    A collaboration between DreamWorks and Netflix, Voltron: Legendary Defender is a reboot of the '80s animated series.
    The show's crew features alumni from Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra as well as the DC animated universe--Joaquim Dos Santos will be the executive producer and showrunner, with Lauren Montgomery as co-executive producer, and Tim Hedrick as head writer.

    Main cast:
    • Princess Allura - Kimberly Brooks (Ben 10: Omniverse, Mass Effect)
    • Coran - Rhys Darby (What We Do In the Shadows, Flight of the Concords)
    • Shiro, Black Lion - Josh Keaton (The Spectacular Spider-Man, Transformers Prime)
    • Hunk, Yellow Lion - Tyler Labine (Reaper, Tucker & Dale vs. Evil)
    • Lance, Blue Lion - Jeremy Shada (Adventure Time, Batman: The Brave and the Bold)
    • Pidge, Green Lion - Bex Taylor-Klauss (Arrow, iZombie)
    • Keith, Red Lion - Stephen Yeung (The Walking Dead, The Legend of Korra)
    The 13-episode first season will launch on Netflix on June 10.

    News from Comic Con! Season two of the show will hit Netflix later this year! A trailer was shown, but has yet to be officially released.

    The series' official soundtrack has also been released on iTunes!

    I'm going to end up watching this show, aren't I?

    Is it good? Like is it really really good? Cuz if it is I'll bump it up to watch it before I start Game of Thrones since it's only 13 episodes.

    (Also Tale you butchered poor Steven Yeun's name in the first post xD)

    i'm sorry i think i was just copy-pasting from somewhere else ;__;

    Yeah, it's really good! It's a lot more serialized than it is monster of the week, which is already a good step up from some of its genre contemporaries. And, as mentioned, it's got the awesome pedigree of writers from Avatar, Korra, and the DC animated universe, plus the animation studio behind Korra (and Avatar, sort of). The voice acting is top-notch, the characters are great, their stories are promising... Just go for it.

    Oh thank God there's more than monster of the week stuff. Like sometimes that can be great (like in Constatine for explain) but sometimes the MotW stuff DRAGS after awhile (*coughSupernaturalcough*).

    Okay I guess I totally be checking this out as soon as I at least finish Buffy. I'll let you know what I think after I finish it!~

    I actually really recognize the work from the korra staff. Especially with hunk and Keith. Got a big mako and bolin vibe from them. (And I guess lance is sokka haha)

    Can't wait for season 2!
