The Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Duel Arena 2.0!

Well you know the drill people, Same rules as the last one.

Rules:
1. You must announce what card you are playing.
2. You must announce what phases you are entering.
3. You must ALWAYS include the image of EVERY card you are playing in your post including facedown cards otherwise your move doesn't count.
4. You may also Private Message or Visitor Message members who you want to challenge to a Duel.
5. No editing your posts to try to change your move after you already took your turn and someone else had already made their move.
6. Custom Made Cards are also allowed.
7. You must take your turn within 2 Days of when your opponent took their turn or it automatically counts as a forfeit. You must also finish the move you're making within 24 Hours.
8. You can choose to play with either 2000, 4000, 8000, 12000 or 16000 Life Points as long as both players agree to Duel on those terms.
9. If your opponent does try to include the card image or card images but they still don't show up through no fault of your opponent give him/her a chance to edit his/her post so the images are included and do show up.
10. If something comes up and you are unable to finish the Duel with your opponent you may forfeit anytime.
11. Be careful when mixing themes. Only use themes that do go well together. Make sure that what you're doing makes sense. And don't go against your Deck Theme.
12. No unbeatable combos allowed.
13. No FTKs Allowed! Play like a Real Duelist!
14. No stealing other people's combos that were used here.
15. No stealing other people's cards and using them against them in a desperate attempt to win.
16. If you're gonna use customs make sure that their description matches the actual TCG gameplay terms that real cards have.
17. If you're gonna use customs make sure that they are not something that wouldn’t exist in the real game due to simple mechanics such as Level 4 Monsters with 2500+ ATK for example.
18. When posting the card images make sure they are big enough that their description is readable.
19. If you're gonna change the type of Deck you're using be sure to say so first.
20. You must quote your opponent when replying to their move.
21. More than one Duel at a time can take place.
22. If The Rule Moderator tells you to redo your move redo it. No Questions Asked.
23. The Champion is the one who sets the terms and decides who goes first.
24. You can choose to play with either 40, 50 or 60 Cards. And if you exceed your chosen amount of cards and cannot draw during your draw phase, you lose.
25. When you request a duel with someone, you must use this template:

1. No Godmodding. Translation: No making Godly, Immortal, or Impervious Cards! Everyone card must have a weakness or drawback, no matter how strong it is. This is a staple rule, Making/Using Unbeatable Cards and/or Cards with Infinite ATK/DEF will not be tolerated. Doing so will result in a game loss.

2. They can't be ridiculously overpowered.

3. They can't be just plain cheating.

4. They can't be a costless version of a card that already exists.

So, if I made a custom deck would it be cool to have a practise duel to test it's balance, make sure it's not over powered/just plain cheating?

 

Also, can we add "State the phase you're in," "State how many cards are in your hand at the beginning and end of your turn," "Include ALL images (some people are still forgetting this)," and "Press enter between your lines and images," so the images don't stretch the page and make it hard to read. That has been a problem for me.

Allright, seeing as I rarely dueled and I'm just being ignored unless I do something that makes all of you all mad at me. I'm just going to stand back and watch this burn. But when it is closed no one can say I didn't try to fix it.

i will be the rule moderator here.

For clarification, i WILL be enforcing the rule that you ABSOLUTELY MUST state the phase you are in before moving to it. This includes the draw and standby phase, even if nothing happens during the latter.

Here are a few more rules that I will be enforcing (yay, they're on the first page).

1. When you request a duel with someone, you WILL use this exact template (thanks to RamenKun)

You WILL use this template or your duel will be considered invalid before it even starts.

2. You WILL post the image of EVERY card involved in a duel. This includes cards that are discarded or milled. If you do not do this, you will have to redo your move. I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO EDIT. YOU WILL REDO IT. And as a rule, if you make 3 moves that muse be redone, you lose.

3. At the end of your turn, you WILL post your field, including your monster zones, field zone, and spell and trap zone. As a new rule, you WILL post all cards that were sent to the graveyard or removed from play during that turn. This is to avoid confusion and because the graveyard and RFG zone is public knowledge in real duels.

4. Upon the activation of ANY Spell card during your turn or Trap card during either player's turn, or Effect Monsters effect during either players turn, if your opponent has the ability to chain one of their facedown cards to it, you WILL ask for and wait for a response.

If your opponent fails to respond with a chain within 24 hours, the opponent MAY NOT CHAIN TO THAT CARD, and you can continue your turn. For this reason, it is recommended that both participants be online during a duel, so they can respond with "yes, i will chain" or "no, i will not chain".

