    Great bands get popular?
    I'm glad that my favorite bands get popular and they start to get more and more fans. ;x
    More popular = more tours

    But if you're talking about like...people who PRETEND to be fans when they get popular. ;x
    Like My Chemical Romance:
    "I'm a big fan of them. The Black Parade is a great song, it's the only song I heard by them. Gerard is hot by the way."

    Yea, then they go and sell out and you are stuck listening to there old stuff cause the new stuff gets old. I hate hearing those songs on the radio, that you used to blair while driving and now you can't cause everyone else does.

    Damn its lame

    It's Paramore that I'm so effing angry about! All We Know Is Falling was amazing truly, deeply, amazing. RIOT! had some great tracks too, but it was a let down for me. I was expecting some great punk pop/rock tracks that topped the ones I loved from All We Know.

    And then MTV had to go and whore them! It's every second, every commercial, every preview for new shows: THERE THEY ARE.

    It's just getting to me... I don't want Paramore to turn into a pop band. ;-;

    I love that when bands get big they get more fans, and it's really great for them, and I feel so selfish feeling like this, but I can't help it.

    There's the posers who act like they've liked them from the start that really get to me. The people that download everyone of their songs, would never DREAM of buying their CD's.

    I know the feeling Misty, I was a really big fan of 30 seconds to mars before they got big, since then I can't stand them now that I see them everywhere.

    Yea, but you can thank itunes for the not buying CD's thing.

    I could never stand them, even when they weren't popular, but it's good to know you know how I feel.

    I just don't want that to happen... I don't want the media to ruin the bands I love.

    Yea there are plenty of bands like that, such as blink 182, I went to their concerts before they got big and they were a local band. NO, not anymore. Its annoying to see once a band makes one good song and 10 other filler tracks. Its disappointing to see what music is turning into.

    It wouldn't bug me as much if people wouldn't outplay them.

    Like with Paramore, Misery Business, their latest signal. I was never as fond of it as I was with the other tracks, but I still liked it. MTV and all of them have ruined it for me. I try not to even watch those channels anymore out of fear that they'll ruin the other songs for me as well.

    And they don't bother to play their other songs, either. Emergency and Pressure -- both amazing songs with awesome videos -- don't get played. EVER. It's always the same Misery Business! D:

    I know. ;-;

    I don't want them to get all caught up and start to change their style of music. :/

    Oh yes. I'd like to quote Jack Black, plz.

    "Oh yeah. And there used to be a way of sticking it to the man. It was called rock and roll. But you know what? He took that away too, and ruined it with a little thing called MTV!"

    That really made me smile...great pun

    It is really sad to see how they do ruin it. Wait MTV still plays music all I ever see on there is the real world and other stupid shows about drunk whores....damn news to me.

    I don't think music is reguarded as an art anymore with that, I can't tell the difference between half the bands that preform, everything is starting to blend together to me.

    I agree 100% there, Spitfire.

    Just seeing what the music industry has come down to really makes me sad. That's why one day I want to be in some sort of music group and never change like that or let people outplay my stuff.

    Start listening to underground music. It helps, you will never hear someone blairing the same thing. Its nice.

    Pwns beyond belief
