Madonna has secured the US film rights to "Parasite Eve," the Square-designed PlayStation RPG based on a Japanese film that was based on a Japanese novel. So, we have a US film, based on a videogame, that's based on a film, that's based on a book. Whew.

No word on who's scripting, starring, producing, directing, funding, or watching the movie, but head on over to our sister entertainment site, DailyMovies, for the most current information on the project.
