Alright well hello, I woke up this morning at the fine excellent time of 11:59 AM to craft a hearty breakfast to myself!

Usually such a hearty breakfast at this time and my lethargy of the morning consists of a single slice of toast, light rye, with either butter or jam.

But to my dismay, it appears we were quite out of butter and jam! Whatever is a man to do in this instance whilst still consuming something that is relatively delicious and only vaguely healthy! After burning my first slice because I was forced to use a toaster oven I decided upon random concoctions around my house and something similar to a giant Italian crostini! Huzzah!

    INGREDIENTS

1 slice of light rye bread (this is a relatively small slice as I am doing this for the second time because this is delicious and also for your benefit) - Light rye is definitely the ryeght bread for you!
Assortment of bay leaves - Bay leaves are definitely not a bayne for anyone!
Roasted Garlic - It'll heal what ails ya!
Olive oil - Olive your friends will envy olive the olive oil you have in your house!

I simply placed the aforementioned slice in the toaster oven and messed around with the doohickey thingamabobs until a proper heat was reached and also a good sense of timing is necessary! (I noticed about 350 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit was ideal, but be very careful, because my own toaster oven is known to be capricious and also something out of a steampunk novel)

Praying it has not burned, it is brought to the plate, ready for seasoning.

Drizzle and brush some olive oil on the toast (not olive the olive oil, mind you).

Add varying amounts of roasted garlic unless you are a vampire or any sort of Robert Pattinson character.

Finally, crush the bay leaves and sprinkle as necessary. (These crushed leaves are a bit too large but eh)

And there you have some sort of ramshackle alternative to normal butter and jam that you all probably find disgusting! Splendid indeed.

Looking good. I just woke up. Hungrier than usual now...

I appreciate the puns. But I now realize that I'm a good two hours out from a meal unless I want to drop my comic book money and buy food instead and who would do that?

For a brief second, I thought, "What is jam boogaloo? It sounds tasty."

Firstly, who could ever be that hungry?
Secondly, I don't talk to strangers anymore.

I greatly, and with hurting sides [I laughed more than necessary], appreciate the puns.

That piece of rye toast looks quite delicious. I'm tempted to go make me a toasted jam and butter sandwich.

Better than the tortilla shells I fill with bacon bits, shredded colby jack, and ranch when I'm running low on food.

    Me, under the right conditions.

    Of course not, heh.
