Well this is interesting. Crunchyroll never fails to amaze me. Im actually very surprised really. What are your thoughts KHV people?
I don't have that much knowledge about the Zelda games, but this seems a bit... odd to me, honestly. It seems like just a speculation rather than a rumor above all else.
LilBueno's gonna hate. Personally, I don't like the looks of this. If it is official, it's pretty screwy really. I always saw Skyward Sword being just before Ocarina, just like most people do, and I don't think this is going to change my mind, in all honesty. It'd be great to get true confirmation of the order of events, but I don't want this one. Call me picky, I guess.
...I ****ing hate this. I guess it makes sense that it split three times into A Link to the Past. Link did free the sages and **** in OOT so if he failed, I guess it's possible that he "loosened" Ganon for them and took care of him. Much later, aLttP happened...though I don't see how it would be any different from the Wind Waker because both of those timelines result in Ganon being sealed and the Hero of Time gone. Also, the split timeline theory says the timeline split because two things happened in each (Ganon being defeated early in Child Timeline and being defeated after ruling Hyrule in Adult Timeline). This third split, with aLttP, stems from something that may have happened (Link being defeated)? Doesn't make sense to me unless Link did die and was brought back during the game. So...he died and then aLttP, OoX, etc. = 1 timeline. He came back, defeated Ganon as an adult and then WW, PH, ST = Second Timeline. He went back to his childhood and used his knowledge to prevent the adult timeline from happening and then MM, TP, etc. = Third timeline. But he didn't canonically die, right?
If timelines are split, and none are announced as cannon then assume nothing, none of them are considered cannon, and yet they all are in a way... This seems a little haphazard to me... I mean most all of the Zelda games are in no way related story wise to each other, why start trying to piece them together? Are they going to more story focused and direct sequels may appear? I have worries. God I miss Wind Waker...
I see it more like this Child Timeline- Skyward Sword: Link was born and raised in Skyloft, a city above the clouds. One day, he finds a land below overrun by demons (Hyrule). With his Friend Zelda fallen and hidden in this world, Link Sets off to rescue her. This game explains the origins of the Master Sword. Ocarina Of Time: A mother was injured during the Hyrulean Civil war. The mother left the child in the care of the Deku Tree in the forest. The mother now dead, the child named Link was raised as a Kokiri and became the Hero of Time 17 years later. He saved Hyrule from Ganon and went back to relive his childhood. The timeline split and parallel Hyrules were created. Majora’s Mask: Link travels to Termina to search for a lost friend. Using the powers of the Ocarina of Time, he reverses time to relive the Three Days he spends here over and over to stop the moon from crushing Termina. He ventures to the Swamp, the Mountains, the Desert and the Great Bay to rescue the four giants that can stop the moon from falling. Link saves Termina, recovers Majora’s Mask for its original owner and departs back to Hyrule. Twilight Princess: A now grown up Link has to save Hyrule from the revived Ganondorf. He travels with the Twilight Princess Midna in his Wolf form. After saving Midna’s Twilight Realm, the curse on Hyrule Castle is lifted and Zant, who turned Midna into an Imp, is defeated. Link confronts Ganondorf. Killing Ganondorf, the curse on Midna is lifted and she shatters the Twilight Mirror after returning to her homeworld. Link returns the Master Sword to the Pedestal of Time. With Hyrule safe, Link departs from Hyrule. Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, and Oracle of Secrets (Linked Game): Link is sent to Labrynna by the Triforce and runs into the Oracle of Ages, Nayru. Link saves Nayru and Labrynna from Veran, and then starts another quest after seeing Din, the Oracle of Seasons in Hooldrum. Link saves Din from Onox and Princess Zelda arrives in Hooldrum. She is captured by the Twinorva Sisters as a sacrifice to revive Ganon. Link defeats Ganon and returns to Hyrule with Zelda. Adult Timeline- Wind Waker: Ganondorf escaped the Sacred Realm and went to conquer Hyrule, seeing no hope, the Gods flooded Hyrule to prevent him from doing so. A new Link, journeys to find his sister and stops Ganondorf with the help of Zelda. Minish Cap: About a century later, the 100 year anniversary since the Picori appeared is being honored in a festival. Suddenly, Vaati, the winner of the sword fighter contest turns Zelda into stone and breaks the Picori Blade. Link and Ezlo journey to get the four elements so that the Picori Blade can be reforged into the Four Sword. With Vaati defeated, the Four Sword sleeps. Four Swords: Vaati kidnaps Zelda and Link splits into 4 to save her. Vaati is defeated and the Four Sword is laid to rest again. Four Swords Adventures: Link splits into 4 once more to rescue Zelda and the Maidens from Shadow Link, Vaati and the Resurrected Ganon. After Ganon dies, the four sword is laid to rest forever. A Link to the Past: Ganon was imprisoned and then escapes once More. Link journeys to stop him and rescue the Maidens and Zelda. Legend of Zelda: Impa summons Link to save Zelda and the Triforce of Wisdom from Gannon. Gannon is defeated for the last time and Hyrule is saved. Zelda II: Being chased by Gannon's minions who aim to use his blood to revive Gannon, Link has to awaken the sleeping Zelda by gaining the Triforce of Courage. At the final moment, he finds a foe of one of his ancestors: The one and only Shadow Link. After defeating Shadow Link, Zelda is awakened and peace returns.
