    Tides of Darkness
    by Rapid Ignis

    The darkness, darkness, so complete.
Hides my shame, I'm so obsolete.
When I crave the light once again,
I shall try to look past the Rend.
The Rend in my soul, deep and wide.
I can not fathom its dark tides.
Tides that move and flow through my soul.
Tides that will destroy all I know.

Just a bit of poetry, I'll leave the meaning up to anyone who dares to peer into its macabre depths.

This was pretty good. I'm always a fan for the types that rhyme.

I may have changed some of the word styling in a few of your lines, but not bad none the less.

btw, any fan of Pendragon, is friend indeed.

Thank you... I quite literally just thought that one up on the spot, I'll need to get some better poetry up sooner or later.

That's quite alright. Some of the work I do is written on the spot. (seen under my sig) Sometimes, beautiful things can be made all within the last second.

    Flashing Before My Eyes

    Flashing Before My Eyes
    -by Rapid Ignis

    Light, light, glorious light.
    Dark, dark, dark as midnight.
Where, where, will I go now?

Fire, fire, is in the sky.
Ice ice, rains from up high.
Why, why, can't I see now?

    Lightning, lightning, streaks down.
    Earth, earth, shaking the ground.
What, what, is holding me down?

    Life, life, so abundant.
    Death, death, so redundant.
Now, now, I'm going home now.

(Yes... I know most people say 'Fire' with two syables, but I always say it with one... so... yeah...)

    I see the world, shat-ter-ing
    I see your face, van-ish-ing
I see not what to do, life is turned in-side-out
I have this blade, it is pow-er-ful
    I have a heart, it is doub-out-ful
I have a soul, it is warped all-a-bout
I will win you back, mark-my-words
I will do my best, us-ing-swords
I will see your face, don't-you-pout

(I have to get off the computer now [damn my parents and their stupid rules] so I'll just post what I have here, I'm not done yet though)

    War-poem-song-chant

(tune to "I'll make a man out of you")

    The Darkness closes in,
    Our Time, has come.
    Did we win the Wa-ar?
    Have we lost, the Day?
    You're the Bravest men
    I ever led.
    Our time, draws near
    Soon they'll be upon us,
    Now, we Fight!

(music fades away, many men shouting together)

    We fight, for Honor!
    We fight, for Valor!
    We fight, for Victories!
    We fight, our Enemies!

    {I really don't know... honest... this just came to me.}

Hmmm this one wasn't bad, and it did, for the most part follow the rhythm you wanted. War poems can be quite powerful if you know what it is you're looking to take away form your audience.

Thank you for the comment Rhiscx, and without further ado, here is my next poem:

I look out, over the feilds of useless banter,
I look out, over the dunes of half-finished work,
I stare down, at the deep abyss of stranded lives,
I stare down, at the dead and dying peoples
    Of K. H. Veeeeeee

Heh... just a little image of how this site has trapped so many people, as I've seen some of the older members complaining about. (and also all the thousands of members who never ever post)

I do like the rhythm you have in your poems dear, makes them more like songs, which I do love.
And that last one made me laugh I will say.
All of your poems are very different from poetry I usually see around, which is a very good thing I will say.
Lovely work sweetheart, and do keep it up <3~

Thank you very much for the sweet comments Daxa... it's nice to have a stalker... even if she stalks everyone else too ;)

    The Kingdoms and the Keys,
    does this happen to thee?

When all thou friends relly on thee?
    And all efforts are tra-ge-dy?

When light is broken and gone is glee,
hope shall rise and bring back memory!

    Once, twice, thrice,
    Three small mice,
    Nibbling on the rice.

    Dashing and able,
    Living in stables,
The mighty and proud horses of Able,

    I don't understand this poem. o:

This there a meaning behind it, or is it just for rhyming purposes?

Just for rhyming and rythm purposes, I had to do a few poems for my english class, the only thing that they have in common is that all three lines rime, each stanza is about a species of animal, and in each stanza the first two lines have the same number of syllables while the last is double the ammount of syllables in the previous lines.
    (ex: 3,3,6 and 5,5,10)

Also... these look like something little kids would sing.... nothing at all like my other poetry >_<

    It Will Find a Way

A raft, a girl, two boys,
    A storm, a loss, a gain,
A battle, an ending, new beginnings

A dog, a duck, two friends,
    A ship, a flight, a task,
    A finding, a teaching, discovery

A town, a war, two sides,
    A light, a sword, a quest,
A meeting, a joining, first victory

A key, a blade, two kinds,
    A shout, a call, a cry,
A journey, a hurting, the searing loss

A greed, a love, two lives,
    A death, a heart, a key,
A giving, a loosing, dear sacrafice

A shade, a light, two sides,
    A love, a call, a life,
    A rebirth, an escape, victorious

(this is a song about something that you all should recognize, please comment to tell me how horrible I did and what I can do to make it better)

    Gasping for air
    Ripping my hair
    Stepping in line
    Stretching my time
    Sobbing to sleep
    Screaming awake
    Shouting death threats
    Striking my friends
    Reeling with grief
    Wrecking my life
((notice how I dropped the Rhymes after a few lines? I was half asleep when I did this... completely forgot I was trying to rhyme >.<))

    Darkness
    By Ze Operator
    An opposite, a reject,
Life’s infamous power of the dark is raw and correct.
The illusion people display, is fear and disdain,
This power gives the strength to kill and to maim,
People fear the power of darkness, and rightfully so,
But there is one thing that prevents it to grow.
It’s polar opposite, the light of dreams,
It fills the grey spaces, and reattaches life’s seams.
But people forget this one simple fact,
Darkness isn’t bad, and shall always come back.
Depends on the users alliance, and their way of use,
People are cruel, they are the fear they induce.
So, fear not young child, the dark is neutral and isn’t bad,
It’s the corruption from within that makes life feel unclad.

    The post of Haiku:
    What once filled my cup
Now drains away all I have
    Sorrows are many
    Without any sound
    Without a warning or cry
    A lone shot rang out
    Light grows dim and dark
Darkness thrives and gains much ground
    Shade is cast on life
    Please, help me to see
I am blind to joy and mirth
    What life can this be?
((Sorry for being so dismal, I had a lot weighing on my heart, and I needed to let some of it out))

Wow, I hadn't read any of these before, but I've been feeling in a poetry-reading mood lately and so since I saw that you updated, I decided to read yours. I liked your style of rhyming, even when you strayed from the rhyme, it still flowed pretty well. And I like the dark themes, they make me feel all sad and happy at the same time. :)

Wow, thank you so much... I use this site as an outlet for negative energy sometimes... as such my poems tend to be dark-themed... I'm glad you found some joy from them.

    A clang, a crash,
    Darkness in a flash.
    Despite my fears,
    I'll fight on for years.
    He won't back down,
    He is not your clown.
    Death, consuming,
    His life, it's fleeing.
    Free from the dim,
    Life does not own him.
    Examples made,
    I'll expose the shade.
