What do you like or don't like about RPing on KHV?

Some of us here have only ever Role-Played on this forum (kh-vids.net).
Others RP on other sites, usually with different set-ups or traditions and rules.

Regardless of where you RP, what do you like about KHV's RP Arena? How do you feel about the RPers here? What about the rules? The RPs themselves?

What don't you like about these things?

 

Well I haven't ever rped on here, but I can tell you the pros and cons of rping in general.

Pros:

1. When rping you get to step into a character's shoes, and you get to interact with the characters (provided it's not an original rp of course)
2. You can discover new ways to rp, and can develop you character more (provided the character is an oc)
3. You can also improve your writing (providing you're rping in story format)

Cons:

1. Just like rl, there are consequences to your actions.
2. Not everyone rps the same way.
3. Not everyone rps in the same format as you do.

 

I have only ever RPed on this site, and I have to say it's fairly enjoyable.

Likes
It's very accessible.
The RPers are pretty friendly.
The RPs that are made are usually very fun and interesting.
You don't have to be a master of literature to take part in it.

Dislikes
Some RPs are hyped up a lot, and then never even start.
God-Modding can be an issue.
RPs tend to get abandoned quite a lot.

 

I'll keep it brief, because I'm mainly bumping.

This is about KHV only. There are more and I might update later.

Likes:

• Generally friendly members.
• Wide-range of RP levels. (Lit/Non-lit/semi-lit.)
• Flexibility (almost any type of RP goes)
• RP Section is -always- open for suggestions.

Dislikes:

• Same people making RPs.
• Despite flexibility, the same types of RPs are made constantly.
• Inconsistency.
• Non-committed role players who pretend they're committed and then drop out.
• Same people joining the same people's role plays. Like RP cliques, which is ridiculous.

Likes:
Can take characters to new adventures the way you think they would take custom adventures while keeping them in character
Fun to interact with other RP players
Cool, creative stories

Cons:
People going into god mode
Taking forever to leave one setting
Romance options can turn into fan fiction
Some players turn RP's into fan fiction instead of keeping the characters they play as into, well, character
