Traditional Art The Reach of a Mother

I drew this in school earlier, and i didn't have any sketch paper at the time ;~;

 

I really like it. I think if you showed the boys face, it would look better, but really nice work!

I have another drawing where someone's hand is extended to reach for an apple in a tree lol :p

well, where i thought she was a woman, that their nails would be much more fixed up lol

 

The child's hand looks pretty OK, just the thumb that is a little too thick. But the mother's hand is almost the same size, so it doesn't give any adult vibes - I get the impression that it's a few years older sibling reaching out the hand. Make it bigger, and add lenght to the fingers, women tend to have more elegant hands. (compared to the male hand that is like a square, female hands are like ovals)

 

Cool...I wish i could draw like that too... >.<

 

The hands are alright....could be revised. And it just seems plain. Adding a background wouldn't hurt.

I haven't got a good idea for one though =[

maybe on a street, sidewalk, or something??

 

The child's thumb is kind of big, so try making it smaller to make it blend with the rest of the hand. The mother's hand is too small for an adult, so try making that bigger to show the difference.
