Warriors: Starfall

Story (by What?):
Some cats say it is rare for kits to get dreams from StarClan. Their only priorities are to play, eat and sleep. This kit was an exception.
It had been an extremely hot Greenleaf. Besides that, nothing of importance had happened. No battles, no trespassing on others' territory, no name ceremonies, and surely nothing to report at the Gatherings. Some would say this was the most boring Greenleaf ever. But things can change. The Moonpool had dried up. The fact that it was small at the beginning of Greenleaf was obviously overlooked by the medicine cats, who thought nothing of it. They were, of course, surprised that their only contact to StarClan was severed due to the weather. Surely it must be for other reasons? Then, things get worse. A kit named Blazekit, kit of Snowbird and Smokefoot, is mysteriously found dead on the border between ShadowClan and ThunderClan. Igniting already-present rage and fury in the ShadowClan cats, they launch an attack on the ThunderClan camp. However, the ThunderClan cats are able to protect it, and ShadowClan is forced to retreat. Things are different in WindClan. Seeing as this is a chance to create conflict and strife between Clans, a young warrior cat named Yewtail is able to persuade a ShadowClan cat named Finchwing into leading another attack on ThunderClan. Yewtail himself was able to rise to the ranks of deputy, after Ashfoot had "mysteriously disappeared". From then on he sets WindClan on a different path, from listening to the Warrior Code to creating his own code, the Yew Code, which all WindClan cats must follow. Through tales of being the "chosen ones of StarClan", while in turn secretly murdering Onestar and becoming leader himself, he sets WindClan apart from the rest of the Clans, claiming that "WindClan shall be above the lesser clans of the lake! WindClan is beyond that point! On this lake there shall be three lesser clans and one greater clan!" There were three clans left on the lake.
What really happened to Blazekit? Who was the mysterious Yewtail? Whatever happened to StarClan and the Moonpool?
These questions shall soon be answered.

Oh, Shiki, you like Warriors?

 

OOC: I guess we'll start.
BIC: Goldenpaw opened his eyes. He was in ShadowClan's apprentice den. Next to him he saw his Clanmate, Frostpaw. He got up and stretched. Tonight would be the night of the full moon. It would be his first Gathering he would go to as an apprentice. He walked out of the den towards the fresh-kill pile and picked up a vole. He re-entered the den and started eating the vole.

 

A faint light in front of Silverpaw turned the closed eyelids red and warm. She slowly blinked her eyes open and then looked up at the sun shining outside of the apprentice den.

The young apprentice got up and padded outside, and saw that the clan was sharing tongues. Among them was Yewtail, who was with a sooty colored she-cat with bright amber eyes. They were deep in coversation, and Silverheart grew curious.

Closing her eyes and focusing deeply, she tried to penetrate the thoughts of the Yewtail. It proved too difficult, and instead she went on to the she-cat. A sudden flow reached her own mind, and a voice filled her head. Silverpaw heard, "The Yew Code...will StarClan be angry? But... Yewtail is a deputy and maybe he saw..."

The energy was draining out of her, and Silverpaw lost the connection.

 

Goldenpaw yawned when he saw tortoiseshell pelt brush next to him. It was his mentor Tawnypelt. She gave his ear a small lick. "It's time to go out hunting," she said. "You'll need to do your duties if you want Blackstar to choose you to go to the Gathering tonight." The golden cat nodded.

Goldenpaw knew that the Clan leader would choose which cat would go to the Gathering, besides the deputy and the medicine cat, who would be coming by default. The Gathering was held on an island near RiverClan territory. Originally the island was unable to be crossed without swimming, but StarClan fell a tree on the island to make a make-shift bridge many seasons ago. This was also how StarClan confirmed Onestar as the real leader of WindClan, when the tree crushed the former deputy Mudclaw when after a raid on WindClan in an attempt to kill Onestar.

Tawnypelt left the den, and her apprentice followed. Goldenpelt gave a curt nod to their leader as they left camp.

 

Silverpaw opened her mouth and murmered a small hum of confusion. She didn't know what this "Yew Code" was or why it would anger StarClan. The silver furred apprentice was quickly distracted by the smell of food, and her belly rumbled hungrily. She took one last look at the two cats and turned to eat, because her hunger was just too overwhelming.

