So I started watching Doctor Who.

...Why didn't I start watching this earlier?

Not sure what to think of the First Doctor yet, though.

I enjoy the new series but I don't think I could get through all of the old ones.

 

I'll probably only watch an episode or two a night.
And then there's the fact that I'll have to skip all the missing episodes...

But yea, so far they aren't nearly as funny as the new ones (though they do have their moments).
Also there have yet to be any hot guys, which is probably why it's not /quite/ up to my standards yet.

The new series is insanely amazing. I just hope you find the time to plow through to the new series soon.

 

I think that the old ones will start to get better once you reach 4th Doctor. Don't trust me on this, though. Haven't watched much of the old series.

 

Haven't watched much of the old series, only the new. But did you hear recently they found a bunch of the old missing episodes? Good news for all fans of the original :)

 

Isn't the original series lost forever except for like a million or so VHS tapes scattered across Europe?

 

Oh, I will. I plan on watching all of them at some point.

Which is kinda odd, actually, cause most of the shows from that era I like are stuff like Leave it to Beaver.

Well, all I can say is that I can't help but laugh at some of the old filming techniques, acting, the accents, and the suchI would just make me giggle and not take it seriously.
I would recommend watching from Eccleston onward if you get bored of the old ones.

 

Oh wow, I never really watched the first series (like 1st-8th Doctor, I may get around to it at some stage) but me and my Mother can actualyl talk about it because she used to watch it when she was my age xD. Although, I was watching a modern episode the other day and she was moaning because the Dalek was levitating >.< and she kept yelling "DON'T EVER TRUST A DALEK1!!!!2!" which was very strange xD

But yes... my thoughts exactly... why did I not start watching this program earlier.
