WARNING: Contains strong violence/sexual content. Saya no Uta is a visual novel, released by Nitroplus. It translates to 'Song of Saya' or 'Saya's Song'. The basic plot is that after a car accident that killed his parents and left him in hospital, the protagonist, Fuminori, has had his senses permanently warped. Walls appear to be covered in flesh, food looks and tastes disgusting, his friends are horrifying creatures and their voices are unintelligible. Such a life is unbearable for Fuminori, until he encounters Saya, a young girl who looks normal in the world of horrors. The story is a romance between Fuminori and Saya, and has a strong underlying theme of true love conquering all. It has suitable BGM, and the drawings are done in a realistic style, as opposed to the overly exaggerated features of many anime. The player can make the occasional choice, deciding which direction the story will go. There are only two points in the game where the player has to choose, so it is easy to complete all routes.