Padding towards the pile of prey, Silverheart chose a small rabbit and took it to a sunny patch of the WindClan camp.

 

Frostpaw opened his constantly tired-looking eyes. Just as always, he did not have a very good sleep. The entire apprentice den was shrouded in darkness, as it usually was in the ShadowClan camp. Yawning, Frostpaw slowly got up and padded toward the exit, careful not to step on any other sleeping apprentices.

If those mouse-brains can't even get up when they're supposed to, then they shouldn't be apprentices in the first place! Frostfang thought, as he glanced back at the rest of the snoring cats.

Heading outside, Frostfang could sense the anticipation and eagerness of some of the other awakened apprentices. He quickly recalled that it was to be his first Gathering, but unlike the others, he was not interested in the affair of other cats. It's just another waste of time he thought. All of this excitement is.

He grimaced as he heard the mewling of the kits in the nursery. Not again. It was not just the kits that annoyed this certain cat, but everything in general. The sound of sleeping apprentices; the oddly bright sun shining through the canopy of trees; the demands of the kits and elders; and the leader. Especially the leader. He disliked Blackstar to an extent that he would, at times, challenge his authority, which many cats knew was against the Warrior code. This made him one of the disliked cats of ShadowClan, and Frostfang disliked all of them too, with the exception of his friend Goldenpaw.

But out of all of this, Frostfang was annoyed by "StarClan".

Since he had been a kit, he had learned stories of "StarClan", fallen warriors whom were said to live in the stars. Frostfang doubted this heavily, and would go to certain lengths to prove it, but all attempts failed miserably. Though because of this, the only place where he would not be annoyed by anything was on a small hill near the lake edge, where he could silently sit and plan out how he would prove all of this, and more, to his clan mates. He planned to do that this night.

That is, if I am able to avoid the departure to the Gathering altogether.

 

Goldenpaw spotted a mouse standing near a bush. The golden cat dropped into a hunter's crouch and slowly crept up on the prey. In a flash, he pounced on the mouse, squeezing the life out of the small rodent. His eyes gleamed with pride he picked up his prey and walked over to his mentor.

"Good job," Tawnypelt congratulated. Goldenpaw had only been an apprentice for about a moon, but his hunting skills rivaled that of a senior warrior, thanks to his amazing eyesight. The golden tom and his tortoiseshell mentor quickly dug up the prey he had caught earlier.

When they entered the ShadowClan camp they dropped the prey onto the fresh-kill pile. Goldenpaw spotted another apprentice, Frostpaw, and ran over to great him. "Hey, Frostpaw!"

 

After picking at the rabbit, Silverpaw looked up for Crowfeather. The obsidian color cat was not in sight, for maybe he was on patrol. Silverpaw's ears twitched in excitment at the realization that tonight was the full moon, and with the full moon comes the Gathering.

Silverpaw had never been to a gathering before, and her body shook with excitment about finally crossing the log bridge to the serene island that floated in the lake, a silent beacon to gather all the cats and shelter them peacefully for that one night, where they can share tongues and speak under truce.

She was most excited to see the other clans. The softy Thunderclan cats, which really she thought wasn't that bad that they were kind, for they were strong hearted as well. The swimming Riverclan, and how their pelts must stink with water, but how lean and lithe they must be! And of course, there was the big bad Shadowclan, with fearsome warriors that knew no fear and lived on pride and the power over others. She was actually a little scared to see them.

A friendly mew greeted Silverpaw, and she was brought back from her daydreaming. She had to work hard for Yewtail to bring her to the Gathering, so when she turned and it was Crowfeather she was already bounding with eagerness to start the hunting.

OC: Can I also be Yewtail? And another OC, if I may :3 It gets boring playing as myself in Windclan. Is there only a limit on how many OCs I have? Because I think Crowfeather and then Yewtail would count for me, as well as Silverpaw and then this new OC D=

Frostpaw glanced up at the familiar sight of the golden tom. Standing up calmly, though slightly annoyed due to being disturbed while deep in thought, he padded over to Goldenpaw.
