One year ago today....

A small 15 year old brunette was walking around the dreariest corners of some odd forest. Seeing as all of her friends were out doing something interesting, she went for a walk. It started to rain, so the wee girl ran her little legs back toward her house and threw herself into the door.

After taking a shower and drying off, she was lying on her bed with absolutely nothing to do. All of her friends were at a wild party and she had dropped her only form of communication with them, her cell phone,outside in the pouring rain.

She stood up and the first thing she saw was her computer screen.

Bored, she walked over to it and jammed her small little 15 year old finger into the power button. The old piece o' crap whirred to life.

She saw her background. It was a picture of Kairi that somebody had drawn and she, being a giddy little Kingdom Hearts fangirl, decided would make a great desktop. She almost melted upon seeing it again, it was so beautiful.

Reminded of KH, she decided maybe she could get up to date on what was going on in the Kingdom Hearts world. But she didn't like news stories, she wanted videos. So, she typed into her wee little search engine "Kingdom Hearts Videos."

FLASH FLASH BANG. The first website to come up with kh-vids.net. "Wow! It must have lots o' videos! It's even got an abbreviation for videos in its title!" Astonished by the utter authority of the site itself, she felt compelled to join.

But oh! What a problem! She had no planned username. She now wanted to join this website so bad, but what username could she possibly use?

She thought of her heart-stopping background and then got an idea.

"kairi" she typed into the box.
"ALREADY IN USE, GO KILL YOURSELF NOOB." the screen shouted back.
The timid girl lost 10 self esteem points, but forced herself to continue.
"1kairi"
"THAT ONE IS TOO, WE DON'T NEED PEOPLE AS NOOBISH AS YOU! GO AWAY!" the screen exploded before her.
The little girl burst into tears at the site of this. She minimized the window, unable to look at the website anymore.

But then she saw kairi, beautiful, heart-warming kairi, staring, smiling at her, willing her to carry on.

She looked in the corner of the desktop and saw with her own eyes who it had been created by:
"01_isuckatmakingthingsbutthinkiamgood"
What an amazing person.

She opened the window back up and tried to ignore the flashing messages telling her that she was uncreative. She closed her eyes, and then it came to her: What her username must be.

"01_Kairi" she typed into the box.

The screen accepted.

The first thing she did as a member was upload the beautiful drawing of the amazing lady that was kairi as an avatar.

And the rest is history.
