Yea I made this as a project for my design class to make an original design so we can put it on a shirt. We only had two days to do this and I did mines in Illustrator which meant I had even less time. Eventually I did it all in the last minute. I HATE the the thing in the middle I made using Illustrator even though my teacher keeps telling me it was my first time using that program I still hate it with a passion.
    CnC *****es.
I swear if you don't give any decent CnC I'm derepping you. Not kidding.

If you really are going to de-rep someone because of that, then you can't give proper CnC, so why even post it?

Type darling, it was a typo that is fixed now.

I meant that I was sick of people who say "It's good" and then leave. I want people to cnc the hell out of this piece of crap that Cin lovingly said "Did you vomit on the canvas?"

I think you should get rid of the odd thing in the middle of the green splatter/blob. Also, the checker board needs to go. Get rid of the light blue thing in the corner, and the purple vines. Then move "Gfx" below the green and yellow splatter/blob.

I like the voodoo doll, and how the vines seems to be creeping into the centre image.

Not too hot on the bottom right corner though, it's missing something....needs some nraish style.

    lol okay sure XD

Well, I'd be lying if I said this is a "good attempt" because I honestly don't even knowing what you were trying to attempt here. There's a bit of everything in terms of technique and style - which none have been worked to perfection - so in the end, it looks like a confusing jumble of...crap. At that, there is no structure, it's painfully obvious that the elements were placed at random. As Cin so bluntly stated, "vomit on canvas".

I would suggest already setting down which styles and techniques you plan on using, but limit yourself to two. That way it would be easier to express and set abound your 'ambiance' you want to create in your work. THIS ALSO GOES FOR COLOR! (Personally I would've kept in a vector style and mixed it with photos.)

While we're on the subject of colors; they do not collide with one another here. Set a colorscheme! You could have easily kept this in the reds and yellow, I don't see why the green, pink and blue had to be added.

Now structure. Like I had said before, the elements are placed at random. The ragdoll, what's it doing in the far left? It looks so lost and out of place - with the way it is, its presence is quite futile. The floral plants sprouting from the side...okay, so you have a bit coming from the top in the middle, and a second at the left. (Actually, I'm not even sure if the one at the left is supposed to be floral-ish like the top) Why not have that same repetition at the right? Which brings me to the checkered board - I find it so random xD especially since it's in a gradient. Why dat, lol?

The typography is just HORRIBLE <_<; I don't even know what else to say. It's not very legible, the letters aren't worked out at all (why is it all rigidy!? And the "S", "V" and "X" seem to have somewhat lost their true structure) and the letters aren't even in a fix size. Normally when we make a or several letters larger than another, it's done for a specific reason/to bring out an effect. But here it's not particularly bringing out anything, it just looks badly treated.

Yeah, hope that helps and makes sense at the while.

I was about to cnc but GIIIIIIIIIRLZ :D beated me to it, and noticed things I haven't even thought about. Take her words to concideration, she seriously knows what she's talking about.

Anywhoo, what put me off the most was that there was so many details on the minor objects surrounding the main object, which had no details at all. That just didn't work well. The result becomes that you don't know what you're supposed to look at.

Do you have to work more on this? I heard that the program you used was crappy unless you truely know how to take advantage of it. So obviously, the key to a successful design is to plan in advance what elements you want to use. Not much is required to make it look good, you could even do a black and green style if the t-shirt itself was black. *that'd be awesome*

I guess... it was just not your day. Don't think too much about it, now you know for a next time. :>

GIRLZ said everything I thought was wrong with it...THANK YOU D:
It was just a random desperate jumble of things to try to look pretty but I failed hard at it.
At first I was just going to have that thing in the middle, but when I failed at making it I added the text and wanted to draw my own and then when that failed I added the vectors. I think I should have just used a nice vector effect from the beginning and trashing the text and weird head thing when they looked like crap >_>

    It was a new brush I found and wanted to use it ;_;

Well since it's vacation time I'm just going to forget about it.
Yes Illustrator is a pain if you're not very good in it, we had to use that program and nothing else even though I told the teacher I'd do way better in photoshop =\

No it wasn't my day, I had a splitting headache the whole week and was a little stressed out from all the projects I had to turn in at the same day not to mention studying for all my exams >.<

    YA WELCOME TOOTZ DD:

You would've been MUCH better off trying to fix up the first design you started, instead of adding more and more and more elements which, in the end, did nothing more than blotch up the space. If you had worked through the first design, I'm sure we would've had more clean results than this accumulated mass of failed attempts in design. Rather have ONE half-finished design than having dozens of failed ones in one piece, which aren't even in harmony with each other. 3:

XDD I know that feeling all too well, but when it comes up to design you have to absolutely, at all costs, avoid doing that. That is picking anything you think is nice and slapping it on any work for the sole purpose of wanting to use it and not whether it will fit in the design you're working on or whether it would add anything to it.

Typically this is how some people come about with the most AWFUL of designs; simply by mashing up all sorts of brushes they thought were pretty INDIVIDUALLY on the canvas. XD Admittedly, sometimes this sort of random playing turns out to be quite nice, but a lot of the time it's overdone.
