Vanitas Sentiment may be the hardest boss in the game.

But he's also the only boss that doesn't cheat. He has 6 attacks, none of which he uses twice in a row. He has a Shoot-Lock and at least one Style Change. And after a certain number of attacks, he has one special attack that he does. That's right. He's the only boss in the game that's under the same limits as your character. Unfortunately, that means he also has the same abilities as your character. Just thought I'd share what I noticed.

I love those kinds of bosses. KH needs more of them.

I know. But the thing is that this is exactly what makes him harder. Since he uses commands and they need to charge, his moves are way less predictable. Now his Shit-Lock, as I call it, is easy to dodge due to to fact that it's just a giant laser thingy that he moves back and forth. And all his normal attacks are easy to block. But his Style Change is ridiculously overpowered! And his commands are powerful enough to have been mastered. And he has Curaga. He's most definately a That One Boss.

    THANK YOU.

But no, the one that pisses me off the most is Xaldin. People say he's hard. He is not hard. He's cheap. I need exactly two things to beat him on Proud: the abilities that keep you at 1 health through attacks and combos. Because on Proud his damage spikes, and since his ultimate attacks are breakthroughs in the search for pure concentrated gay, you can't survive them unless you're more over-leveled than I have the patience to achieve or you can cancel out all the damage. All I need on Normal is my Keyblade. Shit, I could probably beat him blindfolded.

He's a Bonus Boss, he can't be a That One Boss.

Can't Vanitas Sentiment be beated very easily by spamming Tornado with Ven? That would be one of the few occasions where you see an inverse of the Computer is a Cheating *******. Of course if you try to beat him without being cheap, then he's incredibly harder.

Well if that's the case then BBS doesn't have a That One Boss. The Bonus Boss article lists him as a puzzle boss.

@GS: I'm playing as Aqua. I've got the basic theory of it down. Run towards him and cast Detonation Square, then, let him run after you so you can (hopefully) block his attack and hit him with a Barrier Cracker. This and a few normal attacks are enough to make your Style Change to Magic Wish. Then you pretty much do the same thing to change your style to Ghost Drive. Only thing is that whenever you heal, he heals.

Or rather, whenever you use Cure/ra/raga he uses Curaga, so once you get Recovery Barrier you're good to go.

If you were Ven or Terra thing's still be a little complicated since you don't have almight all-directions block with added pseudo-curaga, but Terra can Destroy Art him to death whenever he's not using the attack he uses at the start of the fight(If you get all 4 hits easily, he'll be gone in 2-3 uses), and Ven can Holy Rise/Holy/Combo as Cyclone or Wingblade behind his back while he's shooting his laser, with a few Detonation Squares here and there he's done.

And there's also Heal Strike that Heals around half your health, and Potions.

True, true. I've also noticed that you can use Cur[(a)ga] during his shoot lock without him using it. Probably because of the way his AI is set up. During his shoot lock the only thing he does in response to you is follow you around in a circle. My guess is that the RAM is only handling that function in his AI at the moment, giving you a free heal. You can also use Cur[(a)ga] to force him to heal and then beat on him while he's recovering his normal . Of course, this is only in theory because I've never been close enough to actually do it. But he takes long enough for it to be possible. And it's actually possible to prevent him from using that first attack right away. Just rush at him mashing O or run at him and use Detone Square with Aqua. Easy-ish.

@Fuk: Wouldn't a sick boss be very easy?

I seriously need to play that, though.
