    and then all of a sudden I hear whispering. I guess that I'm just hearing things and go back to what I was doing.

    More whispering. And not the sort of whispering where you're lowering your voice enough, the kind where it's very broken up and scary.

    All of a sudden I make out "... go to sleep."

    And there's my mom, standing in the doorway, unaware that I just about pissed myself.
