Oh, i love those books. I just finished up the 4th one, Battle of the Labyrinth, and it's quite good. I was a fan of greek mythology before these came out, so i snatched them up right away, and loved them.

I love these books. I'm currently on Battle of the Labyrinth...I got it not long after it came out but I was in the middle of the Twilight series at the time, so I couldn't start until now. It's pretty good so far.

They're very clever; maybe a little simplistic but that's okay, I love all the jokes and puns about Greek mythology and how it was all incorporated into the modern world.

The books are very amusing. It is interesting how common Greek Myth characters interact with Percy, Annabeth, etc. Unfortunately I haven't gotten myself to read the 4th book. I am too busy reading another series. T_T

Isn't the 5th book titled "The last Olympian"? Gee, I wonder what it's about. I've read all of them, but it's annoying how the author has a set time for when the books will be released :\ Like (I'm pretty sure this is when the books came out, don't bash if I'm wrong) the first one came out in 2005, the Second in 2006, the Third in 2007, and the Fourth in 2008. And the next one is supposed to come out next year. Off Topic: I'm reading a book series I just found out about (The Wind on Fire trilogy) and the books have at least I want to say 400 pages each, usually a mid-400 paged book, and he's written the books faster than the author of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians author, the guy even has set months and days for when the books will come out, and like a year before they come out. I mean, he's got to finish the books earlier than that, right? So why does he have a set date? The most books I've read didn't have a set date, they just came out when they were published. But then again, I don't really know the whole publication system anyway. On topic: The books are sort of funny, but not the funniest (and I'm talking about books that aren't all about comedy), the books seemed short to me, but I guess that's because it's one of those page-turner? books. I don't really like the fact that Percy is a (don't read if you will de-rep me about dissing somebody who doesn't even exist, I'll even write it in white text) pussy. I mean really, he's supposed to be the son of Poseidon, yet 9 times out of 10 he accidentally uses his powers. I don't know, it just seems like he doesn't go straight for a kill like Luke (my favorite character since he reminds me of Riku, a lot) does.

well first of all, i love the books almost to death. i started reading the series this summer because it was on my summer reading list and i had wanted to read the books and see the movie so i chose to read that for my summer reading. currently, i'm on book 5 (The Last Olympian). after i finish the series, i'm going to read The Lost Hero book that's out.

i saw the movie and it doesn't stick to the book at all. the worst part about the movie is how they didn't put in Clarisse, Dionysus, Ares, or Nancy Bobofit. to me, they were important for the story line of the book. but i did like how they did the Lotus Casino and Aunty Em's Garden Gnome Emporium. the songs were amazingly chosen. i liked how they put in Poker Face by Lady Gaga and Tik Tok by Ke$ha, both in the Lotus Casino scene. my favorite set of lines is when Percy was given Riptide to defeat Mrs. Dodds and he said to Mr. Brunner, "This is a pen." and then Mr. Brunner said, "You hold a mighty weapon." (or something like that... i haven't seen the movie in a while) so Percy says, "This. is a PEN." that pert just cracks me up every time i think about it.

i like Percy, Annabeth, Nico, Thalia, Rachel Elizabeth Dare (i just love her name!), Beckendorf, and Silena. mainly because they all have important roles in books 3-5. i wouldn't say i hate Luke though. he has his positives and negatives so to me he's pretty much neutral. but i do hate Dionysus, but mainly because he sounds like a grumpy, old jerk-face man. (that totally sounded like something Percy would say about him...)

i haven't determined which book is my favorite yet though. i can't decide between The Lightning Thief, The Titan's Curse, and The Battle of the Labyrinth. but so far i like The Lightning Thief mainly because it's setting up the series and how Rick Riordan describes how everyone looks. how he describes everyone makes it easier for the readers to imagine them really good without the need to re-describe them completely in every book.

The Last Olympian starts off really dumb. it's like it's trying to be the first in the series. but then it starts to sound like the last book in the series. i don't know yet if it continues to sound like the last book of a series or not because i'm only in chapter six...

Love. that. Series. I've read through the series.....5 times maybe? It sounds nerdy, but I go through them really fast. I'm currently reading The Last Olympian (ah...again) and I can't get enough of this series. *Sounding like one of those nerdy kids* When I first heard about The Lost Hero, I ran out to Borders to get it, just got it before it closed. Reading till 3AM FTW. Ah, anyway, can't wait until book 2 of Heroes of Olympus Series (I won't say anymore for semi-spoilers of those who haven't read The Lost Hero yet)

Yes. Go read it, right now. :/8D:

I read the whole series about a year ago. I loved them all. The battles were described in awesome detail. Everything was just great and I loved how they revealed the mysteries bit by bit. The books were addictive for me and once I started reading The Lightning Thief I couldn't put any of them down...
