I love looking at those pictures. They remind of how so many humans, just like other animals, kill their young if they are unlikely to survive.

 

I disagree, but I would have to judge for myself whether or not they were likely to survive. Infants cannot fend for themselves, so killing them is a mercy if they are going to die anyway.

Exactly. And with our scientific advancements, we don't even have to wait until they're born to kill them! Isn't technology great?

 

It is harder to determine chances of survival before they are born, alas. It is harder to tell how useful they may be to us if we kill them early on.

Indeed. If you're going to abort a baby, you may as well put it to good use.

 

I will take the other side of this argument once again and say that creating life is equivalent to murder. You are claiming the right to control a life. They are going to die. They are going to have to die because you created them. More, they are going to have to live. They may kill themselves, and you will have given them this thing that they sought to get rid of. If having children is not wrong, then saving them the trouble of living is not either.

 

Abort is such a harsh word. I prefer the term exile. That way you don't feel as guilty.

 

In many cases of abortion, to save one life you must lose another. It also stands that although killing is wrong, there are many things that could happen. If a child dies at birth, you must take into account the pain and likely death of the mother. Would you not just spare at least one from physical harm by saving the mother and killing the child in its pre-natal state?
Truly, killing is wrong. But when has saving a life, either physically or mentally, ever been wrong?

I am treading on thin ice at the moment, of course. And not all abortions are to save the mother's life.
Once more, these are my opinions, and not of course the fact for all.

 

But exile implies that it was left alive. Execute, perhaps?
