Goddamn. Not as scary the first time around, but i still jump every now and then. Killed the merchant on accident. Freaked out, cause i wasn't sure if he came back or not. But he did. All is well. Should i buy the rifle? Right now i have the handgun, shotgun, and TMP with a stock. Also like 10 grenades. I have just enough room for it but i dunno if i should just wait til later. I'm at the part right after you kill the giant fish.
RE4 not scary? No **** Sherlock it's not survival horror anymore, it's just another crappy action game.
I tend to think the grenades are a bit more helpful, but the rifle is nice to have in tight situations.
You probably wont need it, seeming how far in the game you are. The rifle has the firepower, but long firing and reload time. Plus it wont really help you during close-range situations. You will need it later though. But then again, if you run out of ammo on all other weapons in a fight, it could save your ass.
When I was playing the game with my buddy we killed the merchant too :P nice phase. Yeah buy the rifle, but keep money for the broken butterfly. When you get broken butterfly, focus on upgrading mainly its firepower. Then you have something like a secret weapon for when you run out of ammo or when you're in deep sh*t.
you'll need the rifle to save the girl, trust me :/ you're on a ledge and you have to kill zombies off before they get to her, i think
