Okay, so, where did the word "band-aid" come from?
I was putting one on today, and I thought, "What does band-aid mean, anyway?"

And this is what no school does to my head...@_@

Well, actually Band-aid is just a brand of bandages. The correct term is bandage, but the brand is so popular that most people refer to them as band-aids.

Lol. No, it's just a shortened term for bandages but it's kind of a mouthful and they aren't like the bandages you wrap around a large wound or a broken limb. It's for minor stuff likes small burns and cuts.

No, it's just popular among culture to call them band-aids. You probably just grew up with your family calling them band-aids.

SN: Yeah, not gauze [sp lol?] bandages.
