electrodes?!

Because my little brother's 5 and he still can't talk so he's gonna get an operation to get electrodes in his brain but WTF ARE THEY!?!?!?

 

electrodes are pokemon which look similar to pokeballs. They are electric type and it is an evolved form....

It's an elecrtical generator of some type, it used in many things including medicine. I think it's going to help your brother's brain produce electronic waves to talk.

er...electrodes are things that...you know they...um...pass...

 

An electrode is an electrical conductor that's used to make contact with a nonmetallic part of a circuit, or in this case, your brother's brain.

So basically they're putting tiny little conductors inside your brother's brain in order to connect certain parts of it that aren't working correctly and stimulate the parts of his brain that control speech by producing more electricity and sending more there.

They could also be referring to an ECT session, otherwise known as electroshock therepy, where they electricute you until you do something right, which I HIGHLY doubt they'll use on a 5 year old.

Btw, you could also be wrong in what you're asking, and they could actually be putting electrolytes in his brain, not electrodes. But I doubt that too considering you can get a healthy dose of electrolytes from eating a pizza.

yeah what cin said really, the electrodes basically act like nerve impulses that basically make your brain tell your body what it is you want to do, in this case, talk....maybe your bro is just a mute?
