The Box of Awesome Stuff

Mmkay, this is what it is.
Participate as much as you like, I'll try to do it every day this year.
All you have to do is post something awesome that has happened to you today.
You can post more than one thing, and you can skip a day or so if you'd like.
The aim is to keep track of all the awesome things that have happened in the year so you can reflect on every single little good thing that happened at the end

But Kat, why would we do this? What's so good about it?
Well people, it gets the positive thinking sparks flying. Often we are surrounded by so many stresses from our work, school, friends and other matters that we lose sight of how great our worlds actually are. By posting one thing per day, even the smallest thing that seems good, you can be a little happier about the world you live in.

Last year, if anybody recalls, I was having a very tough time in all aspects of my life, and it really got me down. I more or less just want to see if this works for anybody else to keep their spirits up, and hopefully enjoy this new year a little more than the last. The aim is to keep track of all the awesome things that have happened in the year so you can reflect on every single little good thing that happened at the end.

Found my old saxomophone. Unfortunately I haven't played it in 10 years and I've completely forgotten how, but I played a few notes...kinda :P

Sure this sound like a great idea. And I actually found my Harmonica which means I can resume my attempts of learning to play it.

Okay, well I got $10 worth of tips today, I got to leave early, and my train was air-conditioned. Its only 2:30 here, I'll edit this at the end of the day :P

2/1/14 - Started reading 'Yotsubato!' if that counts for anything.

 

Gonna do yesterday and today:
1/1/14 Got a shift that pays double. I've got two more double pay shifts coming next week! I like Finnish labor laws more than American.
2/1/14 Ordering pizza with my siblings and my brothers girlfriend. Haven't done that in a while. Also just used gift cards to order stuff on Amazon.

 

1-1-2014 - Was feeling really depressed because of reasons, thought I was gonna have to go to bed at an awkward time & in a sour mood (which usually means tossing and turning for an hour or two). Then I noticed there was an A:TLA marathon on which INSTANTLY CHEERED ME UP. Spent the day watching that then actually got a good night's sleep that night :'D Based A:TLA saved me

 

My dog didn't wet the bed.

Organized my receipts today. This is actually kinda significant because they had been thrown all across one of my shelves and it was starting to annoy me by how much space they were taking.

 

OMG WHEN WHAT TIME?!

 

3/1/14 My paycheck arrived, so I'm finally gonna get a smart phone

 

Wait. It's already March?

 

January 1st ~ Finally finished Merlin after months of putting it off.

Some time tonight 03/01/14: Watch both Kick-Ass films back to back while eating curry.

Went house-hunting today, which involves a 4.5 hour drive around heaps of suburbs to see all the pretty houses. It was really fun :)

 

Most places outside of the US use day/month/year, since it makes more sense to go from the 'smallest' to the 'largest" :)

 

Yes, yes it does make more sense :P

I was behind the bar at work today, meaning I had to make all the coffees. The great part is all the customers loved it!! :D
