Sincemost things in life go through a series of evolutions.. Do you think it would be the same for our communities? I mean, back in the day, my parents always told me that the crimes were much less, and there was more peace in the world. Do you think crimes will become more deadly as inventions rise? Do you think that people will change up emotional behaviour? It's just a thought I had for a bit...since evolution is part of the world? Do you think in some ways it will go upwards to make it a better place, or downhill with deadly crimes, and whatnot.
well as we grow so does our need for money and greed and unemployment is big and people are goin hungry so theres more crimes also theres just bad people and deadly weapons that anyone can have so i think that it'll keep gettin worse as time goes by
I doubt the constant degredation of our communities will actually occur in most societies around the world. The future is quite unpredictable, and in the sense an increase in crime could not be attributed to the state of human civilization in general but the specific conditions of the community itself. "More peace in the world" when referring to the past is not necessarily true; although humans are somewhat aggressive by nature the constant evolution of principles has lead the present series of humans to be much more reasonable than their historic counterparts. Peace will quite definitely not be a universal constant, for there will always be some sort of disagreement or conflict as long as freedom of opinion still remains. I predict the rate of crime in the future either lessening in quantity by an either small or great amount, or staying at an amount equal to what we have today. As technology improves so do the methods to catch potential criminals, therefore reducing crime and a bit of the quality of life in general. Of course, with the unpredictable future the motives behind crimes may increase but partnering this with the fact that this subsequent rise in technology will allow authorities to catch criminals more effectively. Despite this, the level of crime is not the only factor of living quality in a community. With our quickly-improving technology things may change for the better. The usual motives of inventors in the first place is for the betterment of human kind.
As time goes on there are bound to be changes in the society that surrounds us, that much is obvious. But as to whether the world will get better or worse, I'd have to say that we're so wrapped up in political, economic, corrupt, bureaucratic, holy war-esque bullshit that it's really impossible to tell.
In general, the larger a population gets, the more violent and crime-filled it seems, simply because it's harder to control. I mean, when everyone knows everyone else, and any offender would be publicly ostracized, who would want to commit a crime? Especially against their friends. However, if you don't personally know your victim, it's much easier to objectivise him and shut his feelings out of your mind. Also, with a larger pool of potential suspects, victims, motives, and interactions, it's a lot harder to find criminals. Also, with more advanced technology comes more opportunities for violence. For instance, if you told a Roman-era soldier that one day, we would be able to destroy a city of several million people in an instant, he would have laughed in your face (and then probably impaled you for lying). And if that same soldier had told a neolithic (new stone age) hunter that one day, people could fling giant boulders through the air on tree branches, he would, again, laugh in the Roman's face.