5. The source of all Card Rulings will be the official Konami website for The Duelist Genesis onward, and Netrep for Legend of Blue Eyes up to duelist Genesis. These are reliable sources and as the Rule Mod i will use them, and you will not argue.

6. As of now, I'm going to respond to any out-of-line arguments whether they involve me or not over a duel with an immediate duel termination and a game loss to whoever was the antagonist in my opinion. You will not argue in this arena.

Jaden hasn't approved any of these, but in my opinion, I'm not crossing any lines, and he's already told me that I have his support for this kind of thing.

New rule:
Lately there's been more and more duels happening, and it's getting kind of straining to keep up. Especially when there's customs involved. So, to save myself the pain (and hopefully so you guys can learn the rules better), I'm incorporating a new rule:

Calling over the judge

^^that is to get your attention.

Anyway, here's how it works. If you've played RL YGO, you probably know where I'm going with this.
In a real life game, even tournaments, you don't have a judge watching every single move to make sure it's legal. It's up to YOU to make sure your opponent isn't breaking the rules. You need to learn them. If your opponent gets away with breaking them, it's your fault.
From now on, if you see an opponent breaking the rules, you point it out to him and tell him to change it. IF:
-Your opponent refuses to change it
-You are said opponent and you think you aren't breaking the rules
-You aren't sure whether your opponent is breaking the rules or not
-etc.

You then PM or VM me and I'll come take a look. My word is final in that case.
Keep in mind, however, that i WILL still be looking at duels, just sometimes not ALL of them. This is why it's important to call me over.

I'm sure that all of you are painfully aware of what a troublemaker Ruon has been here ever since she first participated in that last one. So I suggest that we Ban her from The Arena. Think about it guys. With her gone this place will stand virtually no chance at all of getting locked...

How do we go about banning her from The Arena? Before you ask I'll tell you:

It's quite simple really, I can add her to my Ignore List. And I encourage everyone else who participates here to add her as well. (I'll wait for everyone's opinion before I decide to enforce this)

There's another issue back in The Duel Arena that I need to clear up people...

I don't know why none of you can see that Luck Based Cards need to be Banned from The Arena...

Luck Based Cards are EXTREMELY overpowered here. And they NEED to be Banned.

And No, This has nothing to do with my Last Duel with Ruon...=P

If this is the only way I can convince you guys that they need to be Banned then so be it!

I'm open to a Duel now if this is what it takes to convince you guys, I'm going to abuse all of these cards so you can see for yourself just how ridiculously overpowered they are when used here!

I'm going to be as cheap as possible!

 

I'm gonna agree about the luck based cards since you could easily lie about what your outcome was if it was a coin flip or something. They shouldn't be allowed otherwise Jirai Gumo would be a pain in the ass xD

 

That's exactly my point. And of course we've got the fact that Cup of Ace becomes as powerful as Pot of Greed...=P And you can summon Time Wizard and clear your opponent's field of monsters by simply imagining that you called the coin toss correctly...=P

I could go on but I don't see why I should have to...

 

I've had an idea of letting the outcome of luck-based cards be randomized by a neutral third party but since Xakota's extra rules have made made it advisable for the duelists to be online at the same time, this would be highly inefficient.

Okay, so Aqua has countered my Magic Cylinder with Hanewata.
I use Ring of Destruction on her E-Hero during her Main Phase 2.

I wait for her counter, if any.

 

Have we sorted out the problem with what qualifies as "luck based?"
For example, MST can be considered random.

I thought it would go without saying that that last one would just end in a Draw because of The Previous Arena being closed...

EDIT: But if it'll keep you guys quiet then by all means I will make it illegal to use MST on a Facedown Card!

I agree that REAL luck based cards like Cup of Ace and Sixth Sense should be banned, but I'd like to stress that Dark Coffin and pretty much anything that doesn't involve a coin toss or a die roll are not luck based.

Wait, I'm sorry but there is one thing that I must disagree with here...

There's a card called "Slash Draw" which is WAY Absurdly Overpowered if used here...

If you've seen it you'll know what I mean.

That card absolutely MUST be Banned...For a very obvious reason:

Because you can just imagine that you drew another copy of it after you play it. And since it's activation and effect can't be negated your opponent can say goodbye to all cards on their field...=P

Omg that card is exactly the same as Envoy of the End. Yes, ban it. And the Scarlett thing yes ban her from here. She still argues even though I beat her in that duel. Is it okay if I use her deck though Jaden?
