I was watching FMA:Brotherhood today and my entire family came in and started watching it. None of them watch anime so it was just weird. Icing on the cake was my sister laughing as tiny Envy was crying.

I think that episode is now ruined for me.

My Mom used to watch Sailor Moon and several other anime shows with me.
And she liked them once she figured out what was happening.

never had that happen, since I take precautions by watching my shows alone. I hate having people in the room. I need silence when I watch something

My siblings watched a bit of school rumble with me, but they don't run in on the wild school antics. Noooooo, they walk in on the beach episode where there are bikini's everywhere and Haruima doing naked yoga... FML...

My parents didn't see a thing and i'm surprised that my siblings haven't tried to get me in trouble. They love getting me in trouble over misunderstandings.

This has happened to me on way to many occasions. I will watch an anime on my computer and dear old dad would pop up over my shoulder, watch what I'm watching, and make some comment about it being to violent or childish. After a while he starts to ask me for anime names that I think are interesting so he can "check them out". I really hate it when my family gets like that. I get really nervous and start hoping someone in the anime doesn't lose an arm or head while my family is looking at my computer screen.

My 10 year old brother likes Ouran Highschool Host Club.
    It's hilarious.

I've never been in that situation, but I know how that feels. My parents might roll their eyes, but they don't really comment or tell me to stop.

I've had a swarm of infant relatives appear while I was watching Kamen Rider. As a kid my parents would watch some anime and kid shows with me, I ended up not watching some of them because of them taking the piss out of the dubbed lines as they say it. One of the four things I remember about Masked Rider.

I remember the weekend Cartoon Network showed the first 100 episodes of Naruto. My mom and dad watched it with me on the second day, and my dad identified with Jiraiya. >_>

My sister (seven) likes watching Wedding Peach and Angel Beats! with me from time to time. When I was younger, my dad and I watched Dragon Ball Z together, and my mom always used to ask me stupid questions about Sailor Moon.

My mom watched Death Note and Inuyasha with me. Inuyasha because I pretty much forced her, since I watched it every. single. day. and started it in 3rd grade. Death Note because she thought Ryuk was hilarious for some reason.

Because Ryuk was hilarious. He was the only reason I watched it apart from L.

This reminds me of that time when some college kids were laughing at the first complete showing of Metropolis (1927) in over eighty years.

I can identify with those of you with parents that think it's weird, I was watching FMA: Brotherhood as well yesterday. My dad walked in when Roy was burning the hell outa Lust....I said it was anime and he though they were insane pokemon trainers...-_-'

Hahaa thats why i also read manga instead. i bought the Bleach 2: Diamond Dust Rebellion, and there were a couple curse words, and they look at me like i have two heads. I respond, this doesnt happen in the manga....

Trying to explain that Roy was a good guy did not go very far with me (what with the rage killing and darker artwork). And my Mom thought Scar was supposed to be like a wise sensei character. I quickly gave up on trying to explain it unless they asked.

I remember watching an episode of Clannad: After Story in my living room when we got netflix. I shed a few tears on the part when Ushio said: "Sanae said the only places I can cry are in the bathroom and in my daddy's arms" and my mom walked in and laughed at the fact that I was crying over a cartoon. <<

And I tried watching MAR with my dad a few years back when Toonami existed. He told me that I needed to watch more mature shows instead of something with talking weapons.

My siblings never thought anime was strange. I'd watch Dragon Ball/Z with my sister whenever it was on.

I'm just glad he didn't come in when Roy and Havoc where discussing her boobs...that would have been fun. Trying to explain Allen to my younger bro was funny, he kept thinking a toddler would pop outa the armor.
