i mean, i loved me some mario and luigi through N64, Gamecube, and i dabbled with the Wii but good lord...thats like all i ever see pumped out for nintendo consoles that are any good nowadays is games actually made by nintendo. no other gaming companies just blowing my mind on the wii you know?
I honestly don't like the Wii much. There hasn't been a single game(apart from Skyward Sword) that I've been excited about. In my opinion, there hasn't been a good Nintendo system since the 64, though I am a bit biased, since that was my first Christmas present that I actually asked for. I still play my N64, to this day. Super Smash Bros., Golden Eye, Rocket: Robot on wheels, Banjo, Mario Party 3, Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, all some of the best games out there, and I don't think Nintendo has made games that good since. I'm not trying to be a super hipster about it, I just have a lot of fun playing those games still, they really outdid themselves on those(and a few more), and I haven't enjoyed a Nintendo console since the 64. The Wii could have been good, but most of the games they release are ultra-lame.
same here bro! when some of my relatives come over from time to time we just pop in the 'ole N64. also in my opinion Nintendo should've never let the PS3 and Xbox 360 get ahead of it in the HD gaming department. why the heck are they just now getting into it with the Wii U? just seems stupid to me.
There are some GREAT games for the Wii from 3rd party developers: No More Heroes No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle Goldeneye 007 Epic Mickey Mad World Xenoblade Chronicles And more. It's pretty easy to stereotype the console. There aren't quite as many amazing games, but the few that there are are really worth playing.
The problem with the Wii, is that it was first marketed as a console for kids, or new families, with kids under the age of, like, ten. That would have driven a lot of potention games away. It's also seen as a casual console as opposed to the Xbox and PS3. IMO, the most hardcore game I've played on the Wii, would be SSBB online. Other than that, it doesn't really have much to offer, in terms of new and nice looking games.
No, I'm not sick of Nintendo and I'm not sick of the Wii. There are plenty of third party games and Nintendo still churns out high quality titles.
I got to say, nintendo hasn't been making a whole lot of noise. I appreciate the classics though. I actually have emulators for the original nintendo, super nintendo, N64, gameboy advance, and now I have one for gameboy ds which isn't that great. The Wii was a nice idea at the time but it's kind of being overshadowed . . . by everything else. Considering Playstation and Xbox both upgraded to basically the same thing as Wii, the Wii has lost all of its advancement. Just like it's always been, it gets thrown out by the newer moves of PS and Xbox. At least Nintendo still has there handhelds, if you're a real gamer you know that no other handheld in the world beats the feel of a Gameboy Advanced SP. With it's few buttons and small size for carrying anywhere. Playstation tried to outshine Nintendo with the PSP but they should just stick with the home consoles. Nintendo has way more experience in that department. Well enough of my rant, on to the next one.
