I'm not too thrilled, to be honest. Not only am I not of age yet, but I'll be stuck babysitting. Mum keeps on trying to make it sound fun but really, not much an underage person can do over there (as my sister had told me when she went). Gaaaah. This will be my first time so she's making that a reason as to why I should go. Though, it's kind of irritating me that I'm only 4 month away from being 21.

But I guess there's nothing to be done about it. She's being 'nice' enough to take us even though she'll basically ditch us to go gamble like she did in Laughlin. Oh well I suppose. No use in complaining.

So, anyone been there before? Been there when underage so you can tell me what I can do?

Wait, why can't she just wait 4 moths longer?

I've been there when I was 10 and it was awesome.

Ironically I'm half a year younger and have been of age for two years.

Gamble anyway? If you have money to spare it could be good fun. Especially if you try to play a card game or something.

I've been to Las Vegas twice. Never gambled, but I had fun in the city. Nice place.

Apparently not. I honestly have not a clue as to why she is taking us in the first place. It's not like she hasn't ditched us at home before. She does it often actually.

But I suppose there's no use in complaining. Might as well see how it goes.

Oh shush you. B| I'm not British. And if you were to come to Vegas, I'm sure they wouldn't let you do a thing.

I'm trying to save my money for AnimeExpo which is two weeks after I go to Vegas. I might check out the arcades though. I'm sure they're bound to have some.

Some of the hotels have roller-coasters/other rides (Stratosphere, Sahara, some others iirc), but they can be pretty pricey. Going to the top of the Stratosphere was great, especially at night. The strip itself is pretty damn impressive, and if it's too hot to walk or something, they have a monorail system from which you can see most of the big casinos and stuff. And they'll always have some kinda shows going on, I'm sure some of them are for people under 21. MGM Grande had a lot of 'exhibitions' when I went there, but I was too broke to see any of them xDx
Fair warning, pretty much the only thing you can get for cheap is parking. Everything else is expensive as hell.

Oh America, just when you give the youth freedom to be jailed, married, vote, smoke, and pedophile status at 18, they have to wait 3 more years to drink and gamble. Goodness knows how someone can be quite parched from not consuming any form of liquid for 21 years...

    >Underage
    >Nothing to do in Vegas

    ***** WHAT.

Let's make this simple. Only adults can gamble. A lot of adults have kids. Kids can't gamble. So adults need a place to leave their kids. A place that fits the casino theme. Flashing lights, coin traps... Are you starting to fill in the blanks? Almost EVERY casino has an arcade. And Vegas's arcades are some of the best you'll ever see. I beat Time Crisis 3 for the first time during a trip to Vegas. I even found an F-Zero AX machine! Do you know how rare those things are? Just ask your parents for a lil' token money and you're all set.

I'd be surprised if my mother actually gave me money. She didn't really give us any cash when we went to Laughlin so I doubt she'd give us a good amount to play some games. Besides, I'll be stuck with a three year old so I don't want to be out much by myself with her while Mum ditches us to go gamble.

No see that's the thing. The arcades are inside the casinos. Because otherwise you wouldn't go there, for the reason you just mentioned.

Also clearly you have not mastered the art of Whine Fu.

Oh no, my mom plans to ditch us the whole trip so there's no way I'm going to be able to follow her if that's what you meant. But, I suppose I'll just have to wait and see like I've stated before.

Why would I wanna do that?

US citizens are not allowed to own a fire arm until twenty-one, but can join the military and kill people with sub-machine guns at eighteen.

You wouldn't. It was sort of a joke at my own expense, since I can get almost anything out of my mother with enough whining.
