Taylor Swift wrote this song after following the blog of a mother who had lost her four-year-old son to cancer, and performed it at the recent Stand Up To Cancer 2012 event. Discuss?
I'm not a huge fan of Taylor Swift, but I don't dislike her. Her songs are okay, however, they aren't really my cup of tea. But I have to admit, when I first heard this song, I bawled my eyes out. Maybe it's because I lost someone really dear to me, to cancer, but I found her performance of the song extremely moving. The song is beautiful, and I think her voice matches it perfectly. Since all proceeds go towards cancer research, I bought the song on iTunes. I probably would have bought it anyways since it is such a pretty song.
