Well it just started to happen when my avg stopped working, I try to download something to vista and it does and when I try to pull it up its nowhere to be found, I try again and again and still nowhere to be found I don't know what to do.

I'm guessing AVG is your antivirus program, so if it's stopped working then something might have gotten into the computer. Do you have another antivirus program to scan for any viruses or spyware by chance?

Becaue I've got a sneaking suspicion that whatever you downloaded before had something attached to it that's causing you problems. If you can find that file, try to clean it with another spyware remover or just delete it.

    Check your "downloads" folder.

Random question, what kind of browser are you using? If you use IE, it should have saved to your hard drive. If you're using Firefox, it's in a completely different folder.

Ok...then go to Windows Help on your computer and search for System Restore, then have System Restore roll your computer back to the last restore point it made (preferably before you downloaded whatever you did). Your computer will guide you through the steps.

And unfortunately that's about as far as I can go as far as help...I'm still running XP Pro so I don't know much about Vista...

Next time you downlod it, make sure you download it to the desktop so you know where it is.

Make sure that whatever you're downloading is compatable for Windows Vista.

My final advice to you is to do a virus scan on your computer. Sorry.
